Uniden AppCam

Considering this camera was designed to work solely with mobile devices and the app can't view or find previous recordings! Particularly after quiet a few recordings have been created (a couple of days on high sensitivity). I find it absolutely pathetic on behalf of uniden that this camera was allowed to be sold like this and the software has not been updated. If it comes to a time that I am needing the footage from the camera and cannot access it I will be taking legal action against uniden.

Received the camera in the mail today and was excited to set it up. Followed the directions even though it was a carbon copy piece of paper and they were out of order. The camera is not working and the software is not allowing me to connect. I'm very disappointed and plan on sending this back to Uniden.

Can't save pictures within the app. It takes a snapshot but can't save. Very dissapointing. Apparently I wasted my money on your camera because the app doesn't connect to the camera when I am away from home. No point having surveillance when the system NEVER WORKS. Don't waste your money people. This is going back to the store ASAP

Could Be better. Feels like it was a second thought. for a ip camera that cost that much and the fact that they have so many like it. I wont likely buy another from them. stick to one thing and do it. dont need so many cams and different apps for each model. Get it together Uniden!

I would expect that for a home monitoring camera/video, you would be able to record remotely for longer than 1 minute. I don't know if it's the app... or the camera..... either way I wasted my money....

Worked great for a week. The PIR is garbage. Software is horrible. Records when it wants to and you can't review all the footage because it picks and chooses what days it wants to work. Home security bust, don't buy it!

Uniden you have failed in this appcam app! If you where to make a firmware update that would enable ONIVF or Rstp for real ip connectivity, these as they stand are not real IP cameras but P2P garbage as the firmware stands now and I have 6 of the appcams!

After one month it stopped recording. Motion sensor doesn't work. Hitting the record button on the app doesn't work. Without recording it's pretty worthless. Don't waste your money.

Intermittent connectivity means that you can never guarantee when you will be able to connect to the cameras or not. As a result the whole system is useless. Wish I had read the reviews here before I bought. Will be trying for my money back.

This app is very functional once you figure it out.... I will admit there is a bit of a learning curve but take your time with it and it will become simple in no time!! Love the app!

Camera is great but the app is appalling. I'm not getting email alerts and I have to restart the app after every change to advanced settings or it doesn't recognise the password.

This is ridiculous, the only way to stop the app running and shut it down is to go into my phones settings and force close it. Why the hell did the last update get rid of the shut down button in the app? Will be finding a new system soon as this is just stupid.

This app is basically useless. There are so many glitches in this system. We're being constantly disconnected from remote viewing. The night view of this system is horrible.

Uniden Australia please reply...........hi great cameras...i have indoor and out ....they work fine ...the only problem is the detection seem to be intermittent sending an alert or email....sometimes ot works and sends alert within 10 seconds ...other times it doesn't send at all....its you software problem please keep working on this app....keep up the good work to whoever is assigned the project. I have AppCam23, got it free from airmiles points. Camera itself looks good, easy installation, installed it upside down outdoor, wireless g is too slow. Daytime videos are clear. Nighttime videos in total darkness are clear & bright only up to 10 feet. App software 2.1.95 is terrible. In search result list, it doesn't say how long each video is, and the texts are way too small. In video view, the only thing you see is the video itself, no date, no time, no duration, no progress bar, no button whatsoever, no start/stop/forward/fastforward/rewind, no button to go to previous or next videos, no X to close the video (use the return touch on your phone to go to previous screen). That app for android really sucks. The app for windows 7 PC sucks even more, you can only save on harddrive a snapshot (still image) of the video but you can not save the whole video.

First cam i bought was faulty.. second cam seems to continuously drop out of wifi.. correct me if im wrong but it seems like the app needs to be continuosly running for app to record?

App does as intended. Needs a better user interface as it's not very user friendly but otherwise it works.

Unreliable.. constantly loses connection to wifi. No real options or settings of any kind.

Work's very well great pictures you can move the cam any we're I give it a 5 don't take it back just take your time with codes make sure you update tablet or phone it will work.

Went to set up email notifications and google does not recognise it as a secure app that can use gmail accounts.

I would not recommend this junk to anyone apps doesn't work , also night time you don't see anything

Finally got cameras to work. They were great until it got dark out. I can't see hardly anything at night and this app is horrible! It freezes constantly! Please fix! Without the app, cameras are useless!

Had the camera set up on day 1 without issue, wake up the next day and camera has an image of no connection to Internet yet I can still tilt and pan the camera??

We bought this security system because it was recommended for remote viewing. When we went away for a short break, we were unable to reliably view cameras and this app also the ate entire battery of both my and wife's phones in about 4 hours. Android reported that this app used all the battery. We tried this app and the other uniden app but both were unreliable, would not recommend.

At first it was draining the battery and constantly hammering my 4g connection but it's gone very quiet now so much better. Please make it easier enable or disable alerts and add time zones to enable or disable automatically. Otherwise fine and quite functional. Room for improvement.

Very user unfriendly, have to initialize and set up every time I want to view, maybe I did something wrong, but when it works, it works fine!!!

You would think the email alerts would at least contain a still image of the cameras view. If you are not available to respond to the alerts, an intruder can simply take the unidentified camera and all the images and video with them. If the emails contained an image then the identity of the intruder would be emailed off site. I can't see any Windows application either. It would be nice to capture images via a web browser. I would buy other brands that have these features.

What a heap of junk! It either detects motion from nothing...or you can be standing two feet from it waving and it wont detect at all... tried every setting and every mode, about to smash it.

The app drains your phone battery so much you almost need to keep it plugged in. Play back doesn't work sometimes. Camera is good, app needs work.

The App is fine, I would not buy another System from this company unless I was going to just use it in my house. The outside cameras are useless at night.

The new upgrade is downhill I prefer the version before this one how do I get the last version the new version notifies me twice once right after each other it is very annoying and it's using up my battery and there is no sensitivity adjustment its either low or off I need a sliding scale of maybe 1 to 10

Good cam but terrible app takes a lot of attempts to get cam to load with app...if you get alert that cam has been activated by time you get it to load whatever set it off is long gone

No option to terminate the app is poor programming. ..clunky software...crashes regularly. .....i should have checked the app software before buying the camera. ..not happy

2.1.95 can view cams still cannot playback videos saved. Stable, not ignored, thank you. Can be faster.

200 bucks and it can't even connect to the modem. Hope I can get a refund. Totally useless.

I turned my alerts off and they wouldnt turn back on, they worked fine but didnt alert ? I emailed my concernes to uniden i had a reply the next day asking for a info then sent me a new update. I downloaded to mini sd card, went through whole hookup again but to my suprise my cameras are working with my phone perfectly. Im buyin 2 moore.

This app is horrible. There is no technical support phone number. I wasted my time with this and had to return it to the store. I do not recommend this at all.

The app work for my galaxy s6 but man does it drain my battery. There's got to be a better way to shut off this app. I'm not sitting there looking at live feed constantly I check in for a few seconds when I need to and close the app. But still the battery app says it's responsible for 50% of the drain what the hell.

Barely functional, poorly documented, limited functionality. Wish I could return the camera.
