I paid for it know I cant use all of it. It takes like 5 min to open garage with all the permissions

I used the Do it Yourself method as explained on the YouTube video for the hardware piece, then the associate app for the easy control functions. Works great!

It will not let me log in..even after I try to reset my password I'll put the code in and still won't let me!!!!!

Built my adapter based off of the youtube video. That cost $15 in parts. Installed the app, worked first time the button was pushed.

This application has all settings and options a person could want or need. The YouTube videos are easily accessible, clear, and simple enough that a novice could follow along. The developers (Lou) email response time is top notch. This product shows time, effort, dedication and passion. Wow!

This was easy to install and got it up an running in less than 10 minutes. Has better range than the garage remote that came with the opener. A++

I've been using the app for over a year now and am very happy with it. Its simple to use and easy to configure. As others have stated the developer is quick to respond to questions.

App is great. Slick, polished, does just what it says. I had fun building it. Instead of sliding the transistor along the edge of the connector, I soldered it to the plug up near the top.

I paid for this app before it went free and now latest version crippled features. No longer do I get an audible sound (I backup car, do no visual indication, until I'm out in the cold to see it didn't open). Also, app closing after a timeout was always useful, now while driving out I need to mess with clearing the app to get to home screen. Not a good way to treat customers who had faith in the beginning to force them to move to 4.0, when current solution worked just fine.

Unable to get this to work with the hm1100 from the Hong Kong seller on eBay. I suggest using the Oem Samsung hm1100 only. I spent more money screwing around with being cheap. Lou is a great help also if you have questions. Had to take away a couple stars, no longer a one click app for us older users, now have to go through 3 or 4 steps to open the door. Please bring back 1-click.

I have been using this for over two years now. I donated and love the app! Be sure to go to their website to download an older version if you still want the original settings capabilities that were lost with the newest update, such as the automatic button press when the app is launched.

and I've upgrade to different devices many times since I paid my $25... and it still works solidly! sometimes my garage door on the other side won't even open with the real remote... so I think I'm going to have to upgrade that side too soon!! best thing about this - DIY, LOVE that!!!

just finished several bluetooth earpiece mods... thanks to this app i now have a bluetooth remote for my garage, a bluetooth remote garage side-door lock (made using a car-door lock solenoid, relay, and bluetooth earpiece), and a bluetooth activated security light. This app does exactly what it says it does, and it is super easy to build your own bluetooth "whatever" to work with it. I tried a few other custom bluetooth remote apps, and they all had bugs and connection issues. This app works perfect when used as suggested, or maybe even how not suggested, depending on your level of tinkering. I will also be using the GarageMate 4.0 as soon as I get a bluetooth 4.0 control module.... the possibilities are endless..... To infinity and beyond.....

I've been using this for several years the only problem is my wife cannot install it on her phone now. I have an HTC One which supposedly is not compatible there was able to install it and it works great. My wife also has an HTC One but were not able to get the install.

A very doable "Kid" project that cleverly demonstrates the use of a transistor as a switch, triggered wirelessly by software on your cell phone.

Works flawlessly, quick and easy way to open my garage door now, no more remotes!

I chose to set up from scratch . I bought the HM 1100 blue tooth headset, got out the soldering gun, and followed the YouTube instructions. Probably took me about an hour. If you haven't soldered before I would recommend buying the kit. Once the headset is connected to your garage door opener the app really is simple to use. Is an app I use on a regular basis.

I'm very happy to be able to open my garage door with my phone. I followed their instructions and built my own Bluetooth garage door opener. The app itself has nice features like the ability to automatically background itself after 10 secs. Everything in the name of absolute ease of use. Please make an iPhone version for my wife's phone.

If you're a person that enjoys doing nifty little gadget projects then this is the app and mod for you. With the help of the YouTube video it took me about 45 minutes to complete. I've had no issues with it at all. Works everytime.

I followed the super easy YouTube video to create my very own Bluetooth receiver and tada, my phone can now unlock my garage! I have multiple cars and don't always go for the one in the garage, but when I do, I don't have to run back inside to grab the opener because I have it on my phone. Yes, it's not always very quick to respond or Bluetooth connection might die, but in reality it's a problem with my phone and not with the app. In 1 year that I have been using this app, I never had a problem that couldn't be remedied by restarting my Bluetooth connection and trying again. And the best part; when I will move, I will take my Bluetooth opener with me to my new place!! Awesome.

It took a little work to get the HM1100 adapter connected the the garage door but after that was completed it's been all rainbows and unicorns. The app works perfectly.

Stupid!! Why don't u manufacture it and sell it with the app??

My garage door opener stopped working with any type of standard remote, and I've been having to use the hardwired button for a few months now. I tried many remotes and replaced parts on the opener; nothing worked. I found this hack, and since the hardwired button still worked I had great hope that this would, too. Well, I built the device myself and hooked it up according to the plans on the developer's website. It works flawlessly! Now, I don't have to keep wasting time trying different remotes, or have to

I have a steel line garage door controller and I am still waiting for a reply so I know where to connect the wires from the headset.

After watching Lou's You Tube video I decided to buy all the items locally (I'm in the UK) to self-build my Bluetooth garage opener. It took me 1/2hr to build & install and worked flawlessly from the very beginning. The app itself is simple and straightforward and offers just the right amount of customisation. Building the receiver is as easy as Lou makes it look and the app works well. Thanks Lou.
