GlobalProtect for Android
Great Product..
Once this app works, it's great. It still has many issues with certificates and configuration downloaded from the firewall. The UI is very ugly, and the user experience is not that good. The is still a lot of room for improvement here.
Pops up all the time and wants to connect when not in use. Get out of my face. Palo Alto Networks should look at Cisco's AnyConnect VPN to see how an app should behave. Uninstalling.
So ugly! Hire designer and UI/UX engineer!
Completely broken after last update. Gets to"Connecting" and locks up.
VPN itself works great, but the UI needs serious work. Clicking a check box enables the connection. Does unchecking the same box disable it? No. You need to click into a submenu. :(
I'd rate it zero stars, just based in their lack of support, if I could. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Since updating, the app demands that I allow VPN access for it, and that is not an option. The dialogue will not even allow me to click 'ok'. I tried to get support from their page, but you have to register, they do not allow public domain in your email(NOT giving out my work address), and you have to register the serial number of your device.
The real work is in the back end on the Palo Alto appliance. After setting up the client after install, nor much else to do other than click Connect. Not sure what enhancements are needed. The PA appliance is waaaay better than the Cisco ASA, and Any Connect in general is a pain to configure on the ASA.
User interface on this app it's awful on all platforms not just Android. We use to have Cisco and switch to this... Really can't stand this VPN. It wants to connect to VPN all the time, but most people don't want to be on VPN all the time.
It drain a lot my battery so i uninstall it . It take >30% in 3 hours
UI from 3 years ago, could use a refresh
This will connect with a hotspot but within seconds releases. Please fix. If they don't fix don't waste your time.......doesn't matter what carrier hotspot is with tried 3 different ones...
As others have noted, latest version pops open when the device is unlocked. If this is deliberate, it is a very stupid idea. If it is not, then how the heck did this get past qa?
My Android devices tunnel back to the GlobalProtect gateway automatically, securing the devices from the scary things on the Internet.
Very fast and reliable
Once I m connected, clicking on portal shows settings and also a button to connect. Which is wrong, as I m already connected. This button should be disabled while I m connected and user will not be misled by it. Clicking on it, disconnects and never connects. We have to stop and start app to initiate the connection again. I think this is important to have that button disabled to avoid any mistakes after the connection is established.
I think people complaining are missing the point of this product. It is intended to provide an always secure connection and send all traffic back to a PA so it can be analyzed to protect you from malware. It protects you when on public WiFi. It also protects company assets by keeping everyone honest, and controlling where the data flows. I'd give it 5 stars if they give the GUI a facelift, but other than that, it does it's job well!

I am trying to use this app on my tablet through my mobile hotspot on my phone. It lets me connect, but as soon as I browse I get booted off the VPN
Connected to a self signed certificate without even warning that it was self signed. On an Apple device it requires a cert from a trusted source. (that would be preferred, or at least a warning that it is self signed)
Doesn't seem to support multiple gateways
Open connection by itself, consuming battery as using data connection
Since the Nov 12 update, when connecting, client pops up a white dialog box to "Allow Connection ", literally cannot click "OK". Only active button on the dialog is "Cancel"
Improved
powerful.
Can't even connect to it! Uninstalling

As soon as I connect I get booted back off. Worked fine until last night's Android update
Had same problem as other users, popped up every time you open/unlock your phone. Problem is solved and it works fine. Latest Dec2014 update cleared problem.
"Unauthorised access to a secured area on your device without authorization." Palo Alto Networks should look at Cisco's AnyConnect VPN to see how an app should behave. Uninstalling.
Remote VPN
Keeps Reconnecting even when I turn it Off.
Very easy to using.
Current version is REALLY annoying. It is constantly popping up and prompting me to sign in. I only use this app occasionally, and the persistent interruption is going to make me uninstall.
Good other than random opening even when using other apps.
1 star for: I want to circumvent this issue to no avail. It also have an affect on browser activity - the browser freezes from time to time. 4 stars for:Otherwise a brilliant app.
Best app for building a mobile working environment. Install this app and a terminal app. Then you can start working just like sitting in the company building.
As other have mentioned, every time I unlock the phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) it pops up the GlobalProtect login screen. In addition the screen for accepting the Terms and Conditions is overwritten by the login screen so I can't even begin to accept the T&Cs.
I have a smart phone, not a virus infested computer. This app pops up every single time I unlock my phone. Its actually less annoying to just uninstall and install only when needed. That's ridiculous.

This app worked until the last update - since then, I can never get it to work. I know it's a certificate issue, but it's supposed to prompt me to continue anyway, but it doesn't, it just says error and cancels the connection.
