Pretty good app for local news here on Long Island. Covers a decent number of news stories but not in much depth usually. I would like to see them carry more stories and especially more coverage of national and international news. ,

I use the app mostly when away from home.

App used to work, until their latest update... now it won't even OPEN! I don't know how these developers beta test their apps, but they surely aren't doing a good JOB! Uninstalled, reinstalled, still not working ... DELETED! And agree with other reviewers, what's up with all the damn PERMISSIONS! Why do you, a newspaper app need to all these PERMISSIONS, why do you need access to my contacts list, my phone etc, etc ... NO news app needs that ... So until you change your permissions policy ... your app will remain off my DEVICES!

App is good, I like to read the articles from print paper, and the app makes it very easy. My only issue is that I can't share or print articles from the app. Would like printing ability and also ability to share couple of articles at least per day. What is annoying that people I share with can't read without login.

Same as the other comments. Newest version doesn't boot up on my tablet. Very disappointed

Latest update doesn't work on Nexus 7. I realize this is a three year old tablet, but it still does everything I need it to do, except let me run Newsday. Fix this!!!

This app no longer works on my tablet. The latest update refused to let me open it. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. Am upset that I can no longer read the paper.

I updated this app and now it doesn't even work. I can't get into the Newsday app. I am really upset now. It worked yesterday and once I updated it , it stopped working. Please fix it.

No longer works on Nexus 7 (gen 2). Very disappointing. Uninstalled and reinstalled, didn't help.

I wish Newsday would stop putting there spin on the news especially political reports. Report it as it truly happened and let us make our own conclusions.

Been a subscriber since the early 19 60's. I cant imagine starting my day without my copy of Newsday.

Great app, always keeps me informed of my long island.

Gets worse with every update. Now it won't display the newspaper. Used to tell me I needed to be online once, before I can use app, even after I'd already used it online to download & save newspaper. Can't even do that now.

This app was awesome until the last update. Now it crashes constantly even when the app is closed! I get constant notification and I have to close in app manager.

App is back to old ways again. Adverts pop right up and the hypnotic loading pinwheel spins as I wait for paper to load,freeze,or not show up. Unacceptable.

Don't know what happened, but this app is terrible. Logs me off, reset password and help link don't work. As an Optimum this is really disappointing and annoying. Amateurs.

U should not have allowed only paid customers to use the app.at least had u restricted some other content u would have more downloads and users.

I had Newsday on my cell for years and bow it doesn't work, asking for my passwords and sign on and not working ....Horrible and now deleting , downloading NBC 4 NY

Having a lot of trouble with the crossword working properly.

Was fine until a couple days ago. Today wouldn't respond at all. Deleted and reinstalled.

Great news app. Recently working better for me, good local news source.

Noticed my phone was running out of battery quicker than usual and check the battery use in settings. Despite not having used the app for 3 days it had used 13% of battery use (2nd highest after screen). Seems to be running my gps continuously in background

This version wants access to your contacts. The ads were bad enough. I'll pass on this update.

I love the spam they mix into the news articles. Be careful what you click on and whats with all the permissions associated with this app?

Too many and very annoying

Worked well for me so far! I can read the paper and watch photos/videos, view comments etc. Thumbs up!

Only for paid subscriptions

Every time I try to use this app I get popup ads saying I've won some kind of gift card. These ads don't close, I have to close the entire app to get rid of them. Doesn't happen with any other app. So frustrating.

First review 3/2016 _ update 12/2016 HORRIBLE edition does not update regularly. I constantly have uninstall and reinstall often. This doesn't happen on my iPad.
