Peapod for Android
Have been pretty happy with the latest update. For the past couple of weeks though, I'm getting error messages any time i open the app. Peapod has shut down, network change, and now SSL certificate errors. Please fix! Thk u!
Why the low rating? The app is great, easy to use, easy to sync with web account. The service is great, delivery or pick up, I love those people. The actual quality of what you get? I've been a once a week Peapod person for pretty much a year now due to limited mobility, and actual quality of the product you get is horrible lately. Missing items, items you get ON delivery or pickup day that are on sell-by date, and obvious stuff that has been sitting around and not as fresh as long expected (used Peapod for 20 years). Don't think we aren't noticing. You were the first to the game and I've stuck with you, but there are other players around now.
Massive price increase. Your "buy more and save" feature sucks. Bread I used to buy for $.99 is now $1.19. Cookies that were $.89 now $1.29. Not enough items are really going on special any more. Case in point: meat. Buy one at full price. Buy 2, get 10% off. Buy 3, get 15%. Buy 4, get 20%. And so forth. Shove it up your ass. I'm a single guy and my grocery budget is about $100 every 2 weeks. I'm not buying 6 steaks to get 25% off. Logging off and uninstalling. Bye, Felicia.
The app works fine, the only reason it is getting that 2 star. The service has gotten progressively worse in the last 2 years and more costly. This past order will be my last. It started off fine. Orders on time. Always accurate. The last few months I have had a spike of items I didn't order added and things I did order not there. Not as substitutions. Just completely swapped around. There is also the fact that I just ordered a loaf of bread "on sale" for $2.14... it was delivered with a nice bright orange sticker saying it was $1.00 ... Guess which price I paid. The 100% marked up price. They really let this service go. I'll be switching to one of the many alternatives in my area. Update: Today is definitely my last order with them. Today is 2/21. They delivered food past the sell by date. The other half expires by the 22nd. And of course another item was missing from my delivery. Never again. There are more than enough alternatives in my city.
Great service. Easy to navigate "aisles" and great weekly specials. They also have meal kits which provide you with everything you need to prepare for the dinner. Friendly delivery drivers, too.
Awesome app! Food shopping from the couch and I don't have to go to the store, can't beat it.
Some of my items was missing my bread chips and cereal was stored under my can goods sothey came smashed
The app works great! It is set up to look and work just like the web site.
Doesn't work. Tells me the version I downloaded is no longer supported, get the new version. I click the link and it brings me here to what I downloaded. ???? UPDATE now it works, but make sure you turn off auto rotate. Once the app rotates, for me, it goes to a loading screen then tells me i have the wrong version to download the latest, or it will freeze and need to closed. If i dont rotate, app works fine
I used the previous version of this app on my tablet and it was very convenient. However, this update has made the app incompatible with my tablet. The app will not open. I do not have the option of using the old version so now I can not use the Peapod app at all. Note that the description says the app was redesigned for iPhone and iPad users. Apparently Peapod wants only Apple users as customers.
I love Peapod. My order is always on time and I've had six/seven am deliveries. I have noticed that everything depends on who is packing and/or delivering your box. I've had some less than desirable produce picked for me. I mean badly bruised apples, a couple of bananas that were split and some bruise tomatoes but I know that's because of who packed my order. Other than that I've never had a problem.
The ads slow down the app.. it stutters on every scroll while loading an ad. Its frustrating and making me order more frequently from others! Now the app freezes up every time it loads... Peapod.. do you listen? Read the reviews and fix this junky app. Went from 5 stars to 1. Run some stats.. bet your frequency of app ordering/downloads lower now since you broke the app. Are the paid ads so overwhelmingly profitable that you don't care if people are no longer able to order from the app?
App keeps telling me I'm not connected to the internet when I am. I've tried rebooting which only fixes the problem for a minute before the error message occurs again. Used to love the app. Not anymore. Useless.
This app & the peapod service generally works great in NW wash.dc. on a Galaxy S3 phone in Jan. 2016. Downloaded app for the first time this Jan. in 2016. I used to use computer version but quit using it as I did not want to spend more time in front of a computer. This app works great on my not-so-new smartphone. Service has been a lifesaver while experiencing health issues. I love Peapod. Hope it spreads to more locations for my relatives... More useful than uber in my life! Well done.

The new update was working perfectly for months. Now when I try to launch from my phone it says I need to install the update from the playstore. Then when I go there it says the app is already installed and updated so now I can't use it! Someone please fix! I love peapod service and still want to use this convenient app!
Thanks for finally getting off your asses and fixing your app. After I don't know how many bug reports and emails to tech support. Unfortunately I've grown quite fond of Safeway and Amazon deliveries so maybe be a little quicker next time.
Clicking on cart is very touchy, sometimes it won't show the cart, other times it only shows your "current savings". Worse, can't pull up my saved list anymore - huge time saver is now gone. Big step back from the previous release - should roll this version back until bugs are fixed and functionality matches old version
For some reason it keeps crashing, but only opens if I have data on, not wifi. It'd be nice if it worked because I can't drive until my stitches heal and no laptop. I kind of need groceries for my family. If they fix it is change to 5 stars.
The app could be a little better, but my 5 stars are for the service. I had major lung surgery and had limited mobility. Thank god for this service. I used the app to put my order in, select my deliver date and time, that's it. Everything was fresh and the bread wasn't smoshed. I don't think I'll ever go to the supermarket again. Please don't forget to tip the delivery person.
Peapod is LITERALLY one of the best things I've ever discovered! I have trouble with stairs and living on the second floor makes grocery shopping a NIGHTMARE! TRY THIS SERVICE, YOU'LL LOVE IT TOO! I would recommend peapod but not this new app! I have to sign in twice to get to my account which is a waste of time. Bring back the old app or at least try to fix this one! Also online chat service would be a plus especially while using this service at work to keep nosy people out my business!
I got a message saying that my version of the app was no longer supported. Went to play store and upgraded. Everything as broken as others are reporting. I uninstalled the app and then downloaded it fresh. All was well. Apparently the upgrade process was not well tested!
I don't know what you changed but the app no longer will open. I am uninstalling. Update 5/22/2016. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times during the last several months. Still keeps saying the app stopped working. Like others I would prefer to use mobile devices than going on a computer. Can no longer do that!
Keeps crashing. I log in, add an item to my cart, and it makes me have to turn off the tablet before it will close. Extremely disappointed. With the shipping charge in NYC (where many stores offer free delivery), I will be deleting the app. I cant shop in the store right now due to an accident.
Used to love this app, but the new version keeps freezing while ads load in the middle of my list. And when the 15 min countdown clock starts it completely freezes- idiotic have to switch to the computer
Does not work. Every 5 seconds a connection error message pops up. After reading the reviews, I see its not just me. Wonder if they plan on ever fixing it.
App crashes and I have things in my cart that I cannot remove. I used the app all the time before this update but won't be using it anymore. Especially because I cannot remove unwanted items from my cart.
I had an delivery scheduled for tonight for a dinner I'm cooking for tomorrow and they just sent me an email saying they had a "mechanical failure" and my order is now cancelled. I for one am not interested in the mechanics of your operation Peapod, I just want my food and a service that will find a way to make good on its commitments.... sigh ....
I have had this app for over a year and have not had trouble until now. If I accidentally touch an ad, it tells me that it's no longer supported and to install the update. There is no update..I have to uninstall and reinstall every time. It has just happened 3 times in a few minutes. While scrolling it's easy to touch an ad by mistake. So frustrating!!
I like being able to shop online BUT the app constantly says I am not connected to the Internet when I am connected. It gets SO frustrating when you want to place an order but can't get by the constant message saying you need to connect first. Please fix!
Congratulations Peapod on having the worst update in the world! There was nothing wrong with the other version but now with the update it does NOT work at all! What's the sense of an update if it doesn't work?
I can't place my order due to a problem with this app. The peapod loading screen is freezing or I get a plain white screen that's frozen. And if that's not enough once I get the app to load the home screen freezes.
Everything was great until I was forced to "update" the app. Now it doesn't work at all. Says sorry try again later or it tells me I need to update the app but have already done so. Very disappointed. Hope it's fixed ASAP!

I was having trouble with the app, too? So, I just uninstalled and reinstalled it. It works just fine again and still has my current order and all my previous purchases, too!
I've had this app for years and never had a problem. Today I was forced to update the app and now it doesn't work at all. Horrible update and a waste of my time.
App keeps saying I'm not connected to internet but I am. Order was to be delivered today 7/7/15 and no show, order is promised to be there tomorrow, have to wait and see

The app has been so glitchy. I have to close it and open serveral times even after the update. Also, the other day I received $80 of food that wasn't mine. Some was good so I didn't mind but was missing all my frozen food. The pricing is going up. I want to be loyal but shop rite is opening soon by me and I may just switch. They offer more variety and cheaper prices.
