Philips Treatment

When I bought this expensive device over others I did not expect it to collect and send my personal medical information to you. This is crossing a line under the UK Data protection act and is very illigal. The app asks for way too many permissions for a medical device. After opting out 3 times at set up, the device won't connect unless I agree for the app to collect data each time I hook it up to the Bluetooth. Give us an option not to share any data with you or I will be going to the Ombudsman with this. And while you're at it please make electrodes that are more adhesive than 10 time use. Not to mention they were sold out for 2 months in all major UK stores.

App still crashes nearly continously despite updates. App crashes before device is connected on S4. Clearly cannot run treatments without a connection. My only recommendation wrt this product is avoidance.

Can no longer install the app. Noot supported on the Galaxy S8!!! Is there an alternate app now? What if going on Philips???

Absolutely useless, constantly crashes, doesn’t support Nougat. Philips must have the worst developers and customer care in the world. I purchased 2 units in September last year for upper and lower chronic back pain and have had nothing but problems with the app. The app has issues connecting with the units, crashes during use and more recently increased the intensity during use to maximum so was extremely painful. The last update was back in December last year and as it states here includes Nougat but it doesn't and still no further update 7 months later. I have to carry 2 phones around, an old one with Marshmallow for this app and the other with Nougat for everything else. Don't bother contacting them direct. Their customer service is not interested when you contact them directly and do not have any technical knowledge of their products or Android. If you are unfortunate to purchase one of these machines you will find that you can no longer purchase the replacement electrodes from anywhere. Have now requested a full refund for the 2 units. Philips most definitely qualify for the 3 P's. P*** Poor Performance.

Worked briefly on one of two Android 6 devices, but then failed to connect thereafter. The Bluetouch pad is quite useless without the Bluetooth connection. Good idea but poorly executed. The service desk was completely unhelpful.

All of a sudden it's "incompatible with all of my devices"...

Bug exists where application hangs when stopping a treatment to select a new treatment. Application must be minimised and restored for new treatment to be selected, otherwise the application hangs. Update: the tens unit no longer connects through to the app, via bluetooth, reflecting the experience of others reviewers.

The Philips TENS machine works great but I've found the app to be very tempermental, especially when using two devices. It often 'forgets' one when I access the app to adjust my treatment which then involves having to turn the devices on and off again in the hopes that it will pick them both up. Given that I am using these on my pelvis and lower back for chronic pain I am often unable to easily turn the devices off and on again in the hopes of getting the app to work. Hopefully these issues are fixed soon!

I payed a lot of money for my tens machine and its brilliant. Sadly i have to use this app that hardly ever seems to work. Frequently crashes, during before and after the treatment, causing me to either not be able to turn on my machine or not able to turn it off. Good when it works though. Lots of settings and i like how i can control the strength of impulses.

Installed on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. The app crashed a few times going through it's menus. When starting treatment the device cuts out and then starts again after a short time. During these interruptions Android reports no issues with Bluetooth pairing. Seeing other reviews I'm guessing it's just the app that is still buggy and unstable. This review is based on version 3.1

This really needs to be addressed as it has completely wrecked a very expensive tens machine for me. Experiences as per other reviews.

Used to be quite good, but recently updated and now keeps reporting crashes even when I don't use it. Had to uninstall.
