Paragon UFSD root mounter for Android
I shouldn't have to read your long description for one small line that says exFAT support is VERY limited and it won't work for most people. It's in the name! Why is it in the name if it very rarely works? Very disappointing.
frustrating as hell! spent the whole day messing with this! i can mount and see my files, but can't view them because of LOLLIPOP (5.1.1)!!! COME ON GUYS! everyone else has patched their software for this BS android security, why can't you?
I inserted an exFat SD card in my phone but it didn't work with the app. I didn't even read what the app was saying. I was too disappointed that it didn't work. And the app is supposed to be for exFat, Ntfs and hfs+
And to many of you commenters, any of you soundnlike idiots as if you know what your talking about and the word noob is just annoying and is usually what someone not so confident in what they know usually says to someone else who knows just a Lil than them.. Paragon has desktop software I love and the fact you guys want any more out of this app or even use it shows how little you know about filesystems.. on that note talking to the Dev now, we need an app that can open/mount vdi or vhdx files over the local
App starts alright upto connect NTFS exFAT page once I connect such device through OTG it is detected by the system as unsupported device (exactly like the case before installing the app) and even after hitting REFRESH from app does nothing
So the app detects my NTFS Flash Drive then I press the "Mount" button, I mount it somewhere, I get a notification saying that I mounted the Drive but when I go back to the app it still says that I haven't mounted it. Basically I cant mount my Flash Drive, when I "mount" it, it doesn't work.
Yes great app i can see/copy the files but i cant live streamly watch movies. It work on small size hdd. But if u go up to 500gb up then it cant process. Seems that i dont know the problem tested 3devices with the os andriod kitkat 4.4.2 well it work on lower os andriod version. But this kitkat is tricky pls fix it Itried other external enclosure but the same result. Other is it has conflict on es xplorer which they fight which path to choose. This is a really issue for me beacuase i love watching anime
The description clearly reads exfat is supported, but in the app it says it's not. How's that for customer misdirection!
I was able to read my hard drive 1TB. But was not able to move stiff between mobile and hard disk
All other apps that require root are clearly marked, also the title suggest that the exfat support is one of the main features and not very, very limited! Very misleading.
It is working but there is a major problem about which I think that if this app's developer improves this app then everyone will like this app and will give 5 star including me. The problem is that it works by acquiring root access but when I want to use the file of the NTFS partition through any non-root acquiring app ,the non -root acquiring app can not access the file which is on the NTFS partition. FOR example-I downloaded a 4 GB ps2 iso to play it through a ps2 emulator .But because Fat32 has limitation of 4 GB I used paragon NTFS app to read NTFS partitions so that 4 GB file can be stored on my SD card but when I run the ISO file to play on any ps2 emulator, every emulator is not able to access or read the file. So my main aim to show the lack of this app is that ,it can only allow NTFS partition's file reading capability to only root- acquiring apps and not non-root acquiring apps. I am sure you would be able to understand my problem .I love this app and I want it to be perfect. With deepest regards, Navneet Kumar Singh Waiting for your reply.
Does not pick up any usb drive I put in. Waste of time and big disappointment in paragon. You truly deserve nothing.
If you can't do it, remove it from the name! And no you are not the only solution available. Stickmount does it way better and support exFAT response to dev: its not polite to make false claims in your app descriptions too!
I only installed this so I could comment on all the comments (OK, so really only on a few of the comments) to the arrogants who think that anyone who complains about anything are idiots, go look in a mirror and get a good look at a real idiot! As to this app, if you are not supporting exfat for anyone but OEMS, then take it out of the title of the app! Does it not occur to you at all that the vast majority of people that use Google play to get their apps are NOT OEMS? And when people make comments about not being able to use what you have made the very first format in the list of supported formats don't you think that just maybe removing exfat from the title instead of responding "read full description" might be just a little bit better costumer relations? WOW! (I apologize, I get worked up when I see arrogants who think that because they know something more about a single thing then perhaps many other people that that gives them a right to denigrate others, it doesn't, all it does is make you look like an egotistical arrogant fool. If you were a real intellectual you would know that.)
I have root in my phone. I also check in root checker it say root properly install on this device and its not working. Why because this is fake??
I CANNOT ACCESS MY SD FORMATTED TO NTFS ON MTP UNDER KITKAT . EARLIER I WAS ABLE TO ACCESS SD CARD VIA MTP ON JELLY BEAN. NOW THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO TRANSFER FILES TO PC IS THROUGH ADB OR OTG
it says on its title exfat, etcs but cannot read exfat.. not working on the said file format.. i would love the app if it is complete...please fix...thanks in advance
Non existent and misleading. Please remove it from your play store title, since ita removed from the installed app
The app works beautifully when you have a few hard drives, an externally powered usb hub and a usb to micro-usb hub/adapter. Would recommend. When I asked Paragon (feedback mail) about getting licenses for ExFAT to sell ExFAT functions to us, there was no response.
Add a button to the notification so we can unmount without opening the app! Also can't copy some file such as "boot.emmc.win" from TWRP backups, strange! -EDIT- Does not mount anything on my new Redmi3s.. RR Rom Android MM, shouldn't it work?
This app is great. Now I can download files larger then 4gb. Easy to use, don't crash and is very good for those who want to use their SD card for saving large singular files. Android must add native support for NTFS system.
Excuse me, I have read the description. Found about the restrictions on Android 6.0. Any chance that you may update your app to support this?
Awesome because I use torrent to download but big game iso file is bigger then 4 GB so its give error after searching on web this app is access to NTFS card awesome now my 16 card.I can download 30 GB game easily. Thnx bro
Great game!! its making you angry..
Works perfectly, folder now shows inside the internal storage but now i can download torrents above 4gb of size on my sd card thanks!
My devices detect usb but i can't btowse files
Its working in my rooted Sony Xperia M Dual in NTFS format. Just installed and memory started working. Your phone has to be ROOTED to use this feature. Just format your microSD card in NTFS format using a card reader and put it in your phone and install this app. You are done. Don't forget to keep backup of your microSD card.
works, i had to mount the NTSF usb on an empty folder, this works, 1 star rapers are obviously stupid noobs who have no idea what root is my phone is a basic 4.1 smart phone, needed this to mounts NTFS card that would support 15GB single files as torrent download since FAT32 only support max 4gb for one file
In KitKat this worked wonderfully, my 256GB drive and I had a blast with it. In Marshmallow nothing, it sees the drive, attempts to mount but it can't. Isn't there a way to break/skip/disable Android's moronic storage restrictions? I don't care about this "security". First, I am my own security, I don't need anyone telling me what I can or can't do. Second, a "security" that breaks functionality is useless for me. Third, even if the drive or the phone blows to smithereens I'd be insane if I had an only copy of my files in a portable storage. With that said, is it that you technically can't do anything (we're rooted after all) or you just aren't willing to bypass Google? You could put a big red warning about it and the user takes all responsibility. Whichever it is I respect your decision, I'm just asking. I still rated 5 because as I said, in KitKat it worked perfectly and I hope some day I can use it again in MM. It's just the system's limitations. If this was Windows I'd bet there would be a security policy or registry edit to remove them (something similar in Android that doesn't involve installing custom roms would be really cool)
and I'm even on marshmallow. If your drive doesnt appear as an individual storage, try checking the ParagonNTFS folder. Most of the time its there. The only thing I'd like to see improve is the UI. Looks like its for android Gingerbread and its already 2016!
It says my ntfs sd card is mounted, but I can't access any of the files on it
This does indeed mount NTFS partitions - however, (on marshmallow for sure, not sure about other Android versions) this app mounts the partition In kernel space (visible to root console) but not userspace (what most Android apps use). To get around this you need to create a fuse shim of the mount directory. Create a folder in the root directory like /external, then (as root) mount -t sdcardfs /path/to/appmount /path/to/root/folder Now normal apps should see your storage device under the folder you made
Mounted all my internal units, hidden or not, regardless the file format, on my Remix OS PC. Flawless.
Wanted to try it first before "donating" money and the only other option was clicking something that said "donate nothing you don't deserve it"? Then wants root access?.... There's a lot of programs that claim to work it would be nice to try it then donate instead of paying money and to regret it...One more thing everyone that has an issue with this app gets the same copy and paste response... Looks to me like " I made this app now give me money" kind of "devs"
It's great to be able to support files over 4gb on my Android tablet. I'm not surprised about the security issues on Android 5 and above: I actually downgraded to Android 4.4.4 because I couldn't stand these limitations. I highly recommend this app to anyone wanting more options for their Android file system with a rooted device on Android 4. Don't forget to support the developer with a donation. Great job :-)
with the plugins installed mentioned in the app can read in non root lollipop system
Recommend to every root user. Must have app for a rooted supported otg device user. I have a Lenovo tab s8 50 Lc which only supports FAT32 formatted drives it is wonderful for me now I can connect my 2 tb WD my passport ultra to it wonderfull.keep it up paragon
Great work by the developer. Worth paying for though it is free. Wish I could have contributed somehow.
Cant format my sandisk ultra 64gb to ntfs. Bad app

I bought a 64gb sdcard online only to find out that my phone doesn't even read the card when inserted. After an hour of research on the web, I saw this app and boy, paragon saved my life. Now my lenovo a6000 can handle 64gb worth of videos, music and files, all thanks to this great app.
