Palka Christmas Card

Palka Christmas Card allows you to take a photo, put it into a Christmas Card and email the card to friends. The app starts in camera mode. There you can either take a photo of someone or take a selfie— or pressing the back arrow, you can choose a photo from your gallery. Using face detection, the photo appears in the right place in the first Christmas card. Clicking on the card cycles through other cards with the same photo included in each. The pull-down menu allows you to reposition the photo, add a beard to it, add and position holiday messages, draw or write on the card, or email it to friends. If in drawing mode, pressing the “volume” buttons allow you to alter the drawing.

In taking a photo, be sure that the person is well-lit and is the only person in the scene.

In the menu, selecting to “transform” an object allows you to freely move the person, object or text on the screen. Clicking “Transform photo” followed by “scale” allows you to scale the face in the photo. Transform and Draw must be clicked off to allow you to change cards. Each card holds its own adjustments, additions and drawings.

At the bottom of the menu is the option to email your card to friends. The emailer scans your smart phone and gives you a list of email addresses to choose from— or you could type in new ones.
