A "Buddha Machine" or "Buddha Box" is a generic term which FM3 co-opted for their great device, which mimics the electronic sound devices you can sometimes get from Buddhist temples or asian markets. FM3 just came up with their own original sounds in a form factor just like the originals.

The real Buddha Machine is a trademark of, and is made and sold by, the Chinese band FM3, and features their music. This is a fake, capitalizing on their name and mark. These loops suck and are not the same as the real Buddha Machine.

Rather disappointing. Samples are short and one has a jarring cut in it. No sleep timer, either.
