Phonak RemoteControl App for Android
I had the Siemens for some time. Their app is way better. One of the features missing is the possibility to adjust the hearing aids using the phone without a streamer. Siemens uses tones from the phone. Quite an old technique but efficient and no need for a remote control that easily gets lost. With a phone app you just install the app on the new phone when your phone get lost. Gert
The app is rubbish, if battery gets low you are told you have to re-pair the device with the app even though its already connected (and possible to stream) The app then suggested i upgrade the app to the latest version despite there not being an update. That said once its working the compilot itself work very well, sound quality is actually excellent, its just a pity the app is poor. HTC 10
They need to take a lesson from Resound. Why do we need the com pilot to connect aids to phone to use the app? Resound connects the app straight to the phone. I never use the com pilot, has to hang around your neck. Needs further development. I use a Samsung Galaxy S7
Despite repeated attempts, as well as reloading app from different sources into Galaxy S5, simply would not pair, reporting internal issue with compilot air II. Now revised from one to (now) three stars. It turns out that provider apparently did not install the required hearing profile into the air II, which was the missing info required for the app to link and function. After a visit to the provider, I can now report that the app does pair up and function, but in my case, it's functions are pretty limited. The pros; individual ear volume control, as well as streamer volume. The cons; very scant operating instructions, also when the HA's are set to automatic, most of the other functions are disabled. So unless I'm missing something hidden, it's not a world changing app.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s5 and have a compilot II 1528H046A. Every time I attempted to connect it says I don't have the right equipment
Phone and ear hearing aids don't sync. Thus not sure compilot II even changes hearing aid, though the tone sounds but changing from Hearing aid indicate no change was made. I have Audio Bedford 312 and co-pilot II.
It took me 4 days to get used to them being in my ears and the Bluetooth. I took my right (weak) ear out and it felt as if I where deaf. I have what the doctor explain to me as being and extremely severe case of tendonitis. It also took a few days as long as I'm wearing my hearing aids that high pitch ringing is gone. It is completely unreal I could have never in my wildest dreams hope to even get half the noise out of my wars let alone 100%
Keeps a message going that something is missing? CP AIR2 works basically without the app so the additional built-in features are inaccessible.
Does exactly what it's supposed to, Samsung galaxy A5 and J1
Not good, people. It's paired through my Samsung Galaxy edge7 and is non responsive. I have the V90-RIC 312.
Great app! Once I had it synced with my Compilot Air II by my audiologist, it works flawlessly. I use it all the time.
Won't hood up
Looking how far technology has come those days
IT’S supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Refuses to connect
But wish it would ... come on Phonak, get it together ... we expect better out of a big outfit like yourselves.
It does not work with all phonak hearing aids. I have the compilot 11 and it just tells me "Wrong device found" with no other info. Apparently, it only works with the high-end aids, but doesn't tell you that. Totally useless for me. C'MON PHONAK-MAKE IT WORK WITH ALL HEARING AIDS THAT USE THE COM PILOT! DON'T BE SO CHEAP AND PETTY!
I have a Galaxy Note 4 and only have very basic controls for volume - I know that more functions are avaliable but the VA doctor wouldn't enable them. I should have more control without the doctors approval - these restrictions are pathetic
Great app now that my streamer has been updated so I can control the balance and volume of my Cros. I would like to see a balance control built into the Com Pilot ll and also a base and treble control would be fantastic.
Does not work with Compilation I
Lots of potential if the app worked.
Keeps saying wrong device used so it's useless
Works great
Refuses to connect
I have V90s fitted and i do feel that the app offers very little control, example better control of music programme to change bass treble etc would be good. Also a reset to aid settings button is needed. I am hopeful that Phonark will continue to develop the app and look forward to reviewing its development as we move forwards.
I can pair my com pilot to the phone but not this app. Phonak hearing aids aren't much better.
With all the negative reviews for this app, I really don't see how it could actually get as many stars as it does. I am a Electronic Networking Technician and have 15 years experience. I am unable to get this program to link to my com-pilot II. Even if I was able to, it looks very basic, and useless. From what I understand, you still need the com-pilot to connect to your android device. So why not use the com-pilot volume control?
No meaningful addition of functionality. Does not utilize phone or tablet's GPS to automate settings. Does not permit user to add programs. Just controls volume. I have a Nexus 7 2013 tablet with which app is compatible. There is no app for my windows phone.
The same problem that others mentioned. My Compilot II is paired to my Samsung S6 with Android 5.1.1. I can't get past the attempt to connect. Weird.
Would score higher if didn't also need a remote!
Will not work With my aids and com pilot ll
Won't work with copilot 1
Doesn't even pair with the device9
The app insists that it participate in pairing a comPilot with the phone. If you've done that already, fugidaboutit. You'll do it again if you want to move forward.
Basically just a duplication of com pilot controls for volume adjustment. Would be nice to give more access to other program features offered by the hearing aids.
I finally got this app connected by first disconnecting from bluetooth. I found that while using this app, I can no longer stream audio or talk on the phone via the commpilot. It's only good for control.
My Compilot II connects, but I get this error: There is missing data on your streamer. Contact your hearing care professional. What data is missing ??? I have Nexus 5 w/Android 5.0.1.
Fail because it doesn't provide customers needs. It simply won't connect, kinda defeats the purpose of this whole thing despite what you say. Update it with patches to meet our needs...not so hard.

Works fine on h850 (G4) with Audeo V90. I suggest option to disable/enable telecoil when put regular headphones. Another suggestion is set timeout in seconds when will from bluetooth to audio sense switch. There are situation when you switch often but want to stay on bluetooth when no sound is affected.
