Smartphone Connect

I use to check every product, but this time decided to move forward without checking the reviews, well, I am very disappointed with the functionality and battery optimization of this product; not even the battery pack of my Moto Z is enough for the consumption of this app. The app developers I am sure can improve the app making it to wake up when the wifi network the phone was configured for is in range only.

Great idea incredibly poor execution. Panasonic should be ashamed. The app is a battery hog and it isn't even well designed. If you want to transfer contacts to the base station you have to do it one at a time. You can't even select multiple and automatically queue.

This app uses a lot of battery even when the WiFi is not operational. The are a lot of areas where the UI needs improving. It doesn't always connect automatically despite good WiFi signals. This app gets worse and worse, very rarely does it connect to the base unit. Going to buy a different phone now.

Note: After upgrade to app version 2.4 had to uninstall and reinstall app before it would work. App has a few flaws. Excessive battery use, even when the device is not on the right network is the worst. However it mostly works and I love making calls from android. I suggest to Panasonic that they fix the app and release a cheaper version of the base station that does not have a handset.

The most important feature is still badly missing. This app is made for landline calls first and foremost. And most often, we use the smartphone's contact book which stores contacts in the international format, that is, every number starts with plus sign and country code. Try this format with your local landline. Doesn't work, huh? Of course... You need to substitute that plus sign and country code with the prefix that your landline will recognize. That's the most important feature which is still missing.

It just keeps disconnecting and giving Error E1-04 and the only way to reconnect is to close the app and restart it or disable and re-enable the phones WiFi. Why can't the app have a watch dog to do this. Nice Phones let down by a worse than useless app.

Will no longer connect to Base unit since upgrade to Android 6. Will upgrade back to 4 stars when this is fixed. Other comments when it worked follow: Athough there is a very slight delay when first picking up a call. Battery drain not really huge and not an issue in the house, there is a manual exit function if out of the house for long periods. Only flaw and reason for 4 stars is contacts on mobile phone, after xferring to base station, don't work if in format 0044 xxx . +44 xxx and 0xxx work fine

My opinion of this app has gone steadily downhill. Main criticisms: 1) App causes CPU wakelock, hence MASSIVE battery drain 2) App cannot be configured to close itself when leaving home network 3) App constantly disconnects from the DECT base with E1-04 error, meaning calls are often missed)

The app randomly disconnects itself a few minutes after restarting it to get a fresh connection. And during calls it drops the connection. I think the base has a poor WiFi connection even right next to the WiFi access point. This was not fixed in the last update. Please fix it

As titled, I don't understand the negativity some users are having here. It works well once setup correctly. Pros: Volume of the in-app headset receiver is amazing! It's so loud and clear! I don't know how did Panasonic invent this to go louder than the maximum on my regular calls made on my S7 Edge. Pros: All the expected features of calling are there - Contacts integration, copy and paste, etc. Cons: dialing numbers is a bit laggy. Cons: Back To Exit (and Kill) app should be implemented.

The app worked reasonably (when it stayed connected to the WiFi) with my Samsung Galaxy Alpha. However, on changing to Samsung Galaxy S7, I have not been able to register the new mobile, as the app says the base unit is alrready connected to a maximum (of mobiles) - seemingly 4 is the maximum, but I only had one mobile! To de-register a handsets, the instructions say to go to "More" etc within the app ..... there isn't a "more" option on my version of this app on my mobile! I have deleted & re-installed the app, but no change. For this reason I have given it just 2 stars. So disappointing (but not surprising, when it comes to Panasonic equipment).

E2-01 Maximum number of smartphones registered to base. How do we remove them? I can't see any way using Galaxy S6 with Android 6.

Why is there no option to master reset the device and delete all associated handsets. I am unable to use the phone as it is registered to old mobiles which are lost now. Pls provide admin option in support.

The app consumes all my battery. Today, for example this app used 45% of my battery usage. I've never seen an app use as much battery. Panasonic is a fix coming for this? I paid a lot of money for this phone with the app being the primary reason.

Does not work ....cannot hear and understand nòthing . Please update or fix issue .it sucks.panasonic we are in the year 2016 ....it does not do what it suppose to do.you cannot call or receive call from app .Distortion ,voice, breaking .i got 1 month to return the phone back .0 star 0star 0star.

Works on certain wifi devices. As well as, the voice quality is impaired. We hope we get improvement soon.

Bought the KX-PRW130W the other day... This app locks up after just about every use, requiring me to hunt down and forcibly close it before I can use my cell as an extension again. Very unhappy and will probably return the phone because of the crappy app.

Sending multiple contacts from the smartphone to the cordless phone is hectic task. Either send all contacts to the cordless phone or add contact one by one to the list (after each selection of contact, it closes and returns to the app). If you want to add 100 contacts, do this 100 times. (each time the contact scrolls to the first entry) what a shame Panasonic!! Why don't you first load all the contacts to your interface and let the user to select/deselect each contact in a single click? ! your developers should get training on 'how to develop user friendly apps'. Not mentioning about frequent dropouts and crash after each use. I'm just wondering whether some one really tested this? !!

Got the phone thinking for such an expensive phone, they would have got some good devs to build the app. Unfortunately no. The app keeps disconnecting and you have to force close for it to connect back again. If you use the WiFi repeater function, the it doesn't work at all.

Brilliant Idea deeply flawed execution 1.) An outdated very user unfriendly app that appears to be from the stone age of mobile phones 2.) A smart landline limited to 500 contacts ? seriously with no good way of managing those I regret the purchase of this device i suspect you will also

Please try to improve on the app working conditions.. as it does not keep its settings and always gets dis connected... It does not even show caller ids... Worst app ever... You people need to do some serious upgrade over this app

I previously gave 5 stars for superior experience. However, I had to downgrade to 1 star, because ever since I upgraded to Marshmallow, the connection became very spotty, and even drops the call quite often. Right now, it's unusable. I emailed Panasonic several days ago, but there has been no response. I was using this for our small business, but now we have to look for an alternative. Until Panasonic responds to this issue, we cannot use our smartphones. Only cordless handset works.

Extend to outside network will make the phone usefull. Dont have huge house to extend phone same wifi
