I just wish that it will let me extend my parking time while I still have time left. Example if I have 2 minutes left on my time and I want to add another 5 to 30 minutes before time runs out I can't. I have to wait till it ends and then add another hour or 2 smh

So tired of getting tickets because I can't extend my stay until the meter fully expires. This has happened almost 10 times already. When you remind me that there is 3 minutes left on my meter, let me extend the stay right then!

The most awful app ever!!! I downloaded and tried to pay for parking. Well, it asked me how long do I want to park, I selected 2hr and it showed that it started counting time. 10min before time was suppose to expire, I made my way back to the car and found a parking violation ticket. When I opened an app, it appeared as I have never even initiated the payment process!!! I ended up with $45 fine and no one of course is able to help. I don't have time running around scheduling hearing. Don't use it!!!

This is a home run for Detroit (and any other city that uses this system. Very convenient! The App alerts you when you are running out of time and alows you to submit more money for more parking time. Just a cool and smart idea all the way around.

Horrible that u have to search for a parking zone #. With all the permissions this app has it should be able to recognize what zone u r parked in automatically. I shouldn't have to walk around and look for a sign and then still worry if it is the correct location. App should have a map showing streets and zones so u don't have to wonder and worry. Also, even though I had this app installed I parked on a street with no noticeable signage and believed this to be free street parking. Ended up getting a ticket in the mail 6 weeks later with a late fee attached (never received a physical ticket). For 25 yrs I was able to park on the streets of Detroit for free if the spot was not marked. Very deceiving process all together.

Last time I stayed in Detroit I ran down every two hours to feed the meters. After two days someone told me about this ,wish I knew sooner!

Super easy.. alerts you when your time is about to expire... yes! Also, once I made a mistake and paid for the wrong plate once and I got a ticket for on the plate of the car I was actually driving and I called the parking bureau and they transferred me to the app's tech support... explained what happened and the rep verified my story and told me that the ticket would be dismissed and I received a letter about a week later confirming the dismissal! I didn't even have to go to a hearing...

This app is helpful only if you plan to park somewhere for an hour or more. When you need to just run in and back out it's not helpful at all. But still a good app.

This app has a some serious "gotchas" and is a bit of a scam for generating parking tickets for the City of Detroit. 1. The alarm doesn't notify you that time has expired unless the app is open, so you MUST set a separate alarm using the Android clock app or some other alarm app-this is ridiculous and designed to trick the user. My phone is an Axon ZTE 7, BTW, so it's not an old underpowered phone. 2. The app won't let you purchase more than 2 hours of time in places like John R in front of the DIA, so you must renew from the phone diligently in these situations or get a $45 parking ticket. So while the app is somewhat convenient, be aware of the gotchas!

I can't extend my stay. It never leaves the screen where I choose how much longer to extend it by.

No one likes to pay for parking and parking tickets really suck. This makes it easier....like it

S70%
by S####:

I initially was reluctant to download the app because of it asking for permission to my contacts phone and SD card etc... but the app does work well and it also sucks that you can't transfer your time to different zones butt just as I listed above it's convenient

I moved my counseling office downtown and one of my dreams! Been using this app for a month and it's awesome! Parking guidelines is another thing! lol was great! got a new cell, tried installing app and nothing but problems trying load /sign into account,

This app is awesome. Makes it much easier to park in downtown. Only drawbacks are the processing fee ($.15) and can't do 15 minute increments. But those are very minor. Thanks Detroit, you did something well

R70%
by R####:

it's alright. kinda convenient. but you should be able to log parking history easier. logging should be automatic and continuous based on credit/debit card, plate number, email. also i should be able to take my unused funds to another area if i need to continue using parking meters. and waiting til the very moment time ends before being able to add time is ridiculous.

R70%
by R####:

Can't transfer your time from one zone to another. It does not show you the current time status of your vehicle if you paid at a parking kiosk, even though this whole system is linked to your licence plate number. Also all the time restrictions in the different zones are a pain. But don't get a ticket, $45...Cash grab Detroit at its best.

Overall I found this app very useful. However there are some issues I found very annoying. 1. The app has too many steps to submit a parking. I think you need to hit the next button 4-5times to see the final page. It's really SLOW and unnecessary. It really can be just a single page, fill in all the info and hit submit once. A lot faster. 2. The meter expire reminding time by default is 3 minutes, which I think is too long. Or too shor for others. Why not make it customizable?

R70%
by R####:

There are a few issues, but overall the app has revolutionized parking in the city. No longer are you forced to pay exorbitant rates to park when attending a ball game or concert.

The app worms week for the most part but I encountered a problem. When trying to add more time to my parking zone I continued to receive an error message about refunding "my wallet" yet my debit card is connected to my account. **confused** I simply started a new session concurrently. Best problem solving I could do on the fly. At least I know my fluid intelligence is intact!

My boyfriend and I used to rack up $300/month in parking tickets when we lived in midtown. This app was a lifesaver and would let us know when our parking was about to expire.

R70%

Why can't I just buy a days worth of parking? It's seems like a money making scheme. Other than that, it's very convenient.

R70%
by R####:

Could use some tweaking when extending zones and some error messages about zoning times that are inaccurate but other than that its effective and easy to use

F70%
by F####:

Works perfectly every time. Logon is easy, setup is a little time consuming but straightforward (entering credit card, vehicle(s)). Saves all info so after initial setup parking & paying is a snap!

R70%
by R####:

Buggy app with unreliable warning for expiring parking. It's supposed to warn you 3 mins before your parking expires but often fails. No option to have an alarm for the actual time of expiration. Often loses existing sessions, forcing me to restart app. Have several $45 tickets thanks to an app that is the only option for Detroit parking and works maybe 75% of the time. I stick to paying at the meter and using an alarm on my phone. Cheaper and more reliable than this half assed app.

No more running back and forth to the meter while stuck in 8 hour long trainings and staff meetings!

;-) Would be nicer if could do 30 minute increments. Convienence fee stinks and could be less.

Great app can always reload w/out going back to the paystation

Love this app. Only way it could be better is if you could choose 1/2 increments instead of paying for 1 or 2 hours at a time. I love that you save and nickname multiple cars on your profile. The $0.15 fee is totally worth the convienence of notifications when your parking is going to expire, also how it won't let you pay for when parking is free on evenings, holidays, and Sundays.

R70%

Convenient, however, I would like to pay in increments other than hourly, just like the actual kiosks. I feel ripped off in that respect.

The option to add time prior to the start time should be added. You find yourself watching the clock at the start of the day.

Surprisingly good parking app with quick and intuitive UI design. My only complaint is the app seems to run slow most of the time.

2 hour max per purchase with a 15 cent charge per mobile transaction. Only one warning and it falls 3 minutes before time has elapsed.

Don't have to leave the building to feed the meter. It should however be posted that parking on Sunday is free but Saturday is not. I've received two tickets because the Saturday parking was never enforced due to lack of budget.

Loving the convenience of tapping a few times & I'm done. HOWEVER, the time limits should be by the half hour. Sometimes I'm just running in & out at resturants or waiting to pick up. Otherwise love the app

I used to always have a problem with paying for parking. this app is very simple and convenient.

For a City that has struggled in the past to get the little things right, the City of Detroit has gotten their municipal parking act together. I love this app, the convenience and simplicity of the process. It's good for the city and good for the citizens. 5 stars isn't enough. I'd give 6 if I could.

This is exactly what Detroit needed for parking. I'm literally sitting and dining with friends and all I have to do is add more money to my vehicle on this app. #goodjobdetroit
