About Pebble Runner

Pebble Runner brings the features of a running GPS watch to your Pebble smart watch. It utilizes your Android's GPS to record runs and provide multiple screens of running data on your Pebble as well as the ability to start, stop, create laps, and reset the run from your wrist. A few of the fields that Pebble Runner can display are: elapsed time, distance, lap pace, and altitude.

Each of the sections of data displayed on the Android app are available as pages of data on your Pebble watch. You can configure which data is on each of the available pages.

Additional Features:
- Auto-Lap
- View previous activities on a map (with lap splits)
- Export TCX files (for upload to Garmin connect or other services)

WATCH APP: In order to use this app with the Pebble watch, you will need to download the Pebble Runner watch app from within the Pebble app itself. This requires a recent version of the Pebble android app.

FREE VERSION: The free version of Pebble Runner has full functionality with the exception of a 30-minute limit per recorded activity. You can remove this restriction with an in-app purchase.

ASCENT/DESCENT: Some users have expressed that the ascent/descent calculations are very high. This is a known issue that is being worked on

BUTTONS: The Pebble watchapp buttons are configured as follows:
Top Button: Start / Stop
Middle Button: Lap / Hold to reset
Bottom Button: Next screen

Paid for full app, and there is no response. The app states that timer has started, but timer does not move. How can I get a refund please? In reply to the below, I tried the 30 Day free trial, and that was fine, but the paid version did not work. Will never try or buy any apps from this developer again.

Joe Goldberg how did you get the watch to work with no phone? All my watch says is "connecting..." and nothing happens. I want to use without the phone but can't.

Did have initial problems but deleted original app from watch and phone - reinstalled after a reboot of both, app now works as expected, much better

While I mostly ride bikes and am well covered for GPS etc. for that sport, I have nothing other than phone apps for running. It is nice to see an app that allows the watch to be used so that you don't have to pull out the phone to check stats while running. Configuration is easy, very clean interface. GPS elevation can be tricky, which is why most dedicated devices seem to use barometric sensors for this. Since the Pebble and phones do not have this, altitude will be less accurate than those devices, but it is nice to have it anyway.

The timer won't start counting until you get a GPS lock (developer says this is a known issue), but from that point on it gets the job done with a simple interface that shows you the data you're interested in.

Finally I can leave the phone at home when I go running. This app lets me jog with just my pebble, and I get all the running-tracking features I need.
