Not working on S8

I upgraded to a Samsung S7 back in March only to discover a bug which made taking card payments impossible with my new phone when the card reader was connected. I can give cash receipts no problem at all. Sent an email to Barclaycard and was told the software was updated every 3 months so an update was due anytime. We are now in August and nothing yet. I am gonna have to get a card machine from a competitor as I think this is obviously a low priority for Barclaycard

Dose not work on galaxy s4 buy sum up which I have now works on all my phones and less charges.

Disappointed not compatible with a mainstream modern phone, should our bank in effect dictate what phone we should use?

I saw the ad on facebook and then did a product and market research before buying it and I personally feel proud of my decision. I still use my galaxy s3 solely for the purpose of taking payments and I rarely ever had any problem with anything. Few months ago it just happened one time when I lost payment due to the bank's servers were down. I notified and they payed me back so in reality I cant complain...

The app not working on latest Oneplus, HTC, Samsung and other latest android not compatible. Only work on iPhone. Too bad. I was forced to order PayPal one . Barclay need to fix this and they don't even bother to do anything to the reviews and that's to bad. Please fix

Either the reader plays up or the app. Every now and again I can take a payment tho!

First machine they sent didn't work so a replacement was sent then to find out the app Didn't work on my Galaxy S4 kept saying unfortunately barclaycard anywhere has stopped so I upgraded to Galaxy S7 worked for about a month then after android update won't work I was told it was because my phone is to new and to keep trying every 2 weeks.

Poor service app stopped working without warning on hold to 0845 number for 15 mins got a qutomated service asking for my number to get a call back never recieved a call back 24hrs later im still unabl to take payments and still no call back from barclays really poor customer service will be disposing of this machine along with barclays business accounts asap

To be fair to Barclay's they did try calling me to tell me that version 1.2 doesn't work on a Nexus 5 but being on auto updates that wasn't much help. No roll back option and no fix for at least 3 weeks now. Come on, I have money to take.....

Barclays is a Thief to sell this machine for £70. It doesnt work and they dont refund. Had it for 2 years, had enough!!! will put it in bin and get a Paypal machine

How long do you have to charge it for? A have a 5.1 lollipop Android and it doesn't work. Just says the reader needs charging. Looks like it's going in the man draw.

Cool app but it's not practical with a wired machine it should be blue tooth connected for business use Samsung galaxy s5

Ordered and paid for this machine with bank singing it's praises. It's useless not even worked for a single transaction. Waste of money. Trying on Samsung s4 :/

Ive done 1 transaction and that was my card testing it. Other than that it just keep stopping or making me log in again. Total wast of time

Just got our machine through but it won't work with a Xperia Z1 despite barclays promise that it works on android. Gone to payleven instead

Been using this app for a while now and it works, but as the other reviewers say it brings up a login error on notification bar on my galaxy s5 . Really annoying. Fix it and you'll get 5* from me.

The annoying sign in error keeps popping up with no way to correct this. Had the app on my S5 for a day and this message popped up 30 or more times. Fix it Barclays. *UPDATE* - ive sent the card reader back and taken the app off my phone because it simply does NOT work. Good try Barclays, but it's useless

Stupid is the only word that applys. Don't believe any 5 star ratings. Probably employees.

The app keep logging out itself and ask be sign in every 10 minutes. So annoying and irritating

Same problem for me as other users: Sign-in error notification keeps popping up in my notification bar (Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini) every 10-15 minutes. If it's not fixed quickly I will uninstall and continue to use Paypal Here instead.

All bad reviews are really true. I just installed the application and the same login error showed me. Very anointing. And I told the when I ordered the device that I will use samsung s4 so they told me that is compatible.... To bad for such as big brand

The fact that a big bank like barclays release a card reader with such high levels of compatibility issues is really bad. I have a Sony z3 yet can't take payments unless I have a Samsung or Google phone or iPhone. So until that's sorted I will be using another card reader platform and will keep my review rating at 1 star. Seriously barclays sort this out!

Worst card machine ever Ive lost track of the amount of money I've lost. As the payment is going through on the card machine says payment complete remove card BUT it hasn't unless it says it on your phone.but the payments still won't go through to the last stage so try explaining that to the customer in the taxi if you say we need to start again,they refuse so you lose money ive told Barclays about this they have took no notice. Theres other issues but I haven't got the time to go through it. Avoid.

CHECK BEATS IS TURNED OFF. Initially the app would not work. They need to make it more compatible across the range of phones. When you look at the range it is very small. Later on through trial and error found the app works if beats is turned off.

Same issue here with it logging out and showing as a notification on my screen all day. Nowhere near where this needs to be for taking card payments. Transactions are very expensive. Costing me £26.00 per £1000 transaction. Will not be using anymore.

When this set up works its good for business. However some transations (despite having full signal and 4g) it wont allow payments to process and can take several attempts to make the payment! This does not put across the professional apperance i wish to set and one barclays should be ashamed of! Also i have a costant notification on my phone that i am logged out of the app! Highly annoying and cant be stopped! Also no way i can see you change the password for the app (because i cant remember the stupid one)

Works well cheap to have if your a low user of card payments all will say is you need a good network to keep signal mine is on Vodafone rubbish wait to change to one of the others.

App works fine but keep getting sign in error reminder appearing on my galaxy s5 which is very annoying. When I click the reminder it takes me back to the app to sign in.

Unable to accept payments with Nexus 6 device. Rubbish!!

Got this when I signed up to business banking with Barclay's. Wish I hadn't bothered. It hardly ever works and is incompatible with most phones. A total and utter waste of time.

Avg found a trojan horse in this app.

I just recieved my Barclaycard anywhere machine through the post, only on recieving it did I find out that although Barclays are championing this product as android compatible, it in fact only works with 9 android devices that are on the market today. Is it just me or is that pitiful? Yes out of 18796 android devices available only 9 work with this under developed waste of space... I for one think Barclays should hang there heads in shame, they have managed to put a product on the market that is listed as android compatible when in fact it is only compatible with 0.00047%. Very Disappointed.

Even though it says it'll work with any phone using Android 2.1 and above, it doesn't. After a frustrating weekend unable to get any help I got through to someone on Monday who told me it only works with Samsung and I-phone. Luckily I have understanding customers or it may have cost me hundreds.
