Lingopal 44

Cannot change languages on Samsung Galaxy S8+ at all! The menu at the bottom of the screen is nonexistant and makes it impossible to change anything without resetting/reinstalling the app. If not for this problem, I would have proudly given five stars.

Used Lingopal Russian and Lingopal Korean in the past and they were awesome. Lingopal 44 doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. Have an upcoming trip, and would luv an update and software patch to fix the bugs

To reset language or change language, you have to go to settings - application manager - Lingopal - clear data. Very frustrating (Samsung S5) =iPhone version works very well

With Galaxy s7 there is no way to change languages (Settings). Very frustrating. It's unusable now. BTW, why is it called Settings and not Languages? And there's no help/contact option in the program. This is the only place I can write about it. :-(. 5 starts if it works. I used to live it and used it all the time. I used to proudly show this program to diplomats/expats. No longer. Please fix. Return to old version. Anything so it works. Thanks!

Stuck on one language. No menu bar on switching languages or going to the settings menu

Man kann nur kurz nach dem Installieren die Sprache wählen. Die Suche war nur während der ersten Anwendung aktiv und brachte nicht einmal einen Treffer. Es gibt nur Phrasen wie "Wie heißt du?" - man kann nicht nach Worten suchen. Völlig enttäuschend

Есть пара неудобств. Язык страны в которой находишся не ставится, хоть есть в программе и надо докупать отдельно. Чтоб переключить язык надо лезть в меню. Могли бы сделать на боковой панели места очень много

Great app on my iPhone but can't change languages on my android, and a bit of a swizz that I had to buy it a second time round for the privelege of it epically failing too.

After installing (Android 4.4) I couldn't change any settings, including source & target languages. PROBLEM SOLVED! I went to App Info in Settings & chose Clear Data. I was then able to choose the Translate From language, Translate To language & click on Catagories at the  bottom to see phrases. Note: This didn't clear the language files which is great so I didn't need to download the 286 MB file again! Note: Earlier versions would often crash when opening. I'd immediately re-open & it would work.

Not working on android 4.3 on Samsung s3

Android 4.4.2 crashes on clicking categories. Has been this way for months :(

iPhone version has been running perfectly for years. Great app when it works, but Android version frequently crashes. Am now completely unable to use it.

This app frequently had technical issues from the start. From audio files fading off at the end of every phrase or word to phantom pop up windows with blank buttons to select to translations in the target language! Unless I know how to READ Russian or Thai or Korean script, translating English into those scripts is going to do me no good. Transliteration was promised for years before they finally added it.All culminating with crashes every time you search for a translation. I paid for the full ver. Dumb.

Since upgrading to KitKat with my moto g this app is no longer working and crashes every time. Please fix this as I love this app and is great fun when talking to international people.

Overall excellent app. Great translations and easy to use. Needs a few minor updates. Some languages only have female speakers. Great for backpackers

As a paid software I would expect better service than translation of 200 phrases. What a disgrace...

I just tried to look for thai but sadly its not included...also i only counted 40 languages not 42

A very useful app but 310 Mb download hung at 70% & 100%. If you don't want the flirting get Lingo Voyage instead. As good, but data file is 175 Mb.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich versuche Lingopal 42 vom Icon auf meinem Samsung Android Handy zu starten, beginnt das Programm von Neuem 268,2 MB (2/2) herunter zu laden. Es stoppt bei 100 %. Dann passiert nichts mehr. Benutzen kann ich es nicht. Eine vorher installierte Lite-Version hatte funktioniert. Eine Anfrage an den Entwickler wurde nicht beantwortet. ... Ohne Unterstüzung (Support wäre schön): - aber mit Dateimanager aller Ordner gelöscht und komplett neu installiert. Jetzt geht es. Man findet die typischen Redewendungen nach Kategorien sortiert wie in einem einfachen Sprachführer. Aber die werden in der Landessprache vorgelesen ;-) Sehr viel größer ist die Auswahl der Sprüche für's Flirten. Wem's hilft ....

A genuinely useful app that doesn't take itself too seriously (I mean that as a great compliment). Some UI issues that need ironing out though.

Very useful product with a couple of minor points. Good point: FORTY TWO languages is awesome for the price. Asian languages need to be a little more clearly enunciated and slowed down in pronunciation. (The Vietnamese is too fast. Korean sounds almost mumbled to native speakers. Cantonese made my Hong Kong friends laugh) European languages are good to go. Russian is very decent. User interface is decent but a playback speed option would really go a long way. A- to A on this product. :-)
