Personal Fitness Coach for Android
I love this application! It's really interactive, it helps you achieve your goals more easily! Real couching, lots of different workouts you can choose and much more Thanks to Pear team, good jobb & keep it up
Pear is great for helping you reach your running and fitness goals without over training or doing the same boring runs our cycles every time. I've been running for years and I'm finding the app invaluable!
Somehow the app was both installed and not installed. Workout tracking wouldn't see my gps on either my phone or watch. Tried just using shealth instead, and the integration seems pretty weak (only recognizes steps).
Best app for running. Especially working with heart rate zones.
I think this App has great potential. There is a lot of training content. I Just updated and now cant find the calibration workout which sets the heart rate zones. The cost of the App is $5.99 /month after trial period. What really bothers me is that it has to be auto renewal. I could not find how to terminate contract on the App which just insures youll be paying for it for a long time after you dont want it. PERSONALLY I NEVER buy anything with auto renewal. I would, however, buy the App or individual workouts outright.
This app freezes crashes and it pisses me off because im training for my second ultra. It literally took me 10 minutes on top of uninstalling the app to get it to work. Whatever bug fixes were made... You guys missed one! Great workouts... Too many technical issues.
The original heart rate strap that you can get for the app is worthless. A Wahoo Ticker heart rate monitor strap works perfectly with this app. Doesn't auto-pause when running. I wish it did. I can be standing at lights for 5 minutes over a 30 minute period. Pausing and starting the app multiple times is annoying. The app ends if I use my camera. I have a monthly subscription and every month it tells me I do not have a paid subscription, despite the fact I'm paid up. It takes 1 to 3 days for support to fix. Wish it had a bike training program like it does for half and full marathons. It has individual workouts, but not a program that creates a calendar of workouts.
Since I upgraded to a Samsung S8, the app closes down without warning within 1-3 minutes of starting a workout. I've adjusted multiple settings on my phone to try to fix it, but nothing has worked. Pear is the only app that I have this problem with.
Gear s2 works with tracking but can't get it to connect for any other workout.
Adidas MiCoach
Save your money, I purchased the Ragnar training and unless you follow their schedule your screwed. If you miss a day you can't go back and make it up or do it on your own schedule. Do these developers not get that people have lives, things come up and things change..very very disappointed
When I first received my S7 and gear this was perfect, however over time they have went downhill. I could not save my workouts, app would start randomly and wouldn't close, and I couldn't even scroll down to see other info. Reached out several times and was told I need to uninstall and reinstall. I did and the exact thing happens. Waste of money for months. Looking for a better workout app.
Inconsistant HR. Can't connect any HR other than Gear 2. Used Endomondo for years and never had HR issues.
The app auto starts on my S7. I can be watching a film and Pear starts. I unlock my phone, and pear sometimes starts. Very frustrating.
I've been using the app for over 3 weeks. It's paired with a Galaxy A5 & a Gear S3. I use individual workouts and training programs. Let's start with the good: - The concept and general value proposition are great. It helps to stay motivated while doing meaningful training. It takes out the guessing of training, highly appreciated specially for early 6 am trainers like me - Lots of choice - Personalized HR zones and VO2 max are great tools for tracking your fitness Now, the bad, what should be working but it's not: - App launches by itself both in the phone and watch - Poor GPS tracking: looses signal even with no obstacles above; records the path (you see it on the map) but fails to register the distance at the end of the workout; pace readings are always inaccurate, either too fast, slow or it gets stuck on a value despite noticeable changes in speed - Weak connection between the app and the Gear S3 HR monitor - Finishes some workouts randomly - Decalage between audio and moment of the workout (especially during fast paced interval training) Please fix all this these bugs. The concept is great but it's poorly executed. I'll update the review when you fix it.
Pops up on my Samsung s7 phone & gear s3 watch all the damn time, no setting to stop it
I couldn't ask for a better workout app. I love that it helps change things up in the gym and bases it off my heart rate giving me a more accurate calories burned. It has such a variety of workouts. I also love that the voice isn't talking constantly and I can pair it with a good Playlist. This app has truly helped keep me motivated on a treadmill for more than 5 minutes. Highly recommend
Disappointed for 1 reason . It's a samsung app that is not compatible with some samsung accessories like the "the gear fit" unlike an s2 it's a fitness watch .why not have compatible for a fitness app. Smh other than the it's pretty decent and a good amount of work out that can keep you entertained
Initially good exercise app with the polar h7 (galaxy s5) but after one week of workouts the connectivity reading the heart rate significantly reduced. Bug? After a reinstall i got a fix (still testing). HR zones and vo2 did not sync. Also fix: 1. All music players stop playing when the workout begins and is full screen. 2. Indoor activities aren't calculating the vo2 Max even after i manually enter distance. 3. Add voice notification on event of zone change. Otherwise love it and would easily subscribe.
It starts whenever I unlock my phone! Really annoying!
Y does it work with gear fit2
I gave up on this application yesterday. Too frustrating spending time restarting the phone and app when I should be exercising. This is a great app when it works but it failed me one too many times. I moved on to Workout Trainer.
Was looking forward to using the app to determine my HR zones. Couldn't get my HR monitor to pair....it is ANT+ and app says you need a Bluetooth HR monitor. SO disappointed.
Was ready to do my workout and tried downloading the app to my gear s2 and it said the product was no longer in the Samsung app store.
It took a while to pair w/ the HRM (1+ min) and tracks well with motivational quotes. However I was expecting to make my own workouts since I don't us it for jogging or lifting. The UI is neat and full of features, almost too many.
For whatever reason this app would NOT work on my S7 phone. The only thing it let me do was pay for a subscription, which I cancelled soon after since the app continued to not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times in hopes it would work.
Tell me how to fix this!!!!!! Flickers on and off Why cant it just stay on? I can never get it started. Flickers on and off. 2 stars coz I know the working version is awesome. This update is horrible!
Has some nice features but I just ran 5K in "tracking" mode and now I can't see it or share it to Runkeeper/Strava. A fitness app of today can't expect to survive without these absolute basics in place.
This app lost two work outs on my gear s3.
Can't sync with gear s3 :(
Pear personal fitness training. It is for me Ayokas2003.thanks
This is by far the most realistic coaching app
I love the coaching and workout plans, but it crashes at some point in almost workout. If the stability can be improved, I would easily rate it 5 stars.
This app is great. Unfortunately after the last update it started to crash at workout launch and also during some workouts (when I'm able to start them, that is). Before last update it was working glitch free. I have a brand new Samsung S7 edge. Luckily I didn't subscribe right away. Please fix these regressions.
Decent training app. Would like to see an online option, and triathlon training programs. I like the heart rate based training program with coach feedback. I don't recommend the Pear heart rate monitor or earphones. The heart rate monitor worked 1 of 10 times. The earphones quickly developed a short. I bought a Wahoo Kickr and it works great with the Pear app.
I really love this app! I think it's great that it provides you real-time guidance and coaching as you work out. There seem to be a few Kinks between the Samsung Gear S2 in the app, but I still love it.

Great technology. Tons of sessions and programs. Keeps me interested and seems more personal. It has me excited and motivated to exercise, which is a feat - and I get to enjoy the outdoors! -if I want* Feeling better and stronger every day. I started with some beginning sessions the past two weeks, and now I'm starting the Zero to Run today! The company is going through some changes though and is catching up on their customer service and technical support. Will revise when this is up to par.
