Tweetification

Was working great for some time but has since stopped.

Even though I'm running kit kat on my S4, I can simply blacklist 40404 and still get the tweetification. That way I don't have to receive an unnecessary text from Twitter. Simply brilliant.

I think it stops working when Facebook messaging taking over the messaging system. I have been receiving sms instead since then. Possible to fix this please?

The only downside to using a 3rd party app over the official twitter client is the inability to receive push notifications. This app has solved that problem. So brilliant!

Latest version has a few issues. One of them is that it is impossible to turn the app off. Once you've logged into an account you can't log out or log in to a different account. From the tweet list there should be a settings button. Not obvious how to get into settings (you press the back key). From the tweet list the hyperlinks in tweets should be active and launch the browser. Also, when tapping a tweet it should launch a Twitter client (and it necessarily the same one used when you tap notifications).

Update: Got the app working flawlessly now. Great way to receive quick notifications and doesn't clog up your SMS app.

How can I get my incoming number?

Would be wonderful to reply from the notifications.

Brilliant little app...

Super clever and works great! If there were a way to have the photo in jelly bean take up the entire square of the notification that would be awesome. Not sure if it's possible to download a higher quality version.

Goes without saying, but I much rather have my mentions when they arrive and this does the job perfectly.

Works just as it says it does! However I would like to see an option to enable a LED notification for it.

Thankfully I can start using plume again. I always missed my push notifications. Thanks for this app!

Would be nice if when you click on the notification, it would take you to the tweet. Also, it seems that when the regular Twitter app is slow with notifications, then tweetification is also slow with the notification. Might as well stay with the regular twitter app. I'm not going to rush to judgement just yet.

Once you get this set up there is no better way to receive notifications from twitter. And on top of that it doesn't use up your battery by always checking or running a service. Well done.

Loved this app with my S2 but since i got an S4 it doesn't seem to work anymore. after setting it up, im just getting texts from twitter directly now.

This works great on my Galaxy S2 running JB 4.2.1. For those who uses other Twitter clients but wants push notification, this app is what you're looking for. Notifications can be delayed at times but I assume that's an issue on Twitter's end due to their delay of text alerts. A few downsides of this app, it needs a 'help' feature. There's a 'filter' function that I assume no one really knows what it does. Also, it would be nice if we could expand the notifications (For JB users) otherwise it's just a cluster of notifications without being able to see the actual tweets.

Only thing I would say is your can't see all notifications. Sometimes I get more than 4 and then it only shows some on the expansion. The rest say +2 or however many else there are. Wish I could read out the whole message like when I receive sms

The app does nothing. I put the incoming number in, turned text notifications on and have yet to receive a notification from the app.Twitter texts come through though

Works as stated. I can finally use my preferred Twitter app without worrying about not receiving my notifications, plus I save battery life considering it's via text.

Adds push notifications to any 3rd party Twitter app. Been using this with Falcon's Pro and am extremely pleased with it. I get instant notifications without wasting any battery.

it crashes sometimes out of no where though. It doesn't work with Go SMS Pro for some reason but it works with the stock messaging app on Cyanogenmod 10. If this could somehow integrate with dash clock that would be awesome

I enabled sms notification and edited all of the settings as explained and never got the app to work. Uninstalling.
