About PEEC
The Public Education Evaluation Commission (PEEC) was founded in 2013, pursuant to the resolution of the Council of Ministers, number 120 in 22/ 4/ 1434 AH, which specified its structure and tasks. The resolution stipulates that the Commission be a public organization with an independent corporate personality and that it will be responsible for the evaluation of private and public schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the resolution, the PEEC will report directly to the Prime Minister until the Higher Council of Education starts performing its tasks, and will be run by the Governor of the Commission as head of the Board of Directors who are selected from all educational bodies and authorities, including specialists and representatives of the private sector.
The PEEC represented by its Board of Directors, shares positive institutional interaction with both public and private educational bodies, and is responsible for issuing rules, regulations, licenses, and standards necessary for the evaluation processes in all different stages within the framework of its statute and other relevant regulations.
