Basically it is what it says it is, a map that can be used offline. But there are precious few "tourist features". For example the most popular town, Bowness, simply gets a 27-word description, half of which is telling you it's the most popular town. 4 features of the town are mentioned, including the famous lake Windermere ferries, yet inexplicably they do not even appear on the map. The A-Z index is handy as selecting a point takes you straight to it on the map, but there are very few of them, sadly missing are things like tourist information office locations, toilets, places to eat and so on. I can't help but feel this is a great opportunity missed. So much potential here for a cracking tourist-guide type app (which is what most of us are looking for) but this definitely misses the ferry and frankly you're better off carrying a paper map.
