Now for Reddit for Android
Random crashes, some poor UI choices. Better options exist
Latest update puts ads on the images as you open. Unacceptable, switching off of this trash pile.
Just love this app, best at finding new information from people like yourself
This app is empirically better than the official Reddit application. I have some spreadsheets somewhere I can link anyone who wants to see the evidence.
Excellent app. Can you add a feature so i can change the position of + to the right side. Cheers
Why isn't there an option to delete submissions?!?!?
Best Reddit app
Really needs a new way to get to a subreddit quicker. You either have to scroll through a long list on the side bar, or type in the exact name in the "go to" option, or search it in browse and hope it shows in the results. Make a scrollable menu? Maybe one where you can start typing the name, and all the subs that start with what you typed are left. The only thing this app needs.
Bought the full version after trying other Reddit apps since it's the only one I enjoyed. The new UI is awesome! Took a few minutes to get use to navigating and searching but totally love the changes! Only thing I could complain about it the setting for checking the mail got reset but it's not a huge problem lol. Also I'm glad it got reinstated :D
Edited now that the notification issue has been fixed. There's not another Reddit app that's better than this one, and I tried them all trying to find a replacement! Shout out to the creators - they contacted me to try and fix the issue right away and I am happy with their communication. This is a great app except for one thing - I don't get notifications! Yes, I have all the settings done properly. It was working fine, until the last update. Now, it notifies me hours after the fact, if at all. I'm about to uninstall this app because of it.
Recently this app would freeze my entire phone when I open links. I have a Nexus 6P, which can handle most apps with no problems. But when I open certain like is my entire phone freezes which forces me to restart the entire phone. Thought maybe setting it to open in chrome woild fix this, but even that works.
Overall good app. Most frustrating part is that it doesn't remember your sort preferences on a subreddit level. So if you're browsing r/all on hot and go to r/funny top/all time then go back to all, the sort will be messed up and you'll start seeing the top posts of all time
Best Reddit app out there but it forces you to login to view the for NSFW subreddits. You can't change the filter setting unless you create an account and/or login. The developer has informed me this is because Google forces them to pull the app because of NSFW content and that was the proposed work around. Boo on Google.
Best Reddit app until a couple weeks ago. I would click on a link and then scroll and it would suddenly freeze up to the point where I had to force close it and restart the app. Happens 9/10 times I click on a link. Really annoying and hope this bug gets fixed soon. Will change rating to 5 stars once fixed.
/r/the_donald has been in the top two subreddits when you tap "browse subreddits" for the past few months at least. It has been the top suggestion for at least two weeks even after I put it in my subreddit filter. Is this a bug or the dev promoting the subreddit? Can it be removed now that the election is over at least?
The best Reddit app. I finally tried the official Reddit app and came right back to this one. Being able to arrange subreddits as I please, swiping between them with ease and unobtrusive ads are all features that make me love Now for Reddit!
It was my favorite reddit browsing layout but unfortunately after scrolling for about five minutes it will stop loading posts and fail to refresh. I get times where content just refuses to load at all even when wifi is established. Great layout but very unreliable.
Very good app with a good mobile interface. My one complaint is that there's no setting to force it to sort hot always. I hate sorting to top posts of all time and having everything refresh to top of all time.
I just got a new phone today because my old one is broken. I had this app on my old phone and I don't remember having to agree to so much access. Why is that necessary?
I really like the sleek layout and the smooth transitions between subreddits. The only downside is I don't have more time to waste reading crazy stuff on red dit. Thanks for the great app!
I love the dark theme setting. The UI is very intuitive. My only complaint is that sometimes some gifs will load once, but if I try them again they won't.
Cleanest layout for handing out down votes like a boss. Reap loads of Karma off reposts easily with one click! Mods hate this app cuz it's sooo brutal!
Love the app. Today it suddenly stopped working. I deleted an account and now it just shows nothing available. Can a programmer help me out? I already uninstalled and reinstalled.
This app has way more available features than a lot of the other unofficial Reddit apps out there. Plus the default image views for image and video posts are bigger and better... Update: you all are killin it with the updates. Seriously, fantastic work! I use this app on a daily basis
I enjoy using this app on my phone, but I can't use it on my ChromeOS because the "skip" button on the tutorial screen doesn't work and it permanently obscures the view. Once that's fixed, I will be able to say that this app is better than the official one.
Great app, does what the official reddit app should. However over the last few months, my front page keep loading old posts, rather than the up to date ones, similar to if I was offline. This needs to be fixed.
Gfycat gifs still don't load on LG G5, other than that, this is the best Reddit app I've used and I stand by it!
Great app for browsing Reddit. The app does crash when I try to refresh and I am not at the top of the my subscriptions.
Gfycat gifs suddenly broke months ago, they said they fixed in the patch notes twice now but it is still broken Using data or switching wifi does not fix the problem, imgur gifs and images continue to work fine but not gfycat.
COMPLETELY TAKES OVER REDDIT by default automatically upon installation. Using the app isn't ALWAYS preferable! If you try to get a subreddit link from google quick and you have this app installed on your phone it REFUSES to let you open the link in your browser so you can copy it normally. Once it's opened in Now for Reddit, the only options for the subs are "Search Subreddit" or "View Sidebar" you can't get the link to the sub anywhere. Since you can't open ANYTHING on reddit if you have this installed, there is literally NO WAY to get a link t a subreddit w/o completely uninstalling the app! That's nonsense! Changed rating from a 4 to a 1. EDIT: Developers say this is a feature of all reddit apps, this is not true. I've used multiple apps taht still allow me to open links in other apps if I want to, Android works default apps this way, same with twitter and tweets. Only Now for Reddit takes over the default setting without asking or allowing you to change it! Just double checked with official reddit app,. "Complete action using..." still pops up like normal, but not with Now for Reddit! (yes i cleared my app defaults). There is no "copy to clipboard" as the dev replied with.
Having a problem with it force closing while opening imgur links. Still the best app on Android though.
Great app but searching in the subreddits is awful, barely works at all. Other than that it's great from what I know
Might be my OS update, but the scrolling is a bit on the jerky side, has this fling acceleration I don't remember seeing before EMUI 5 on Android 7
Been using this app for about a year or two, and other than the ability to gift gold has all the features I need! The dev is also active on reddit and promptly replies to bug reports on /r/redditnow. Thanks!
Official app has no landscape mode. This does. Get it together reddit.
Edit: Ad-free bought, thanks for quick reply and great app! UI beautiful, really recommend Great app overall. Comment-section ads are really annoying though, would gladly pay for an ad-free version
App used to be great. However, a recent update changed the behavior so the developers subreddit is now the default location, even if you haven't closed the app! This is incredibly annoying as I don't want to lose the thread I was in just because I answer a phone call or respond to a text message.
OK, I take it back. The ads in full screen videos taking up unnecessary screen real estate are really annoying. Think I might just change back to Relay.
Clean interface, intuitive functionality, and it doesn't crash often like the official app. I initially gave it a poor review for ads, but considering the official app shoves sponsored ads in my face more often, I'll get over it.

I have looked at a few other apps for Reddit and it may be that this was the original app I started with, but I can't find an app that beats Now for Reddit. My favourite feature, by far, is the colour-coded nested comments so you can easily keep track of which comments are replies to other comments. Beautiful app, never really crashes and intuitive functionality.
