A very easy to use universal unit converter. It does conversions between all of the common units, as well as more scientific units. Originally developed for AP Chem students.

I am aware of the inaccuracies with large numbers, and I am in the process of adding rounding to ward off these inaccuracies without hugely accurate strings. I did not realize that you could not copy the numbers to the clipboard, so I will try to fix that as well.
As for the things at the top, those are the common units. If you switch your category it will only show you the units you want, and even less common ones. It will only allow you to convert between those. The common units are added as "shortcuts", if they cause that much problem I can put them further down the list so you don't see them by default.

It does the job and no ads, no tracking and reporting on your activity, no special permissions required. BUT doesn't remember previous calculations so you have to re-select units etc.

I love the apps interface, but i can't seem to be able to use decimals, only whole numbers, I would rate five stars if it were not for this. Update: so the decimal issue was fixed, but now i cant plug in negative numbers, so i wont be able to convert stuff like freezing temperatures. Update 2: The negative sign and decimal are now working, props to the developers, you guys are awesome! 5 stars!

Doesn't require ANY permissions which is good. But could be better however - could save your last setting. For example if you mainly convert speed, you have to go to settings and select "speed" every time you start the app.

Doesn't require any special permissions to run, so you can do this one without internet connection if you have to. It's nothing fancy but it'll get the job done.

Maybe it's just my phone (LG optimus L7 which sucks btw) since this app is getting good reviews but there's no way for me to insert a decimal i.e. only whole numbers can be typed. With other apps the decimal is put with the negative button but for me it only shows the negative option. Update: the decimal problem was fixed and it works well.
