About JW Territory Servant
This application does not replace the S-13-F cards in any way.
This application is meant to assist those who are assigned to do territories within the chirstian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. It allows for adding of new territories and saves them to your android device.
Some features:
- Checking territories in or out so you can easier manage their status.
- View territories that need to be worked and those that need to be turned in.
- Export territory database to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Export publisher database to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Import territory and/or publishers from an Excel spreadsheet.
- Share territory over bluetooth
- Easily manage territories worked during campaigns.
- Easily see what percentage of the territory has been worked in the service year.
- Share database across devices with Google Drive and Dropbox
- Create maps and attach them to your territories.
Permissions:
GET_ACCOUNTS, USE_CREDENTIALS and MANAGE_ACCOUNTS permissions are needed for google drive backup.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is needed for saving backup files to local directories on your device.
BLUETOOTH and BLUETOOTH_ADMINis needed to share a territory over bluetooth.
INTERNET is needed to backup files to google drive and dropbox and to use google maps.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION is needed for the use of google maps.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE are needed for google drive to be able to schedule a sync if you don't have internet at the time that you try to back up your database.
CAMERA is needed to be able to take a new picture when attaching a photo to a territory.
BILLING is needed to allow for in app donations through google wallet.
This application is a great asset for any brother in keeping track and updating the territory records for their congregation.

Very good idea, but listing all the territories one after the other is quite laborious and time consuming. Although there is a search function, it would be far better if you could put maps into different Groups, and then filter by groups. (I.e. Group 1: maps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... Group 2: maps 6, 7, 8, 9..... etc)

... when sorting maps, it lists them 1, 10, 11, 12, 13 and so on instead of 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Also the ability to sort checked out maps by who has it would be invaluable for chasing up those with multiple maps. With these points in mind I look forward to future updates but thank you so much for the hard work thus far.

Can't setup second device to sync via drop box, any suggestion/directions. Wish the app was also available for iPhone

Added all pubs & 90% of the territories, went back the next day to add the rest of the territories but it just crashes out. Adding pubs also causes a crash. Everything else seems to work. I would love for this to be fixed. I like this app more than the others I've downloaded. Please fix!

I was wondering how to export into an excel doc. Also would be handy to have a couple more stats eg average coverage compleation of territory, stats for publishers with maps and how long they have had them for.

Well done Paul, thank you for your hard work. sync backup is great, will have to install on phone now, so I can access it anywhere, get those phone calls at times aaaagggg forgot to get a map off you. you know the one. That way I can see what is out and email one. will be goooood.... would like to have a sync button in the side tab, and maybe auto backup backs up when connected to wifi after new entry for tablets, and on phone whenever program opened. Update goooood, no more removing map :-)

A beautiful app, easy to use. Just wish when scrolling through territories the swipe to delete function was in the drop down selection instead. Kept deleting territories by accident.

i like the idea of the app. It has a good foundation and can help to track the territories. With additional features this can be a very helpful tool. the reason I am using this app is because it helps me to see which territories have not been worked the longest in chronological order consistently. other apps where flaky in this regard.

Before I had this app, I was nothing. I didn't have a dollar to my name, living under a highway underpass, begging for scraps. Strugglin. Survivin. Then I downloaded this app. I mean, sure, maybe I still live under a bridge, shivering in this frigid 13 degree weather. But at least now I can finally organize my territories to my heart's delight. 5/5. Would manage my territories again.
