I like the app but you need to allow people to buy 5 ride trip fare cards that seems to be the biggest problem and I only had once were my app froze and dropped my monthly digital pass. And this app requires internet. But vary good I gave this app four stars because of failure to load . Also not all the bus routes are included on the tracker I have a better app for that so RTA you need to work on allowing people to use the app with out internet and bring fare cards passes on the app that is the biggest issue people have no fare card options.

It's very convenient. It's really helpful, for those times when you're not sure where you're going nor what stop to get off at. It doesn't allow me to buy a monthly pass, though. I wonder why...I thought it would. The website indicates the app offers monthly passes. Why doesn't it?

Ok so I use this app daily but there are some major bugs as far as connectivity to the mobile network. If I restart my device I have to resign in the app which is not good when in a tunnel getting of the rapid at tower city. I love the idea behind it. But app is very glitchy.

I love it! I had too reset my phone & was able to just sign back in and all my farecards came up with no problem.... Saves me time when am running late for the bus & didn't pay for a pass in time...takes no time & am off to my day!....life saver for some...I love they came up with this finally

I would not rate it high for the trip-planning part (and mostly don't use that) but it is BY FAR the most convenient way to buy and use tickets/passes to ride GCRTA

Why can't you buy a one way pass?

K70%

Just needs a lot of work

Can only buy all day passes and weeklies, and there is no way to go back from the purchase screen to the main menu. As an occasional RTA user who needs lots of transfers, if I run out of 5 trip passes then I have to pay cash fare to take the bus to Windermere to get more 5 trips from the machines. The app should work by purchasing trips.

This app can't recognize when I'm in Tower City, isn't that one of your main hubs? When I'm trying to do route planning this app doesn't recognize some Cleveland addresses. Why would a app for a transit system in Cleveland give me autofill results for Pittsburg? Apparently my address also exists is Pittsburg, but the RTA app can't find my my address in Cleveland Heights

I purchase a monthly pass from this mobile app on February 2nd today on February 4th I was standing at the bus stop and I went to click on the app and it was gone from my phone I then reinstalled the app on my phone and it said that my records were fetched then I kept calling RTA and kept getting the runaround I emailed them and I also called now I am out of $48 what am I supposed to do?

Every time i rely on this app i feel like im taking a gamble, ive missed buses because this app gave me incorrect schedules, it doesn't always show you every option, definitely better off just using google maps :////

Its a very useful app. Thanks to my wife ; i wouldn't of known about it

I have had this app for over four months and I have lost bus passes cz it wants to update and not give me my bus passes. I have been on the phone for over three hours to find out how I can get them back but they just give u the run around each time u call them so now that I have lost 5 days on this app iam going to delete it and go back to just paper tickets . Bcz this is so wrong that we pay for this ticket and can't use them when u need to .

I've used it for a few months now and it had been great until today. When my bus showed and I tried to open the app, I got "An error occurred while attempting to reach RTA CLE. Please check your Internet connectivity or try again later." I was screwed and had to pay cash, though there was nothing wrong with my signal or data at all. I had 6 bars and other apps connected just fine. I usually don't carry cash and could have missed work because of this app. Not worth the risk

So far I've only used the app 2 weeks. But love the convenience of paying with my phone and just showing app screen to ride. The route planning feature makes traveling anywhere simple.

All it needs is a way to show either a Disabled/Senior/Paratransit ID, and I will give it 5 stars.

I realized I didn't have cash to get the bus in the morning... I panicked...then downloaded this app! It worked! I made it to my appt! I'm grateful! It's simple to use! Thanks rta!

After reading the reviews I'm not sure if I should even download the app. It seems to have a neverending amount of trouble. This'll be my first time using it and I don't want to arrive late due to a malfunctioning app.

I bought a new phone the day after buying a weekly pass, same number and everything. And i couldnt retrieve my ticket information, or access the app. I had to go straight to the rta office on w 6th st, downtown. It took two hours, but finally a guy helped me. He had to go back upstairs 3 times but he got everything sorted out. It works fine now. Sometimes you gotta go straight to the source!

Apparently people never need phone repairs, use multiple devices, or upgrade regularly. You can only change your phone with your phone number ONCE.

Cannot update. Customer service is a joke. Save time and all your money. If customer service is this poor, how do you think their security is.

Why can't I buy a Monthly Pass today on Oct 3rd??? Whatever your reason is, its dumb. Fix this asap please!

I had to delete the app a reinstall it. Then I had to wipe my phone. Now the app is locked and I can't use it. Says call support but no number shows. Found the number and they don't open until 7am and I need help NOW! I am done using this app! I bought 2 passes and chose the option to use one at purchase. Or so I thought. This stupid app activated BOTH of my passes! That is a waste of money! On top of that I can't get a refund or stop the timer on the pass! Change it to use ONE pass at a time!

How do I get my app unlocked, there's no customer service number on this site?....had to get a replacement phone because my needed repairs it let me switch them but now I can't switch back even though app is deleted off other phone

I like that I can buy my fare on here, rarely carry cash. Only downfall so far is that not all drivers understand what they are looking for. Had to go to the ticket details to prove was active even though countdown timer was running & visible

Love the easier way it is to purchase fare cards without having to stand in line. Don't have to worry about missing a bus or train. Thanks RTA.

S70%

You guys really need to update to a better app, you need to have the time tables of each bus route, and you also need to have how long it will take for you to reach your destination ex: instead of putting 230 mins you should put 1hr and 30 mins

K70%
by K####:

Why not start with the features you can't get elsewhere, like real-time vehicle tracking? Or at least a quick route timetable lookup. Instead we get a map based route planner that is worse than Google (the address box autocompletes with addresses around the country that you could never use rta to get to and you need to know addresses). Supposedly you can use it to buy fares. And then what? Show my phone to the turnstile and politely ask it to let me through? Or show to confused employees? No thx.

I have had to log in to the app EVERY SINGLE TIME I have tried to use it. (Enter phone number, wait 3 minutes for text, enter code, enter pin). Why not just have a username/password, or, use my Google Account to stay logged in. The ticket buying is annoying. I want to just preload my account with $20, and then show the barcode when I board, and the app should figure out my best fare: single-trip, single-trip, ohh third trip in the same day you now have the all-day pass... Or, 10 trips within 7 days, you have the week pass. I'd also rather have a reloadable plastic smart-trip farecard, like every other city. But I guess this is a start... But I probably won't use it to board until it has single-trip. The app needs to be so smooth, assume I have 30 seconds between opening the app, and boarding, it should be able to always have me logged in, and quickly show the bar code, without me fiddling with which bar code do you want me to generate. Think Starbucks app. I'll also probably stick to using Google Maps Transit and Transit App for figuring out which route to take, and when the next bus is coming.

I ride 4 to 6 days a week, and it's not always easy to get to a store or pay station, sometimes you just forget to have cash on hand. This app makes it easy! Photograph your debit card, buy your all day pass, you're good to go. The app is easy to use and seems quite stable. I'm sure the future updates will bring much more.

K70%
by K####:

The website is not user friendly at all and is very difficult and frustrating to navigate, and will give you bad routes. When I bought a day pass from this site it was only 13 hours instead of a whole day. And when I purchased a 7 day pass it wouldn't work for the first day so I only got to use 6. NOT TO MENTION MOST BUST DRIVERS DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS IS AND WILL GIVE YOU CRAP ABOUT USING THIS TYPE OF TICKET ALMOST TO THE POINT WHERE THEY DON'T EXCEPT IT. Absolutely terrible and frustrating.

K70%
by K####:

I like the convenience of this app..I don't like carrying cash or running around in the evening trying to get the cash and change to ride the next day..there are no stations where I can purchase fare card so this app helps me a whole lot!..One of the driver's ask me what the app look like and what was involved with purchasing tickets. .so my suggestion is at least brief your drivers, keep them in the loop..other than that very good RTA..I love this..
