Please add an LED notification option(and maybe even customize the color of the LED just for Geobells notifications) and a check box(checked = default value, unchecked = must be manually set each time) to set the location distance value to set and use the default value or to be set manually each time

This seems to work okay. But you can only configure 3 reminders in the free version, so it's impossible to test its effectiveness with many reminders configured. The pro version offers unlimited reminders, supposedly, so maybe I'll buy that. But wait, it hasn't been updated for 2 years, and is not being supported anymore? And you want me to pay for that? A smart developer that "gives up" on a project would make the pro version free and ask for donations. No way I'm paying for something that the developer doesn't care about.

You don't have to be forgetful it's more like a check list when you get to your location like Walmart and any other stores

It seems that there is no option to have just a notification without sound. Is it that I have enabled text to speech in my phone?

Description

Put in a location: the supermarket near my house. Immediately got a reminder (though I live further than the selected 200 m away). Changed the distance to less than 15 m -- after all, I entered the exact location and have my phone set to maximum accuracy -- then went grocery shopping. I had to be reminded by my boyfriend rather than my phone -- and even then, it still claimed that "Geobells is listening". Now, about an hour later, it suddenly claims the reminder was "Completed 5 decades ago". Laughable.

The fact that this is the closet I could come to a location-based reminder app is kind of depressing. Especially when this one doesn't allow me to select "current position" and doesn't even remember to remind me half the time. Needs work.

Everything works great except uses phone sound notification instead of app sound notification. I usually keep phone sound notificacation as silent which means i dont get an audio notification when app notifies me of my reminder. Fix and i will purchase upgrade and rate 5 stars. Have emailed dev and no response. Guess doesnt care about potential paying customers.

Absolutely amazed that the location based reminders go off unlike the problems I'm having with google now and even keep which is a bit better. although a lot to be desired regarding using the map and address function. most of the businesses and addresses I ask are not found. Even ones displaying on the map when tapped can come up as an error. therefore more often than not I have to select the nearest address which doesn't correlate notification I want 2 vaguely get to. Crashes deletes reminders. Good tho

1/4 mile from my office it reminds me not to forget something. Not sure if it's effecting battery and/or data.

cool app been using it for some time.....would be cool to have a delayed reminders....remind after x amount of time after entering/leaving area....for example after I arrive to home area and I am already at home after I find a parking spot, do the shopping etc.

Perfect, works as said. The only thing bugs me is the all time Geobells notifications, even after disabling the notification it stays. Uninstalled it for now, kindly suggest if there is an option to completely close it when not in use. Thanks

Eventually uninstalled it. Reminders come very very late if ever. Most times the reminders never happen. I tried setting a reminder to get gasoline when I pasted my favorite gas station. GeoBells never sounded an alert, tried this for over two months. If fact I forgot the app was installed. Yes alerts where turned on. Yes my GPS was working just fine on another app WAZE. I have a Samasung Galaxy S3.

One simple reminder and it missed it. If I get an app and it doesn't work the first time, there are no second chances.

It worked for a couple months, but now it won't recognize any address that I type in. If I try to use the map it just says "ERROR" next to the pin. I deleted the cache, deleted the data, rebooted, still doesn't work. I uninstalled and will look for something else now. Two stars because it did work for a little while.

I tried a Target store and my house. It said it doesnt know where they are. What am i doing wrong?

This app breaks new ground in location based notifications because it allows you to specify multiple locations with one single search terms. Say you want to be notified the next time you're near one of your local bank branches, but there are multiple locations to choose from. You just need to search for the name of that bank and any time you're close to any one of those multiple locations, you'll get a notification. AWESOME!

It worked maybe 3 or 4 times and then just stopped.

Installed the app. Trying the free version first. I search a location and it comes up in the list so I select it. When I go to save the reminder, it says location not found... I go to the map and physically select the location and it shows error... I like this interface and would use/buy but I'm hesitant if the basic location functionality doesn't work or is erratic... What am I missing?

Location based reminders don't actually work

Excellent app. Does what it is supposed to do and does it well. Much better than Google Now which is innacurate and doesn't provide a loud enough reminder (especially when driving). No issues with Geobells - consumes very little resources.

I created a reminder for my local supermarket about 200 yards away, and the notification went off immediately. I have GPS enabled on the phone, and can't find anything in the settings to increase the accuracy so it's no use to me.

The "notification" in the status is an eyesore, especially if nothing is scheduled. How come other apps like Skype don't need it to keep the service process alive? Better control over notifications would be nice. For some tasks, blinking LED would be sufficient. The app name is uncomfortably similar to Goebbels, even Google thinks so. But what really matters - it works, at least with the "notification".

There are app and then there are gods. This app is both. Reminder based locations has helped me with everything from remembering groceries for lunch to family dinners. All it takes is a simple beep when I am close to HEB. A simple beep is all it takes for serene happiness.

I have been looking for a long time to find an app that can actually tell me of a reminder or task excetera. This is the one my friends try all the others spend all your days on installing but this one's a keeper.

Brings up location settings on my Nexus and that's it. I have it set to "High Accuracy". After switching back to the App its stuck in the "No thanks" and location settings dialogue. Every other App that accesses location works. Like Maps or AccuTrainer. Would buy it if it works.

Most features don't even function correctly

I always wanted something like this. Even thought of developing it myself but this does it so well. Excellent app!

I can't select notification sound. Is it Bugs ???

I was sitting there just thinking the other day wouldn't it be great if someone could remind me when I left somewhere to get something and then I looked it up online and sure enough there's an app for that.

Coming from iPhone, location reminders were fantastic, and they are my most missed feature after moving to Android. Sadly, this app doesn't do the job of replacing it for me. The main problem I have is that if you are at the location when you set the reminder, it triggers immediately and won't reset until the next day. It needs to activate AFTER YOU LEAVE and then enter the location if you set it that way! The program should detect as you ENTER the area. Useless as is.
