This is an insane app. Doesnt allow me to log in saying the server cant be reached all the while.

Managed to use this app to watch one lecture recording, but now it refuses to connect to the server. Total waste of time.

I am running the latest Android and I am able to watch video, but I am not able to record video to be uploaded. Not very useful

Can't log in! Keep getting error 710...

Hey, cut them some slack :p been holding off downloading this because of the bad reviews, but it works for my University's panopto and I can pause and rewind 10 secs, which is nice. It's a good app!

Doesn't work AT ALL. Cant even log in. Not even worth the time to download it. Interesting to see how positive the responses were for older versions of the app.

I can't even log in to my university's Panopto to access lecture recordings. I'm stuck on the login page. Terrible.

No casting, no speeding up videos, no downloading for offline viewing.

Easily the worst video app I've used. It's extremely finicky and inconsistent about logging in and the load times can be pretty bad. I'd normally just not use the app and not bother reviewing it, but viewing a recording over your phone requires this app; you cannot play it via a browser (I've tested it for Chrome, Firefox, and the default Android browser). It works occasionally with a little patience, but the fact that as long as your school/whatever institution is using Panopto you will need this mostly broken app to listen to a recording while you're on the go earns it one star.

Worst app I've ever used...The only thing consistent about it is how frequently it shuts down.

Unable to download video

It takes several minutes to log me in, then it takes ages to buffer the video -despite waiting a long time, I've never had a video actually finish buffering. Even when I am prepared to just leave it as long as it needs, the app closes when my phone screen switches off, which no other app does! When I go back on it, I've been logged out. Please fix this app, as the browser version of panopto can't play on my phone at all (gives an error message about my device).

Garbage, never loads, can't search anything either. Correct email and logins don't even work right. Don't download this until someone competent programs it. I wouldn't be surprised if schools changed their provider for this feature because it's utter garbage of an app.

First of all the idea that you have to give part of a sometimes obscure web link to access panopto is silly. Secondly, the video player is extremely temperamental and has yet to make it 5 minutes into any lectures. Fix it.

I can't get the app to work on Android os. I'll get to the log in screen, log in to my school's platform, then nothing happens. I've tried on 2 different phones, uninstalled/reinstalled several times. Waste of time.

Works ok, but has no ability to sort between different video groups making use for my class very tedious, as it shows videos from every course in my college that uses the program.

Used to open videos in MX player - doesnt do it anymore for some reason. Very long buffering time makes the app useless.

Sure, let's not organise our lecture recordings into folders. Facepalm

Everything about this app is broken, when I fist downloaded it, it wouldn't play videos I clicked on in the Canvas app, it wanted a URL to the host website which you can't see on the Canvas app. So after I got on the computer and finally found the URL, then the videos won't play they buffer forever, it's like they are running 4k. Fix the playback issues and it won't be a half bad app. But as it is the app is unusable.

Leave it to educational institutions to make things overly complex using bugged technology. Audio is terrible and quiet. Picture even on text presentations had frame rate delay and all in all this app is too convoluted - not at all user friendly. I wonder why schools don't just let us record and upland without 3rd party trash like this. If you're being asked to use this for a school project I highly suggest you contact your professor and seek alternatives - this app is functionally useless.

I used to be able to speed up videos once they were recorded. Now with the app I can't. I had a great experience using chrome but now it forces me to use this piece of junk when I watch recordings on my phone. Y'all made things worse. What's up with that?

I like that my class videos are all in one place, but the video was buffering for almost 20 minutes. Additionally, I can't speed the video up to play at 2x speed

This app is the worst. Most of the time it won't let me log in, I usually get an error message saying connection error. Then if it does log me in, there's buffering issues and the picture quality is poor, freezing all the time. They definitely need to fix this.

This is a great idea, but it is plagued by issues. Audio feedback is awful, and video quality is pathetic. You cannot zoom to be able to see the teacher writing. So if the lecture room is larger you are screwed. The app is terrible is it decides to work at all. For the life of me I cannot understand why colleges and universities are using this.
