Hero Lab Character Sheet for Android
Unfortunately this app simply crashes when I try to load any portfolio regardless of the source.
Fails to load portfolio
Updating my review of this app. This app is one of the first things I install on new devices. It's just so dang useful.
The appearance could use an overhaul. The sheets end up looking bare bones and a little cluttered. A little formatting between sections and individual powers would do it some good.
Only loads one character from a portfolio
This is good if you have a Pathfinder character: it displays a stat block with a good layout. However, I bought this and I do not play Pathfinder. I asked the creator if it worked with other games or just Pathfinder, and that I wanted it to work with the Savage Worlds HeroLab files. He responded, "it works with anything supported by herlab (sic)." Lying by omission is still lying, and he omitted that his program is only marginally compatible with Savage Worlds files. I purchased, loaded a character made for Savage World and was presented with a poorly laid out character, nothing more than just text with no real attempt to make it look organized and attractive. Frankly, if you have HeroLab and want to display your Savage World character I suggest just outputting the stat block or a PDF and using that on your phone/tablet. Just be honest about your product, man.
Google Drive button crashes. Dropbox works but after the file is loaded the app just stays on the screen asking for a file to open. Never actually opens the file. Not much use since the app essentially does nothing.
This app is pathfinder only. Completely useless for anything else.
This application is working very well for me. There are 2 problems on Android L. 1) if I start to swap applications, but press the "back" button, I have reload the character portfolio from Google Drive (v510_LMY470.L012) 2) When swapping hero's from the left swim menu, all of the tables update except for the spells tab. This tab remains populated with the 1st hero in the file. I definitely see myself using this during my games over the competitor's app. It's a little convoluted for my taste.

Cohort and familiar/class summons are exactly what I want. This seems to deliver.
Successfully loads 5e files. It's really a shame that this can't be used to edit the files although I bet thats a limitation not in the authors control.
My group just switched to Hero Lab for our characters, and this app will help tremendously. I love that it is game system neutral.
Was working fine until a day or two ago. Tried to use it yesterday because I didn't have a character sheet on me and whenever I selected a .por from the Dropbox option the app closed everytime and I had to restart it. This was both on my Galaxy S4 and Tab 3. I tried to move the file to local storage thinking maybe the update to my Dropbox app was to blame, but regardless of where I saved the files locally the app didn't show it as an available portfolio to open.
Does exactly as expected. useful.
Just what I'd been looking for, keep up the good work!
I made a comment about it only showing a single character, Phillip informed me of the left-swipe menu for hanging characters in the file. Which answered my concerns.
Solid, lightweight, works
Eventually, there will be a herolab app for android. This helps me hold over until this app is released. It allows me to view character sheets as if they were stat blocks, and while it crashes quite a bit when loading (took 4 attempts to load a .por), it's quite stable once it's loaded. I'll be using it regularly until Herolab finishes Android support.
So, this is very handy. I can use this to access all the .por I have for each encounter. However, it would really be nice if you could load new portfolios without it unloading the one you already have up.
Was working fine till a few days ago. Now I can't seem to open portfolios stored on Dropbox.
When I open it it just closes right back up and it reports a problem
I was happy to see this app will load Shadowrun files until I realized it doesn't show skill ranks, just the skills.
Does exactly as expected. useful.
This is fantastic. If I don't have my tablet or laptop, I can still access my characters. Just can't change setting or toggle abilities.
Happy to support the development of this product with a donation/contribution. Happy to install and use a paid version. Let me know. Love your work. PS - If there is some way to get it to automagically sync with Google Drive (first preference) then any other cloud file system, that would be super ace.
Its a start, but its just a file reader still better to save a pfd of your character on your phone/tablet
I actually found this while trawling the herolab forums. This makes life so much easier then having my laptop on me when ever I need to sit down and play.
Great start to the app. Nice to see the updates coming so fast. Feat and item desciptions would be nice as well.
Just what I'd been looking for, keep up the good work!
This is been needed for quite a while. I love this program.
Easy to use, well laid out, even on a phone.
Don't spect everything right now as everyone is saying it's a good start. I like the cheap shot at Lone Wolf, but this is truly amazing. I hope there are more updates coming.
A good start, views well on my phone. Pulling from local files (or dropbox) rather than Google Drive is a must have addition though, as our whole group shares portfolios via dropbox and not google drive.
Handy to be able to pull open files during game sessions. Thanks.
There's nothing we can compare this to unless you have the I pad. Does as stated. I have a bit of problem of exiting the file without exiting the program, but I love it any ways. Great job!!
This program does exactly what it states it will do. I use it on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and it works flawlessly. I haven't battle tested it yet, and as soon as I do I will edit this review to give a better break down of the specifics.

8It is ok for prototype but really has quite a few bugs and shortcomings. First load from any source leads to a crash. Way to navigate between characters is concealed and only by reading reviews i have found it. No info on spells or items. No way to track usage of ammunition and spells. Printed character sheet is much more useful, so 2* for now.
