I also am having the same problems AND i would definitely like this fixed asap. I payed for thesd passport shows and now i cannot view them on my Chromecast. Extremely frustrating. Please fix. And dont tell me uninstall and all that hoopla cause it have already done it all
The app was working just fine until today. No videos would play. I kept getting an error message. So I updated the app. Big mistake. Now it says to check my internet connection and won't allow me to report the error. There is nothing wrong with my connection. I Uninstalled and installed the app, but the problem continues. Argggh.
The content was great despite the app having room for improvement. Unfortunately, we have been duped. I expect this kind of sleazy manipulation from the likes of YouTube and Hulu, but not PBS. This is now a pay app with very little content that is not behind a pay wall plus it contains commercials. PBS support is supposed to be voluntary not compulsory.
No longer crashes on launch, yay! The app is well-designed, but unfortunately doesn't allow you to save for offline viewing. I kind of need this for my long bus commute.
Still love PBS but they still haven't fixed the bug that continually causes video to jump back or skip ahead a second or two. It does this continually making it hard to watch. Come on guys, please fix this.
It wouldn't let me watch anything especially the one show I downloaded for which is Poldark. Really sucks how this app isn't to good. I had high hopes. I give any app a chance.
If it would stream every time I wanted to watch a video, I would be quite satisfied. I use Chromecast to watch programs and lately it will stream nothing. I am a thirteen member and do not appreciate the inability to watch programs whenever I wish.
Absolutely shameful! I pay for PBS on my subscription for my cable provider and I cannot watch the content on demand on my Roku or Apple TV, unless I subscribe and pay a second time for the PBS Passport! How far can you go in exploiting your customers? Just ask PBS. 2017 UPDATE - The sham continues folks, not even one comment from PBS who are supposed to be the "good guys" right? Shame on you !!!
I usually play videos weekly, but now I can't even get the app to start. It crashes instantly. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still crashing. Please fix this
Worked fine until June 20th, then stopped working. Keeps crashing before it opens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of times. Please fix! Loved it, otherwise.
Love PBS! Please fix app crash issues with latest update. Who needs cable with all the great app/website content, especially with Passport!
Ever since version 2.1.1 I can't get it to work anymore no matter what I do uninstall and reinstall clear cache nothing works.
Bummer. App not working at all even after clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling. Was right in the middle of a series. I'm paying monthly for this content.
I am having the same issues. June 20 it crashed and despite removing it and reinstalling the app it continues to crash! Please fix it!!!
Every few weeks, the app would just stop opening. Now it stopped working all together
Started crashing suddenly upon opening several weeks back. Attempting to uninstall results in complete Android restart.

Everytime I load the app on my Google Pixel, it crashes. I wish the app worked, but it appears to be broken.

I have to uninstall the app and then reinstall it after every update, but I love the fact that I have such great access to all of my favorite PBS content.
Chromecast no longer works. And I pay for this. Very frustrating. Will cancel my membership soon if not corrected.

Horrible with Chromecast: keeps losing connection. When program shows French translation in subtitle, app clobbers it with closed-caption text, "Speaking in French". D'oh!
It's great to have, but any time I change window size using multi window on nougat it reloads the video.
The only part of the app that works is that it crashes every time it's opened. Super bummer. Please fix it.

The app crashes 4-5 times before you can watch anything, especially on a Chromecast. If you want to skip to where you left off at an earlier time - good luck with that.

It would be really great if you could add in a rewind 15 or 30 seconds and forward 15 or 30 seconds. I think 15 is best . :-) It's very hard when you're using Chromecast on a phone to drag the time it small amount forward or back. My only other issue is whenever I exit a video and go back into it later, it never resumes. It starts from the beginning. Other than that, it's a pretty great program with Chromecast support!
