Utilita Energy for Android
This app is good for topups. I however think it would benefit from being able to show usage history and existing balance for times when your away from home. I recently spent 2 weeks away and was paranoid over my usage/balance so topped up when it wasn't needed. The capability to check it away from home would be perfect. I will update my review when updates are applied :)
When selecting 'Utilita' from the popup menu (top left) the application crashes. Also when using the back button after selecting FAQ or Help from the same menu, it closes the app rather than go 'back' to Home as one would expect. Other than this I have no problems with topping up - works like a charm. **Update - after an android system update, clicking on 'Utilita' now opens the website.
You can top up anywhere!! I cant just go back out as im a single mum and i have had this problem before with another company i was with before i joined these. id run out of gas and have to ride it out until morning. But i have also put an alarm on it so if it goes to £2 it will set off to say that i need to top up!! Love it and also can see when and how much i used that month ect. Must say im impressed!! And you will be having my friend joining very soon
Love the app.... very handy But I think it should have on it.... telling you what you have left on gas and electricity..... cos if your on holiday you need to know what's left for incase you go home and no gas or electricity.... and your frozen food is off or your pet fish are dead..... so the app needs a little tweak.... but still love it.
Great app I work mad shifts and my partner is disabled, so can't get to pay points when they are open. Takes all the hassle out of topping up our energy meters.
Why doesn't it link to how much I have left? My auntie has a smart meters and hers is controlled by the app, utilita need to up their game now they are lagging behind in technology
I am very happy that I went with utilita as it has saved me the hassle of rushing to shop when I need it and can do it in the comfort of my own home but yeah I do agree there needs to be something to say how much u have got left
As previous people have stated the app could be better. Other energy suppliers allow you to view balances and usage on your mobile app as well as the home display unit so far this app just allows you to top up. It serves no other purpose at this time. It's worked without issues for me but would like to see better features added.
Not a perfect app, but it does do as it promises. I do feel that a live balance is needed, and is possible as other companies offer this in their apps.
The app itself is easy to use, however, I was expecting to be able to see my balance and get alerts pushed to my phone. Please please add these features. I only changed to utililta because I thought I'd be able to do this. Is this something you're considering implementing?
Was great and so handy to use up until the latest update and now it won't let me authorise the payment after selecting the amount of money you want on either gas or elec, its just a blank page. Sort it out please, i'm having to top up using the cards now which isnt so great and handy.
Does what it's supposed to but please can we have a way to check credit via the app like other providers do? Will give 5 stars then...
Not working did for a bit keeps crashing now not very solid is it since the update..I have deleted and reinstalled app and signed back in to account still no payment authorisation there and reset bank card as well still no luck.. Need sorting soon my idea of having a smart meter is that i don't have to go to the shop to top up.. Put some professional developers on it you should be able to afford it.. Stop using cow boys do a crap job this metre could be a lot better.. If no changes hapen soon I'll will go with the next cheapest smart metre company with a proper app that works.. They are all changing to smart metres forr 2020 anyway..
Saves me a long tedious walk to the local convenience store which was a serious hassle with my old supplier. Also can top up from work if I forget.
I would rate 5 star if they could add a feature so you can see your ballance remaining in the app also that would be good so if you are out at least you know how much you have before you top up
I tried to top up £20 this morning and it displayed a message saying that it couldn't process the payment ! Waited 5 mins and tried again... but it actually worked the first time! So they charged me twice! Called up and now I have to wait 14 working days for a refund!! It's a Joke! Will be deleting the app and changing suppliers asap!
absolutely scandalous.tried topping my electric with £15.sorry but your payment wasn't successful.try again later.tried again later.same transaction.sorry your payment wasn't successful.£30 taken from my bank account.and I'm still waiting for my top up.guess what? once bitten.
So I like the app but my antivirus says Malware found.. It is a reputable antivirus Comodo so I'm not sure what to think of this..?
A good app if it actually works, it won't authorise my payment, I've tried uninstalling it and still won't, it worked yesterday!!!!! I would give it 5 stars if you sort the problems out, love from the not so happy customer!!
Love this app, as I no longer have to go to the shop just to top up. But as others have stated, it would be 5 stars if I could check my balance through the app.
So far had no issues purchasing top ups in this app which is great, just need my meter to actually top up without me having to do it manually on the keypad. Also would be cool if we could view our meter balance from within this app.
So easy to do.. and when the bad weather hits.. no need to leave the house.. perfect!!
But I can not make coffee with it, nor will it tell me the weather, or what happened in last night's Corrie. But joking aside, This app is awesome
Just topped up using the app no problems, if it could tell me the balance on the account I would give it 5 stars. Be nice if they could sort this.

App after update constantly crashing I can't top up because of it and it doesn't show balance on it either, useless app
Was not good last time it did not show anything hope this one is much friendlier than the previous one.
Ok app but doesn't show usage or current balance. Also it's not a combined so gass and electric are paid separately
Great for topping up the meters. Should say how much you got left, if your away from home for example.
Very easy and useful app BUT I think you should lower the minimum top up. My previous supplier there was a minimum of £5 but I've seen others as low as £1. Please consider it. Thanks
Doesn't work for me ask it to top up and nothing happens. Had same problem even before update.
The app doesnt work fails to top up and take money everytime this needs fixing
Its brilliant so easy to use I have it on both my phone & tablet so I can top up at anytime of day or night even at 3 in the morning if I want to :-)
Since todays update my antivirus software is flagging it as malware...
Great app but as few other have already mentioned it would be of more use if we were able to also see how much credit we have on the meter if we wernt at home.
