About Pace Control

KNOW AND CONTROL YOUR PACE.
• Would you like to improve the quality of your training and run exactly as fast as you should?
• During a race do you think you run quite slow while in fact you start too fast and you are too tired later to finish in planned time?
• Would you like to run using the negative split strategy, but you find it too difficult to calculate and check split times?
• Have you ever dreamt of the possibility to run together with an experienced pace maker?
• Have you ever wanted to race agaist a friend who lives far away and it is difficult to meet him to run together?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you will probably be a happy Pace Control app user!

MAIN FEATURES:
• Reliable pace information - pace calculation algorithm optimized to handle the gps signal in a way which results in stable and reliable readings.
• Finish time prediction - calculation of estimated finish time based on distance already achieved and current pace.
• Shadow runner - tracking race progress vs a virtual runner running in a predefined time and using a predefined strategy.
• Negative split - improve your results by running using the negative split strategy (start slower and gradually speed up).
• Voice feedback - no need to look at your phone to get information, you will hear the messages read to you in your headphones.
• Save to GPX - tracks you run with the app can be saved to gpx files, so they can be imported to external tools or sites for analysis.
• Export to Endomondo - possibility to export workouts to external running service: Endomondo.
• Map - you can see the track you run on the map.
• Totally free! - all of this is available for free. No hidden costs, no paid subscriptions.

The only app that gives me accurate and frequent enough pace notifications! I love love love this for keeping my pace so that I can get lost in my podcasts while running. I've recommended it to all of my running friends. A+

X70%
by X####:

Skype to use and just the ticket to help me improve my 5k ParkRun time. Only thing extra that would help me is more voice 'encouragement' along the lines of 'Come on you lazy fat lump of lard! Are you actually running or just walking!!!' kind of drill sargeant mode!

Y70%
by Y####:

Perfect for tracking your route and distance. I'm trying to improve my 5K time, so I depend on the realtime voice feedback. It tracks pace (in minutes/mile or km) and total expected race time.

X70%

Finally a app that works as expected by any runner. Helped me achieve my target pace and negative splits.

Awesome app. Works well simultaneously with Strava or S health and spotify. Have used it for a month just for pace coaching during my half marathon training and it has really helped me slow down and keep consistent pacing. Haven't tried other functions. I only set it to 1/8th mile cues and run it behind my run tracking apps. Only suggestion is a metronome or shorter distance increment cues for better pace tracking in short races. Highly recommend it.

I like that I can export my workouts to endomondo but not always. I have an app, fitness22, and i tried yo export my workouts from that app using pace control and it didn't worked. What can I do? It says: error exporting your workout or something similar.

X70%
by X####:

Accurately tracks pace. Make sure to turn off power saving for best results. It may be shortening distance over pedestrian crossings due to the loops they have to get up and over. In general though it sticks fairly close to the route.

X70%
by X####:

I used this twice for the same 1.5 mile run, and it recorded one run as being 1.39 miles and one as 1.52, so if you need accuracy, this is not the app for you. The actual pacing mechanism seems to be okay though...

This is a great app for keeping me in pace on my runs

Love love love when out on a long run normally I get to 6-7 miles and start to slow down this little miracle wow started off at a 7:25 pace got to 5 miles in lowered my pace to a 7:60 and kept going for another 5 fresh and not panting as much, give it a go

ABSOLUTELY GREAT! I've been a paid user of endomondo for 2 years now and I love it. The only thing Endomondo lacks is accurate and customisable GPS tracking. Pace Control does just that! I'm sure it will help me to shave another couple of minutes from my best time :) Congrats, I hope Endomondo merges is a your functionality in their own application.

Appalling! It spent my entire run searching for my location. Absolute junk.

X70%

Awesome app ... a MUST have for any runner Syncs with my endomondo account which in turn I have synced with strava Has helped me improve my 5k times and keeps me on track with planned finish times

This is what I was after - helps me stay on track to hit my race target time. Is there any way to get rid of ads though? Would happily pay a small fee for it.

The app is great, giving audio feedback as often as 1/8th mile. It has allowed my place stay more consistent than before.

The only app I can find that calls out pace at 1/8 mile increments. Just what I needed.

M70%

Really helps to have your pace called out every eighth of a mile. helps to know when to speed up or slow down to make your goal.

I use this application for running with small size phone. Please add the delay options for start. It should be usefull when you run without headset and put your phone into the belt or holder.

It's really useful to find out how gradients and tiredness affect my pace. Definitely recommend it.

It works pretty well although I haven't used it a whole lot yet. one feature request would be to be able to look back and review old runs. I had to download another app to do that, unless I just couldn't figure out how it was supposed to be done in this one. Update: to clarify, I downloaded another app to review the GPX file from this one. I still used this app for pace control.

Using it alongside couch to 5K training. Tried a few but this app is sweet and simple. Won't run without it.

What an absolutely brilliant update 1.4 is!!!!!!!!!! This app is now controllable from your headset button, in starting, stopping, giving you pace updates when required, changing your pace calculations instantly to accommodate planned pace changes etc. Absolutely a great app made even more brilliant ....... :)
