Uniden Guardian 2

This app needs a big update for the camera an video an let you hear whats going on outside. If you are looking for a good company that sells security cameras stay away from Uniden because wants you buy their system you will be on your own they don't update their systems or apps ever its very sad. Cause i spent a lot of money on their system an never in 3 years had an update which it needs bad...

I would rate this 5 stars if I could view all 4 cameras in quad view. Maybe the maker of this app could make a lot of money with the upgrade. ;-)

This app needs a big update that will let you see more then 1 camera at a time an hear audio on your phone. also I would hope they do an update soon so it will work on my Laptop too, Now this app freezes an Forecloses sometimes.05/17/2015 my phone is the Samsung Galaxy S6. Ok as of 3-12-2016 got an update to my phone the marshmallow 6.0.1 now dont have the exit button on the screen.

Seems like an app made for palm pilots.. What a boring application, the app seems very outdated and not responding properly, crashes, no sound on my nexus5x, kyocera dura force, Ipad and iphone6+. Please revisit this app and create something fun that works . also read the REVIEWS your cusotmers are right.

App has been abandoned by developers. P.s. Samsung and most new Android systems have ditched the context menu button so you can't close the app. However, you can enable the assistance menu button on Samsung devices which gets you the context menu back. You're also supposed to be able to hold the back button down, but that just exits you from whatever program you're in. Fail on both ends in my opinion.

I can't rave about this System enough, have bought 6 Systems for us, family & a friend, partly because I had the wonderful opportunity to help validate it while with Uniden & provided a Test Results report. A couple awesome improvements to SmartPhone Uniden app that could be made (hopefully) please are 1) the ability to not only take snap shots after selecting a camera but also record the live video & 2) have the ability to listen to the audio from the camera selected in addition to the live video.

There are several issues. The Android version does not allow to expand the image to see details. You are limited to the screen size. On Android 6.0 the button to shut down the app has vanished. You can only force it to stop through the app manager.

Just wondering when this company will decide to answer its reviews clearly this system is being purchased by enough customers which would have brought the product with the 'mobile app compatibility' clearly indicated on the box yet its not very compatible if you cannot even exit the app with a simple press on the screen. Updates should have been done by now. Terrible customer service.

It is a good app however I do not like it that you do not have an option to exit the app. I would think that would be one of the basic options that an app should have. Not sure if it is just for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active but either way, I hope the fix for this is included in the next upgrade.

Crashes over Internet. Can't connect unless I'm in the same room on its own wifi. Very disappointed. Waste of money. I want my money back or a fix to the problem.

with multiple cameras...in the muti split screen mode showing all cameras on one screen, it should show you all camera views with live movement ....but instead it shows a snapshot of what it was viewing before....so you have to select just one camera view in order to see it with live movement ...you can't see live movement with all 3 camera views open on one screen.. just a still shot.....you guys should fix this to make it easier to view all cameras at once live...like in department stores or in security office buildings with more then one camera...........then this app would be a 5 star...

This app is outdated and barely functional. Uses too much battery and the menus are not user friendly. No updates since 2014! Don't purchase products that won't be supported.

dont update to marshmallow if u use this app, no more support or update from uniden anymore. they already abandoned this app. i wont buy anymore products from uniden they dont stand behind their products.

Very basic app, poor documentation. Still have not been able to get the email notification working yet. Flaky setup.

Is there a convenient way to turn off this app?? Why do you have to force a stop? Why can't you just swipe to turn off. It almost acts like a parasite!

Frequently quite slow when changing cameras or originally connecting. But once connected, seems okay. Would be nice to have live audio option like the base unit has.

Obviously Uniden doesn't bother with their App or respond to reviews people take their precious time to write.....App update to samsung s6 wiped out the exit now have to forcestop it in my settings HUGE PAIN..and NO ON SAM 6 IT DOESNT COME UP WITH MENU BUTTON ON PHONE this combined with one of my cameras no longer working is a huge disappointment

This has been the best and most suprising tool I have bought in a long time. I've had mine for over 3 years and one is set up out in the weather. I thought that one wouldn't last long in all the rain, I didn't even try to protect it. Never had a bit of trouble with either of them. And they work from calif to missouri and I've installed the app.on 4 different devices, with no problems.

Using Android 6 of Samsung Galaxy S6 there is no exit button in app. Have to force close. Called Uniden they said force close. Duh!! Awful company!

Seems after the latest update with Samsung we are not able to use this any longer within the company we have s5 note 5. S7. And none of the 3 will connect to the cams anymore

This is the app you have in 2016? Very limited no sound no zoom no video playback very buggy and can only view one camera at a time.

After downloading app, I did enter did numbers, security code system name, after continue, the app syas it stop working...?

App wont close and runs constantly even when i close all apps. WTF can you people not make an exit button?

It never plays back any recordings. The app is useless unless your going to stare at the cameras in real time and not have access to your recordings. I paid a lot of money for this camera system and I'm VERY disappointed! There's never any updates to fix the multiple problem the monitor portion always has. Waste! I bought ADT cameras and haven't regretted the extra expense...I keep these cameras hoping the company will do the right thing and update the software.

Works great at first i had trouble closing the app but after much research i found if you hit the menu button on your phone in the bottom left below your screen the exit button comes up hope this helps a few of you out there

Just recently we had 2 fools try to break into our house. They noticed the cams and took off next door(after giving us beautiful mug shots!) and broke into his car...in view of one of our cams. With footage the police made a successful arrest. Now half our street has these units. Low cost and WORKS!! App response a little slow unfortunately. Please keep developing further.

When it works it works good...only when. The app constantly working in background and literally killing battery. There is no normal way to close app, only 'force stop' is working. If you do 'force stop' quite often you can't connect again until you get under same wi-fi, after that it will work under mobile network until another 'force stop'. In essence you have a choice either to have surveillance until your battery is dead (quite fast) or risk loosing connection by stopping app.

I wish i could view more than one camera at a time on my droid. It takes forever to view a live image when you switch from one camera to the other. And one of the camera is down most of the time. We keep having to reset it on the monitor to be able to get the image back.

I have the app installed on my samsung note 4 and I cannot close it. I have to go into my applications manager and force close it. Can you fix this?

Works well to view cameras remotely. Problem is, once you open it the app stays running and puts a serious drain on the battery. Have to force it closed in app manager

App won't let you zoom in during live feed or on a recorded video. Can't hear audio during live feed (you have to record it then go back and watch it to hear the audio... not that you can actually hear anything that way either, as it seems that either the microphone is very low quality, or the noise interference filter thing on the cable is not substantial enough, or maybe both). App can't adjust any settings such as brightness or motion sensitivity. App can't rewind or fastforward while watching a recorded video. And lastly, I can't determine what any of the buttons on the screen mean, as there is no key or legend, nor an FAQ or help section in the app. For as much as we paid for the remote access feature, the whole system is really a big disappointment.

App does not work remotely.

Downloaded the app, constantly has error issues come up and shuts down. Not much good of an app if it doesn't work.

Easy to load to phone. Will not connect to my cameras.

I'm an installer and this is by fay easiest setup ever and easy to use! But for some reason I have to hold icon then select app info to force close, otherwise 5 stars.
