About TimeLapse Calculator

Time Lapse Calculator (NOT CAMERA APP!). The missing tool for time lapse photographers, who already have their camera & tripod and just need to calculate parameters of a time-lapse video. TimeLapse Helper is the most flexible time lapse calculator on Google Play. It helps you to choose appropriate parameters for your time-lapse video. It also allows running countdown timer.

Input any parameters which you know (or want to achieve) and the app will calculate all other parameters.

App works with these parameters:
- Shooting interval,
- Shooting length,
- Shots count,
- Result Clip Frame Rate,
- Result Clip Length,
- Photo Size
- Total Size

The app is currently ad-supported, but it's possible to remove ads via in-app payments (see "Remove Ads" in the app menu).

This app was tested only on several devices. Please give a feedback to a developer if something doesn't work as expected.

Note that this app is currently not optimized for tablets, but should work fine :).

If you like this app, please rate it! Any suggestions how to make the app better or having some issues? Contact me.

All in all a great app. Just a couple suggestions, the shoot length should have an hours and minutes section. Most time lapse shots happen over several hours if not days and having to figure out how many minutes are in ,lets say, 3 weeks for a plant growing, its kind of a pain. Same with the output time of video. It shound have minutes and seconds, not just seconds.

Great app, just one thought: would it be possible to set photo size and total size to calculate max photos, intervall, ect? Thanks for the great app anyways

Great tool to calculate any time lapse!

Awesome app. Handy. One suggestion is to rename the Interval label to Shots Interval. This will be more clear and will be more consistent with the label Shots Count under it.

handy for good info

The app does exactly what I want, nothing fancy, just the numbers that let me know how long I need to shoot at my given frame rate, this also allows me to calculate the movement rate for my pan unit.

I used it about an year. It helps me many times. But I like to hear a sound when countdown finished. Vibration is easy to miss when shooting long timelapses.

Great app that allows me to quickly calculate how long I need to shoot my timelapse for, in order to reach a set clip duration.

Didn't work or connect with camera

Works perfectly, super simple. No useless bells and whistles to keep it smooth and reliable instead of complicated and finicky. However, it could use a timer that counts up instead of just down, saying how many pictures have been taken and how long the video will be. I find myself inputting new numbers every time I want to know how my long term time lapses are doing, and I feel this would pretty easy to add.

I've used this on several timelapse shoots. I've used others, but prefer this one the most because it's ready to use, simple, doesn't crash, and it calculates total storage size of your photos. You do need to have an approximate size of each photo. I usually just take 1 test shot to figure this out. It does have ads at the bottom of the page, but they are unobtrusive all things considered. I paid the $1.99 charge to have the ads removed and help support developer.

Input what you know, the app calculates the rest - Exactly what I was looking for! Could have made a little spreadsheet now that MS Excel for Android exists, but this is so much easier to use! BTW, works great on Moto G 3rd gen.

Does what it says. Really helpful!

If Timelapse Calculator (Helper), doesn't take photos, and is just a calculator, what is the point? I thought you were kidding about that. I wasted 12 hrs watching this app count down for nothing. I fail to see the point. If a digital cam can do timelapse how does this calculator help with that. Why does this calculator count down. It even shows 0/2000 shots taken. Timelapse, Timewaste more like it. Great Screen Saver!

Just what I was looking for. Clear and simple, well though. When you want to put number using keyboard and not the +- buttons - numerical keypad pops up, a thing that is forgotten by so many developers. Thumbs up ;-)

Downloaded this app just before I was about to rip my hair off out on a 4 day timelapse shoot at a port. This app literally saved my ass every day since i have been using it and it offers practically any calculation you need to do any kind of timelapse, including storage requirements. It even has a countdown timer! Super cool.

Does what it is supposed to do. It works on my Samsung tablet fine. Thanks. Would have given 5 stars if it had larger font for the older folk. What the heck here is an extra star.

Does the job. Its helping me with my Gopro doing a time lapse only thing is I wish u could change the file sizes from mb to GB but that's not a big deal. Also trying to stop the timer I had to force close the app.

Would be nice to be able to change units, e.g. MB to GB and sec to min or hours. Great app. Saved me making an excel spreadsheet.
