Bixby Button Remapper

App works as advertised. I found out that if I close ALL widgets, or tabs, or whatever the bixby modules are called the app works much better. Everytime you press the bixby button (for flashlight) the bixby card slides out then slides back in a half second later. If you cancel all widgets ahead of time this app works smoothly and quickly.

Doesn't work all the time... It usually works once if I reboot my S8+, but not again after. Not sure if it's the app not working or if it's Bixby not working. Edit: I found that a double click is much more reliable.

Works great! Use it for flashlight. Was wondering if there will be an update to include a double click feature and use bixby button for several uses that way? Would definitely donate with that feature!

The new update made it to where you can't have a secure startup anymore. Goodbye app. Actually before this update my phone still had a secure startup and your app worked as it said. Now it doesn't. Not sure what you changed but it's not good to take away a security feature.

The no delay feature is pretty solid and it works fairly well. Shout out for the options and versatility of the app

Does exactly what it says. If anyone wants to get rid of bixby popping up when using this app, download package disabled pro. (It's only $1 and it is worth it) disable all bixby related functions. And then this app will not have any delay when pressing the button and will not show bixby. Great work dev. And most of all, I like that you released this really quickly after the release of the s8 and s8+. Thank you!

It does what it says although the Bixby screen does pop up for a bit. My concern is that it seems to somehow bypass the lock screen and make Google Assistant work with the screen locked. I asked it to read my texts and it did. Not sure if that's a mistake for a feature.

Perfect! Exactly what was needed. Even works for those who already received Samsung's "fix" for exposing the button code to accessibility services. It kills Bixby off faster than any of the other apps and launches Google Assistant in the proper voice mode! Now you can launch WHATEVER app you want...because #FuckBixby, that's why!

Worked great at first, I really enjoyed it. After I rebooted my phone it no longer works... Nor does the Bixby button now (after I disabled it in the app)... Not sure what's going on. Will try uninstalling then reinstalling​... So tried that & still no change... Tried a second time and it's working again. Will raise the rating if it continues to work. So it's been a couple days and it's still working, so I've since raised​ my review back to 5 stars. Got a reply from the developer which I really appreciate explaining what's going on. Sometimes I have to hit the Bixby button twice other times just once but whenever Bixby comes up, right after Google now comes up. Thanks for the app and responsiveness.

As of April 28th after the button was supposedly unremovable I found out with this app that I can assign specific functions but you have to click the button twice if you only click it once nothing comes up so another words bigsby's on activated. And sometimes when you click the button twice big people try to come up and then it goes away and then whatever you assigned it to it does

It is an amazing app. When I heard that Samsung was going release a new assistant, I thought that it was a great idea. However the way that it was created was stupid. I think it was stupid to dedicate this button to a bad assistant. Anyways, when I saw this app I thought, I'm not the only one who thinks this. I currently have the button toggle vibrate/ sound mode on the phone (it works like the switch that are on iphones). There is a slight problem though. When you push the button, it opens bixby for a couple of seconds, but it automatically closes. It's not perfect, but for the price (free), I can't complain.

Changed my review to a lower rating. Button doesn't work a lot of the times and even when it does and brings up the Google assistant it's like Google is frozen until you hit the button twice more.

Does what it says it does... even the beta for launching google assistant functions pretty well... the lag between launching Bixby and switching apps is rather annoying, but it still is far better than Bixby by itself. Generally works after 1 button press

Delayed map response time. Not stopping the button input from opening bixby. Instead bixby opens, closes, then the mapped app opens. It's good and all for getting past the piece of crap app.

Slight delay compared to bxActions. Had s8 for a week and never used bixby. Only alway accidentally open it during full screen game. Very annoying.

Does as described. Bixby opens tjen closes in half a second. At least provides a work around for the incomplete bixby...

Great but I wish it was faster. I guess there's only so much the developer can do given the situation.

This didn't work on any setting in the app and now the button does nothing. I even uninstalled it and the button still doesn't work.

Working well just try to reduce the delay and that's about it. Good job and thank you!

This works but aside from using it as camera start button, can it also be mapoed as CAMERA SHUTTER CAPTURE BUTTON like a real camera? Please add that as a feature. Thanks.

Works as advertised, you can still see Bixby pop-up but it immediately closes. Set mine up for the flashlight, so fat so good.

It works sometimes but it's not very streamlined. when I press my Bixby button the Bixby screen shows up then gets taken over by Google now (what I removed it to). sometimes it when I press the button it will do nothing. I'll probably try another version of the same feature.

The half baked and otherwise unnecessary Bixby and it's corresponding button were the only things I do not like about the S8. Thanks for fixing one of these issues.

Works but not as intended. I remapped to flashlight, it turns it on but bixby also opens. Good work dev, i would pay for the app if you made it a step smarter and actually reversed whatever we assigned it to. Like turn on and off flashlight

Best app EVER! Thanks Phacinate. You think in a future version, you could make the Bixby button do a screen capture when the screen is lit and nothing when it's not? That would be AWESOME!!!

It's a little flaky, but does work with a little tinkering

The app works for all of 5 minutes then blasted Bixby is back.

Maybe add a power button to make it in case you broke yours

If only the button would work on a locked screen! Oh wait, it does if you setup bixby, just takes a split second longer. It works!!!

Does exactly what it's supposed too and it does it well while being very lite. Thankyou so much for making the bixby button useful!
