SSE - Universal Encryption App

Happy to know that, the encrypted files can be concealed within photo files. I suggested that to set all encrypted files to be " read only type ", to prevent the encryption files accidentally altered by other APPs.

I had a folder with few important stuff in it. Encrypted it, decrypted after 5 days and Presto.. Half the files are missing .. Absolutely what you don't expect to see.

There appears to be no way to access an attached OTG USB stick even via the SAF option.

So far this app has served me well. And I look forward to keep using it. Devs, you guys said this is an open source project, so do you mind linking me to the source code.

Great app. Any future plans for fingerprint login? I'd like to see a change in the UI also. Good work.

I will give it 5 stars if the password can be linked with fingerprint so I don't keep type the password.

I have encrypted a folder some time ago and I forgot the password. It's not possible to recover them right?

Tried it with Chromebook C738T, but it could not access the SD card. It did show it as an available drive, it just wouldn't open it or allow access to it. The SD card is what I wanted the app for.

Files are still visible even after encrypting, the very purpose of the app is defeated.

It's very Impossible for reading out for Whatsapp database Crypt12.

Sir, ive backups my password to SSE directory, but until i reset my phones, i cant restore my saved password. Can i use any other encrypt file to saved on cloud?

excellent app ... except ... after encryption how do I know which folders or(and) files are encrypted ... must I remember or write ? ... no "list" of encrypted files(folders) ??? otherwise everything works perfect ... a real MUST have app ...

THIS APP IS EXCELLENT, BUT HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MOVE FILES, IT WON'T LET ME EVEN COPY/PASTE. NEEDS ABILITY TO MOVE FILES/FOLDERS. HOWEVER, THIS ACTUALLY CLEANS CLIPBOARD!!!! I'VE TRIED MANY APPS, AND NONE ACTUALLY CLEAN THE SYSTEM CLIPBOARD. AN AUTO CLEAN IMMEDIATELY AFTER PASTING WOULD BE NICE. BUT I HAVE TO COPY/PASTE WITH ANOTHER APP. I DON'T GET IT. I'VE USED THIS FOR YEARS, AND STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHY NO COPY/PASTE, OR MOVE FEATURE EXISTS. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO ASK THIS STUPID QUESTION. I'M TAKING AWAY A STAR FOR THIS RIGHT NOW.

I cannot decrypt my encrypted file. Everytime i try to decrypt it, the icon on the lower right just displays "encrypt" please help me

This is an AMAZING app that is very well put together for everything it can do! You can get it for almost any OS!! Multiple encryption options and very easy to use with messenger if that's what your looking for. I would suggest making a actual "pro" version as most people don't like to buy through in app purchases. I'm still going to buy pro in app as a donation but please make a seprate pro version in the Play Store. Also I would like to see a sleeker looking GUI. Other than that keep up the good work!!!

Bought the Pro version based on reviews. The app sees the internal storage as my SD card. When I push the SD card button nothing happens. SAF directions say push More top-right but there is no such button. If I get help to resolve the issue then I will bump up the stars, otherwise I wasted $5.

How interesting that with max WiFi signal and great speed the download is pending. Especially when it was buried in the stack near the bottom. Yeah, even paraoids have enemies! Sod off and download! Just like Microsoft and Facebook trying to get data at LTE rates. How many updates this week?

I love this app! However, developers... Here's a potential issue: when creating a password, if you tick the "show password" box, the top password is automatically entered into the bottom password box. This has the potential for users to make a mistake in their password without realising it, resulting in a file or text that cannot be recovered. Maybe consider disabling this autofill feature by making users enter their (visible) passwords twice before clicking OK. This will allow verification of the password!

I have pro version and desktop also. I have made incrypted file on mobile and sent to Google Drive to decrypt on desktop. I am not able to make this happen. Is there a way to do this. I do not find a way to contact you by email.

No words to say, just awesome. One thing. Can you make an option to add this under device administrator to make it from preventing the accidential uninstallation. Also, i am not getting it, whats the purpose of password generator. Can you explain it?

SSE is, without question, the best multipurpose encryption app for Android. Well worth paying for the premium version. I use SSE everyday for one thing or another, and consider it an indispensable part of my toolbox.

I have reviewed quite a few file encryption apps and this appears the easiest to use and is highly secure. You are able to use your micro card storage device also. There may be a need to edit the encrypted file. So far, I can't see an easy method to do it. Without it, users need to unencrypted the file and encrypt again each time. Perhaps the app support team can outline an easy method. Always retain a copy of the unencrypted file on a computer, in case your phone is lost.

This app is great. Introduced a couple people I know to it. They find it useful as well. Just wanted to say: in light of the recent news report regarding the spying government, it would be a nice option to not have the letters typed show up on the screen at all during password creation/input or when creating a text in the text encryptor. idk how much good it would do, but something to think about. As far as performance it has the most features your gonna find, It's lacking a slick user interface but that's OK, it was having issues with the wipe feature not sure if that's been sorted out.

Well, it is a file/folder encryption/decrypt... I can use ES File Explorer or any other compressor with password as well. It's not "on-the-fly" in the way I wish to, a kind of Bitlocker for Android... uninstalled, could not go on to test further.

i don't understand why this app is not a 5 star so I'm giving it the rating it deserve :D seriously, this is a must have app kudos to the developer for making it free!! yes free!!! best of all, the encryption it provides is the same as the commercial ones thanks SSE!!

An amazing app and works extremely well. I also installed the Windows versions on my PC - EXCELLENT. So pleased with it that I bought the Pro version. Well worth the money.

Directory encryption doesn't work (on device folders) & the ASF also doesn't work (for SD card folders). You can do all the steps needed and when and you think ut's done ok. But when trying to browse to that target folder via any file/folder manager including the default one, you can open the encrypted folder and see the contents because it wasn't encrypted at all.

No permission creep, no forced signups, no uploading and storing your data on a "Secure" cloud server in Uzbekistan. It just does what is advertised, and does it well.

I highly recommend this app. Is it possible to secure entry to my passwords using the fingerprint scanner? That would be a nice feature. I use a large master password which takes time to enter. If no fingerprint interfacing is possible, would two factor authentication be possible? How about interfacing with Authy? Thanks again.
