The Defence Science and Technology (DSTO) is part of Australia's Department of Defence. DSTO is a national leader in safeguarding Australia by delivering valued scientific advice and innovative technology solutions for Defence and national security. It is the second largest publicly-funded research agency in Australia, employing 2300 people, mostly scientists and engineers who work across a broad range of disciplines to ensure that the nation's defence and national security capabilities are always at the leading edge.
