Smooth Parking for Android
Several features standout: ability to see free parking spots on the street highlighted in green, auto save of parking spot (if phone connects to car Bluetooth), alerts when parking expired including alternate side parking, inexpensive/free (if you report parking conditions)
Doesn't save location at all even with subscription. I have to manually go in to the app. Kinda pointless.
Despite reporting open spots I was charged, not possible to contact developer. Seems like a shady business model, cancelled my subscription, would not recommend this app
Saved me a bunch of $$$. First time I can figure out where and when to park
Great app. I had an issue with my subscription and they helped me resolve it.
Not usable and charges a monthly fee which is easy to forget to cancel
I can't figure out how to cancel subscription.
App is very rare to actually save my spot as intended. This is the major reason I was interested in the app. I found that occasionally I would use it to check parking rules in unfamiliar neighborhoods. But TBH I can just look at signage for that. If this app was consistent in its function of remembering where my vehicle is, it might be worth a ONE-time purchase. Until full functionality is in place this developer has no business charging a subscription. I will uninstall. Waze saves your spot too, so...?
Very useful app! I don't know why there is some people not able to save their spot, I do it every day. There is nothing free in this world. $0.99 monthly subscription definitely worth it to save you $ hundreds on parking tickets.
It shouldn't be a monthly subscription. Most of the people don't drive much in the city, and those who do they usually go to same places and know the rules there. I subscribed to this app and used it like once a month. That's like 1$ per use. It should be one time payment not subscription.
The app may not be perfect. BUT it is a life saver in NYC! It is on of the most valuable apps in my phone. Parking information is accurate. That's why I rate it 5 stars.
This app save me so much headaches in NYC. All the information provided was accurate and I ended up leaning to read the street signs for verification.
Terrible app. Horrible business model. They give you a free trial. The moment you forgot you signed up is the moment you're being charged.
Used it for a week while visiting NYC but if I lived there and had a car I would definitely get it and use it all the time. It makes the experience of finding parking much easier and simpler
$0.99 a month is definitely worth it. Other people talk about a free app from New York City, but I have not found one that gives all the necessary information about where a legal alternate side spot is, where one will be open soon, etc. As I drive, I'm reminded of which side is legal which side isn't and the place along a long stretch of RSD where it suddenly goes Tuesday to Monday legal. Plus I've learned stuff about where spots open early in the day so that I can grab 1 and have done with it.
It shouldn't be a monthly subscription. Most of the people don't drive much in the city, and those who do they usually go to same places and know the rules there. I subscribed to this app and used it like once a month. That's like 1$ per use. It should be one time payment not subscription.
The basic functionality of this app is great (try it, you won't be disappointed) but it has some irritating usability flaws: since it's mostly used *while* driving I wish the interface would reflect that - especially setting the timespan you are looking for. It would be better if there was a larger, round button that would give you a few presets: 1h, 2h, 3h, 6h, 12h ( or even "until" 8, 9 and 10 am ), backed with settings for your preferred morning take-off.
I absolutely abhor tricky if you want the info you have to blah blah blah always ending in the pay us category. If you don't mind reporting in 10 times a month I guess it's fine. I know people who just enter anything to keep their free access so just how accurate is it? And then they expect you to pay? No thanks. You're better off just going to the DOT website. It's cumbersome but at least it's REALLY FREE! Needless to say uninstalled this ripoff.
Parking data is free via NYC open data . Why would someone pay a monthly fee for that?
The app doesn't show any information without subscription
Save spot doesnt make any sense
The iPhone edition of this app is basically free, why do Android users have to pay a subscription fee. Just to find a legal parking spots should either be free or just one time payment.
I had a car in NYC for two months and this app was a life saver. It showed me that spots were legal to park in for a week because of street cleaning holidays I would've never thought to look up. It also gave me peace of mind when parking in a spot that i wasn't sure was legal. Definitely worth $1 per month if you have a car in the city.
This is pretty well done. I won't have much use for it but I tried it during a rare trip into Manhattan. I've been watching it on and off for a couple of days but I never see any open spots. Perhaps there are too few users.
Why I have to pay for subscription to get information ? if I'm looking for it on free apps ????? SMH
The app works great in NYC, so far no problem
I couldn't figure out how to menuver at all seemed to be alot empty talk / promises
I was automatically unsuscribed for some reason
Please cancel my subscription. This is ridiculous.
DO NOT INSTALL. I REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL. You may get caught like me in the endless loop of subscription and forget to uninstall 5 months later. Never ever install an app that charges you 1$ a month. Just because you guys were not able to figure out your payment model, doesnt mean you have the kinda subscription service that traps you guys.
I had an older version on another phone but upgraded phone. This sucks if I have to subscribe and possibly pay. I don't want to submit 10 spots a month. Spots move too quick in NY anyway. This is a useless feature and now I'll uninstall. Ruined my go to app for parking info. Thanks.
I already know most of the streets with good parking and at what times they are available. I know the rules and regulations too. I've been driving in New York City over 20 years. It's not with the $1 a month for me.
Forces you to subscribe and pay monthly. Otherwise it's pretty useless.
I got caught again... Installed it for free while in holidays in NYC. Never really used it because it was laggy... but forgot to cancel the "free" subscription so I got charged one month later. Classic!
This app is a blessing if you wanna take the gamble of parking on NYC streets (downtown, which is the tricky area). This app is a second layer of protection to assist your street sign reading abilities, which can get pretty complicated if you're new in NYC. This app will validate your understanding of them street signs and hopefully avoid a $300 towing bill.
Is no ads, and only a dollar a month ! They need money for their life too, stop give one star only because the dollar a month !
Saves time, gas, and aggravation. Very accurate! Worth alot more than $1/month.
When will jersey city areas be available?
This is a scam. I thought it would be convenient

Alot of potential. Very clean and simple UI. IF IF IF IF more people would use it would become a powerful tool. Otherwise great tool to scan for parking with regulations in mind.
