PHAROS (Planing Hull Analysis Ranking & Ordering System)

PHAROS is an early stage design, analysis and characterization tool for prismatic planing boat hulls in the Savitsky style.

Hull Resistance, equilibrium trim angle, mean wetted length and apparent beam are reported. Also computed are thrust and power at the propulsor - making engine and drive train sizing easier and more direct. (No more EHP/OPC estimations!)

Program parameters are entered on the main screen. For a quick start, the default model can be recalled by pressing the "Current Model" refresh button, then press "Compute" followed by "Report" or "Plot". Model values can be saved in a calculator style memory by pressing "MS" and recalled using "MR". Calculator memory is persistent between sessions.
