المعجزة أمرٌ خارقٌ للعادةِ يظهرُ على يدِ مدَّعي النبوةِ سالمٌ من المعارضةِ بالمثلِ، فليس صنعُ الطيرانِ من قبيلِ المعجزاتِ لأن المعجزاتِ هي خاصةٌ بمن أَوحى اللهُ إليهم وجعلهم أنبياء مصطفَينَ أخياراً، فالمعجزة أمر خارق للعادةِ تظهرُ على يدِ من ادَّعى النبوة، ولذلكَ لمَّا طلبَ قومُ صالحٍ من نبيِّ اللهِ صالح معجزةً أيدَهُ اللهُ بالمعجزةِ فأخرجَ لهُ من الصخرةِ الصَّمَّاءِ ناقةً وفصيلَها، فآمنَ من هدى اللهُ قلبَه وعاند وتكبرَ عن الإيمانِ من علِم اللهُ بعلمِه الأزليِّ أنه لن يُؤمن. وكذلك عيسى ابنُ مريمَ عليه الصلاة والسلام جاءَ بدينِ الإسلامِ الذي يدعو إلى وحدانيةِ اللهِ أيَّدَهُ اللهُ بالمعجزاتِ وكان قد اشتهرَ قومُه بالطبِّ ومع ذلك عجَزُوا عن أن يعارضوا عيسى ابنَ مريمَ عليه الصلاة والسلام إذ أيَّدَهُ اللهُ بمعجزةِ إحياءِ الموتى وإبراءِ الأكمه والأبرصِ بإذنِ الله وهم اشتهروا بالطبِّ فلم يستطيعوا أن يأتوا بمثلِ ما أتى به ولم يستطيعوا أن يُحيوا ميتًا ولا أن يشفوا أبرَصَ أو أكمه بمجرد وضعِ اليدِ عليهِ أو بمجرَّدِ مسحِ عينيهِ لأنَّ هذه الأمورَ خارقةٌ للعاداتِ لا تظهَرُ إلا على يدِ الأنبياءِ، لو اجتمعَ الكفارُ قاطبةً على أن يأتوا بمثلِ معجزة من معجزاتِ أي نبيٍ من أنبياءِ اللهِ لما أتَوا بها ولا بمثلِها أبداً. فلما كانَ للأنبياءِ علينا ميزات أنَّ لهم معجزاتٍ إذًا صارَ واجبًا على كلِّ من بلغتهُ دعوةُ النبيِّ أن يصدِّقَ بهذا النبيِّ لأنهُ بيدِه البرهانُ والدليلُ على أنه صادقٌ وليس مشعوذًا ولا صاحبَ خُرافاتٍ ولا صاحبَ شعوذاتٍ. فأنبياءُ اللهِ تبارك وتعالى نزَّهَهم اللهُ تعالى عن الرذائلِ نزههم اللهُ تعالى عن الفحشاءِ والمنكر، نزَّههمُ اللهُ تعالى عن الزنا وشربِِ الخمرِ والفسقِ والفجورِ. إنما اصطفاهم الله تبارك فصار واجبًا علينا أن نؤمن بهم جميعًا من أولهِم ءادمَ عليه الصلاة والسلام إلى ءاخرِهم محمدٍ عليهم الصلاةُ والسلامُ جميعًا، من غيرِ أن نُكذِّبَ عيسى، من غير أن نُكذِّبَ موسى، من غير أن نكذبَ هارون،َ من غيرِ أن نكذبَ يعقوبَ أو اسحقَ أو إسماعيلَ أو إبراهيمَ أو نوحاً نؤمن بهم جميعاً لا نفرِّقُ بين أحدٍ من رسلِه. مع أنَّ اللهَ تعالى جعلهم درجاتٍ وجعلَ محمداً صلى الله عليه وسلم أعظمَهم درجةً، محمدٌ عليه الصلاة والسلام أيدهُ اللهُ تبارك وتعالى بمعجزاتٍ كثيرةٍ. اشتهرَ قومُه باللغةِ العربيةِ بالفصاحةِ والبلاغةِ، وأعظمُ معجزاتِ النبيِّ القرءانُ الذي عجَزَ فصحاءُ العربِ وبلغاؤُهم عن أن يأتُوا ولو بمِثلِ ءايةٍ منهُ.
