2) You can also use the missed call facility, though once again your have to register to get your balance online.
3) You can also send an SMS and receive your provident fund balance. However, how many of these actually work is the big question.
4) In case you cannot check your epf through UAN, you can use the toll free number as well. One is not sure whether they will give you the balance through the telephone.
EPFO offers SMS service to help employees know their PF balance and contribution details. Users need to send an SMS at number to avail this service. However, this service is made available for employees who have activated their UAN. The content of the SMS is EPFOHO UAN, followed by the first three letters of the preferred language. For example, if the subscriber wishes to receive the message in English, he or she needs to send EPFOHO UAN ENG to a number. This facility is available in different Indian languages.Under Missed call service, subscribers can give a missed call at a number provided by EPFO to know the balance. This service is available for free to any UAN-activated subscriber.
