স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের সংবিধান

গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশের সংবিধান স্বাধীন ও সার্বভৌম বাংলাদেশ রাষ্ট্রের সর্বোচ্চ আইন। এটি একটি লিখিত দলিল। ১৯৭২ খ্রিস্টাব্দের ৪ঠা নভেম্বর তারিেখ বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংসদে এই সংবিধান গৃহীত হয় এবং একই বছরের ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর অর্থাৎ বাংলাদেশের বিজয় দিবসের প্রথম বার্ষিকী হতে এটি কার্যকর হয়। মূল সংবিধান ইংরেজি ভাষায় রচিত হয় এবং একে বাংলায় অনুবাদ করা হয়। তাই এটি বাংলা ও ইংরেজি উভয় ভাষায় বিদ্যমান। তবে ইংরেজী ও বাংলার মধ্যে অর্থগত বিরোধ দৃশ্যমান হলে বাংলা রূপ অনুসরণীয় হবে।
