Beefcake - Gym Workout Logger for Android
The app USED to be clean and simple... Exactly what I wanted. This new version is much much slower, at least on my ZTE phone.
Great easy to use app that doesn't confuse you on every move you make. Thanks a million.
Used to be the best workout app on android, but I've since switched to the app 'Progression' which syncs with Google fit and allows you to set a different rest time for each exercise in your routine. This app has become more complicated without adding useful features.
No more notebooks or programs that claim they do what I need, Beefcake has it all this is the BEST on the market! I love being able to create my own workouts and download the information so my doctor and I can track my progress, Thank you for building an app the works.
800 times better than me tweaking a note file, and with no bells and whistles to work around. This made what I already do quicker. As simple as that. And also logs workouts to days on a calendar, which I would never bother to do myself. I rarely review, but it's a crime that this isn't a better known app over some ridiculous workout loggers with animations and oodles of complications.
I just downloaded this app and I'm already loving what I'm seeing. I don't know if it could be possible, but is there any way the mpoints can be incorporated, maybe a widget ? Just wondering, this app is already great though. Keep up the great work.
Not enough exercises to choose from. They're badly categorized (deadlifts does not show up as a back exercise).
Logging workouts works OK, but the app lacks an option to auto-sync across my phone and tablet. What about adding a dropbox/gdrive sync option?
Great app!
great for workout progress.
Hands down the best workout tracker on Android, with an incredibly intuitive design that allows me to spend more time lifting and less time fiddling. The only bad thing? It seems to be reasonably unknown, never listed in roundups of Android workout apps. Maybe it needs more advertising?
This is EASILY the best workout app on android (which isn't saying much) and with the fee for pro features, the developer knows it. The developer is great at releasing constant updates, but the app is a little slow on my Moto X. Also, I'd like to be able to set a different countdown time for different movements.
Good App. It would be better if you add more workout and categorized workout
I've used almost all the tracking apps around here & I must say this is the first one I'm impressed with.Kudos Patrick & Magnus.
Hands down the best there is. Great work, and keep updating and listen to the users, the way you do! Awesome!
...and absolutely one of the best of its kind...but no option to buy. Only a subscription (for what?)
How do I delete a log?
Great app!
Has everything you need to yrack workouts
Very effective workout logging app which continues to improve with regular updates.
Really good App that does the simple things well....easy to programme.
USABILITY! The killer part of Beefcake that the other programs don’t get is usability. Usability is ultra-important when you are lifting. Because if you are doing it right, you are zonked. You don’t have the time or energy to fiddle with an app. No complicated drop-down boxes or repetitive entry. Weights are properly auto-populated. The timer doesn't block the screen. (Jefit I’m looking at you) In Beefcake, it tracks were you were and were you are. One or two single presses to enter data. That’s it. Three options to track repetitions should satisfy straight liners and pyramid types. Yes, there are things missing like cloud storage and Google fit integration. But I hear an Android Wear version is in beta, so development is ongoing. And I haven’t had a crash yet. The basics are there and they are solid. Some of the importing and graphs are paid. But’s like 1/3 of a Starbuck Verde per month. Come on, throw the dudes a buck.
Good approach but the app is not polished yet. I have no problem with the payment system as people need to get paid for their work but the current rate might be a bit expensive for the offered "pro" features. This app is similar to FitNotes except FitNotes is a lot better, more polished, offers more features, and free

The UI in this app makes no sense. I spend more time fiddling around with the app trying to track my workout than actually working out. There are days where I avoid using it at all.
The Best
Solid
Hey guys, you've made a beautiful app. I paid instantly when I realized there were metrics. Some little changes I'd like to see, when scroll on the stats->exercise tab to view the grab, I can only swipe the graph left and right, not the numbers. Also, when viewing volume for the day, it'd be nice to see it for specific exercises so I can calculate if I did less or more volume. Besides that, the app is amazing!
I use it for myvworkout at home
This is EASILY the best workout app on android, and with the ridiculous fee for pro features, the developer knows it. I WILL NOT pay a monthly fee for something as trivial as a workout log, but I'd pay as much as $5 for this app. The developer is great at releasing constant updates, but lately the app crashes and has slowdown frequently on my Nexus 5. I'm not sure if this is because I have almost a year of workouts logged.
Got everything you need. I've been using it since the first versions!
The best one I've found so far
great for workout progress.
The pro features are reasonable but I'm not willing to pay monthly! One of fee would be much better but I feel like I'm going back to redy gym log, this is due to lack of free export/backup feature! And moving between phones is difficult... Other that that it is great!
Could use the ability to put points in distance such as 1.34 mile and a body highlight muscular map to show muscle grouping by workout also a schedual for reminders on dates and notifications and use of the s5 heart rate tracker and pedometer would be nice and as before a timer pause forsome things would be nice too.
Absolutely brilliant! A truly phenomenal app, it was exactly what I was looking for! Going to purchase pro features once I've been using it more. Helps to organise and track your routine really easily.
So-so..
I have tried many different training log apps, and Beefcake is by far the best. I especially like the clean UI, and the ability to add custom exercises and make a workout on the fly, or to create a routine and save it. The only thing this app is missing is the ability to enter in notes for each exercise. It would be nice to be able to note if you failed on a rep, or if a weight felt heavier than usual. If a notes section could be added, this app would be perfect.
I have been on the hunt for an app that would be able to track my circuit workouts and provide me with all the right information and stats. I must have tried and looked at 20 different apps at least. Some of them were quite close to what I wanted for my circuit training but it was only once I have looked, tested and tried Beefcake that I can finally say I have found what I need. I am fairly sure there is plenty of things that can be done with the app to make it even better but for anyone doing any kind of circuit training, there is no better app than this one.
