It's OK, the using of Google news stand or the apple alternative may be a better idea? I don't want another app to remember to open or pin. Also why does it need my location the ability to manage calls and my contacts straight after launching...

I've added a star now they've at least tried to improve it. The content is now behind a paywall but you can buy single issues via the Play Store. It's still bloody awkward though. And my print subscription gives me no digital rights at all !

If you subscribe via the website and download the app afterwards you will not be able to log in as it asks for an account number which the confirmation e-mail does not supply you with. So basically they take your money but leave you stranded. I would love to comment on the app and the content but can't see I have not been able to use it......

I have lost my money on this one. I had to reset my tablet, and all apps are restored, including purchases and subs, EXCEPT this one. There is no recovery option so I have lost my subscription. The publisher has email but not my password. USE THE WEBSITE INSTEAD!

The New European is a great publication but if you're going to target mobile users you need to format the content accordingly e.g. reflowable text, not fixed magazine format. Default font is microscopic on a smartphone and if you blow it up, navigation becomes awkward. Think Kindle guys, but keep up the great work on the writing.

Great update. The downloading bug is fixed and I can now read past purchased issues. And I'm also finding that the digital copy is easier to read than the print edition with tired eyes. A welcome alternative way of reading The New European.
