Personal Capital Budgeting and Investing

I was going to give it 4-5 stars however I had a serious issue with an inability to take screenshots to send my wife of our financial standings. We just hit a financial milestone and wanted to share and it wouldn't let me. Very frustrating to be restricted and unable to change the setting.

Very good app, one of the best. Sometimes bank/investment accts get disconnected and need updating. Before it would log in easily with PIN or fingerprint but about 3 weeks ago it needed email verif , then captcha verif then fingerprint. Very annoying.

Lord! They called me for a free consultation, which I said yes to and scheduled a week out. I was called and emailed 10 times to remind and confirm, ended up never taking the meeting because they pestered me.

Great app! It's so much better for tracking than the way I was doing it with YNAB. It would be perfect if the app included Upcoming Bills for Linked Accounts like the way it does on the desktop site. I'd give it an instant 5-stars if it included that!

I signed up with a friend's link, that promised I would receive $20 once u linked a qualifying investment account. I linked my fidelity account and still have received nothing...

I like the app, but got an unsolicited phone call from the company after installing the app. I dont recall giving permission to call my phone. Edit: changed to one star. Install this app and you'll get food called. Had to tell them to put me on do not call list. YOUVE HERN WARNED. AVOID.

Started to ask for email submission and image captcha every time I log in for the past 2 weeks. The additional steps defeat the whole purpose of using pin number for quick access.

Overall one of the best apps to link and view all my investment accounts from multiple brokers. Only think I would like is a better way to customize the "Holdings" view. On my Galaxy S7, the share price of my fund is cutoff. It would be nice to have a watch list type of view where I can see more pertinent data for each ticker I own.

App crashes when trying to enter 4 digit verification code. Can't switch from text app to PC app.

Requires a 4 digit code to get started. I've waited and waited for the code. Tried text and email, it never came through. I tried through the app and online, never came through.

Just started using, Quicken wasn't getting all my accounts. This does.

The app in itself is pretty good although periodically there are issues with certain accounts and they will not sync. But the worst part is their support which is probably the most unresponsive team I have ever encountered. 2 of my accounts have not been refreshing since a month and these guys refuse to acknowledge my emails even. Guys, building an app is the first step, please also respect your users and pay attention to the issues they face on your app.

I like the app. It's very comprehensive. The only thing I'd like to see address is a widget with account balances. I'm not that deep into investing that I need my holdings or market indexes displayed. I would rather see my financial life at a glance like Mint.

Loved the app until it started getting bugyy a week ago. Now it it doesn't log me in. Keeps sending me to image captcha and email submission. When it does log in, it kicks out again quckly.

Continually reports incorrect balances, fees and doesn't recognize many investments. Not worth the trouble to link accounts!!

2FA settings can disrupt fingerprint login. I misunderstood this feature initially.

The app is great, but I wish there was a widget for my budget. That is the reason I use the app and would like it front and center on my home-screen.

Great app. Does exactly what I need.

I used to love this app but now, several accounts stopped updating. Pending transactions duplicate every time the app opens and stay there until they clear, and one of my accounts shows a negative $133,000 balance (roughly) when it is actually $0. Also, a company changed websites over a year ago but it wasn't changed by Personal Capital so my accounts won't sync at all anymore for that company. I wrote to customer support several times and receive no response. *Update* - still no response after two requests and several WEEKS of waiting. Deleted app and account.

Latest update was a step backwards. Can no longer scroll to the bottom of accounts so can't see a graph for credit cards or student loans. Also formatting seems off as the net worth amount is not showing at the top anymore but it still says net worth.

Not as intuitive as Mint, in my opinion. Still, it's useful for aggregating your financial situation in one place. Be warned: a salesperson will be calling; PC wants to manage your portfolio for a fee.

I like both the app and website. App is quite useful and mirrors most of the functionality of the website. There needs to be an explanation somewhere that 2 step verification disables fingerprint login.

Keeps wanting to update play store when play store is up to date. Can even open app.

Appears to have stopped updating. Not only does it pause weirdly when I enter my pin now, but I get no indication anything is updating. I made a change to a manual investment on the website, logged in a few hours later on the app and sure enough nothing has changed. App appears broken.

I badly want the analytics this app provides. I've gotten everything set up but I have been running into various authentication and app launching issues since download - Samsung Note 8

Used to be 5 star. Currently having unresolved issues linking into some brokerage firms. Hoping for a fix.

I reported an issue here and was told, fairly instantly, to email support. I emailed support on September 18 and still have not received a reply. Is nearly two months an acceptable timeframe?

doesnt work well with credit unions for syncing accounts. Android app has no option to tell it sync on demand. bank caption codes are unreadable in desktop version.

Great app. Unfortunately the app stops working whenever I add a widget to my home screen. Will there be a fix for that soon.

The Graphics are terrible. I can't get my net worth to show properly in one area.

Great app overall. When I upgraded to the Pixel 2 the stock widget stopped working though :/
