This is a wonderful app. Books open up so many windows. Living in a rural area, not close to a library, Overdrive & Libby have been a blessing for me. Libby is user friendly, & when I had a question it was answered quickly & well. Thank You

R70%
by R####:

The idea is fantastic. This makes books and audiobooks so accessible that there's almost no reason not to read. However, the app's overall design is lacking in places. There are cool ideas (like pull to activate buttons), but their behaviors are often unclear. The apps design feels like an iOS app (the app shortcuts being an example). The app also doesn't take advantage of useful Android-specific features, like Casting and Google Assistant functionality. There's more that can be done, but the app so far is promising.

V70%
by V####:

Overdrive was a nice idea, but LIBBY got the job done without any lag, or bookmarks lost. Works faster & you don't have to sign in EVERY TIME (like overdrive). I've been using Libby for about 6 months & I'm glad they're getting promo from libraries because overdrive was a joke in comparison.

R70%
by R####:

I really like this version over Overdrive, however I am disappointed that it is not yet supported on Android Auto while the original Overdrive app is. Any update on when we might expect compatibly?

R70%
by R####:

After numerous problems with Overdrive mislabeling a device, uninstalling & reinstalling, Libby got it right on first try. Downloaded, synced & did it automatically. Thanks for the improvement.

R70%
by R####:

Slow response. Cannot connect to my library account so it does not know about existing holds. Difficult to find and set defaults.

W70%
by W####:

I adore this app, and my local library which this has helped me rediscover. I'm living the dream, with access to a whole library 24/7. The only thing that would make it better would be more books - specifically new releases, self-help and non fiction.

R70%
by R####:

Before I started using this app, I constantly had issues downloading borrowed ebooks from the library. I now use this app exclusively for accessing my library because it works flawlessly. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to manage books that I have placed holds on.

B70%
by B####:

Great concept, however it never allows me to connect my library card. This would have saved me the trouble of going back and forth to the library.

E70%
by E####:

I love the idea, and it is a really simple interface, but I would dearly love if I could read this on my Kindle and not my phone. It is a problem not of the app but of Amazon I guess. Shame.

V70%
by V####:

Absolutely fabulous. The only weird thing is that it seems to get confused with my reading position and keeps trying to sync me back in the text.

R70%
by R####:

used to be able to read my checked out books in my Kobo app and on my Kobo e-reader. now it will only let me read in the Libby and. in the Libby app I have to have internet access to read. that does not work on my tablet on the bus.

Y70%
by Y####:

I'll never go back to Overdrive. This app is so easy to use. I love being able to see where I am in the Hold line. I'm in two book clubs so being able to release the book for someone else in the group to read is a snap. I wish Kindle worked this well.

R70%
by R####:

Great app for accessing my local library! Image loading is quite slow though compared to other apps.

R70%
by R####:

Changed my life. Stop buying ebooks, you plebs! Public libraries FTW

R70%
by R####:

Worked great until the February 2018 version. Now it does not correctly sync between different devices. I submitted a support request. Hopefully they fix it.

J70%
by J####:

The app is great but it doesn't register with my Bluetooth buttons or headset buttons or pebble smartwatch. In other words, hitting pause/play or next track doesn't do anything. And ur doesn't show up on my pebble screen as audio when it's playing. If this can be fixed, it's a 5 star app! I love it!

O70%
by O####:

An exponentially better UI than the original Overdrive app! It shows how long is left on the loan, details of your library card, hold limit, loan limit, loan history, all in a sleek and satisfying way, where the original Overdrive UI missed lots of details like that and felt a lot clunkier in comparison. Excellent app!

R70%
by R####:

Great app, mostly. PC app syncs to latest position from android app. Cannot get android app to sync to latest position in PC app. Would be nice to be able to quickly find next book in a series from within app.

R70%
by R####:

I love this app. It sorts out all the problems Overdrive faced. It's simple to use and much nicer aesthetically.

R70%
by R####:

On my phone, an LGG4, it runs so very slow I can rarely use it and attempting to scroll through "collections" locks up app entirely and it must be restarted to function. Virtually none of titles/authors I search for are found.

E70%
by E####:

The app is better looking than the main overdrive app but the performance is much worse. Some work on performance would help a lot

R70%
by R####:

the reader could have more options. but for free books, well maybe I should give it 5 stars. I just can't though as it's not perfect. But I do recommend it for people in the poor house...like me.

C70%
by C####:

Libby is really amazing! I used to have OverDrive, but Libby's interface and all is a lot better and easier to navigate! I guess the catalog of books depends on the library, but I think it is great. I absolutely recommend it for any book lover!

R70%
by R####:

I deal with the glitches by turning my phone off & back on. Only one big problem ever. YMMV depending on the library system.

R70%
by R####:

Awesome app. I'm reading more now than I ever have before. Well I listen to more books than ever.

Z70%
by Z####:

The app crashes if you try reading on public wifi or vpn and u have to reinstall it

R70%
by R####:

The search feature is not quite as intuitive as you would think. Once you figure it out you are set!

R70%
by R####:

Really like the app, but it uses SO much battery when reading, especially compared to Kindle or Google play books (and I read on low brightness in night mode).

D70%
by D####:

Great app! Makes it really easy to get books on my kindle, and returns them automatically when they are due so I don't even have to think about it

S70%
by S####:

There are some books I've been trying yo find, as physical copies, but they'd always be on loan from my local libraries, so finding the e-versions, brought tears to my eyes. I love that I can adjust the reading settings to my liking, the interface is so minimalistic and relaxes the eyes, and honestly, I am happy I can borrow from different libraries just by linking my library card.

R70%
by R####:

I'm excited by the potential of this app; however, it's not allowing me to login to my library account. I select "add card" or "sign in" under the Library Cards menu, but all that happens so far is that it shows a loading wheel and never gives me the opportunity to login.

by R####:

Just downloaded today, so this is a first impression, but love it so far. Solves the problem Overdrive has with allowing syncing across multiple devices. Still a tad clunky, tbh, but a vast improvement over the main Overdrive UI. Thanks!

R70%
by R####:

This app worked great with the first book I checked out, but now it won't load the pages correctly. I get maybe 10 pages of legible text and then just a bunch of corrupted text. This is happening to multiple books. Really frustrating. Update: I've lowered the review to 1 star bc I can't even get the books to open now.

R70%
by R####:

This app is straight forward and simple to use. This app makes available all the free digital selections from your library. I had some playback issues with the first audio book I checked out, but they were minor and is possible it was the audio book itself and not the app. I definitely recommend this app. In fact, I already have to several friends.

I am new to smart phones and their apps. Libby is one of the first I installed (with the help of my library personnel) when I got my phone 3 months ago. I can access 4 different library systems in my area with one card. As a novice and not tech savvy senior I find Libby easy to use.

R70%
by R####:

I use this app mostly for audiobooks and it's great. The only thing I've noticed is that when you pause book and close the app, when you come back you are a few seconds further than where you left off. I just hit the 15 sec rewind a couple of times and it works okay. The only other thing is that I wish it had a snooze function and a table of contents / track list that you could skip through like audible does.

N70%
by N####:

This app works really well! Been using for a few months now and it works just as I'd want it to. There was one feature I was going to request, but I just looked and it's there, I just had to check my settings. But yeah it's great!

O70%
by O####:

Thank God for this app I had overdrive didn't Know how to add books in it though it said it was also a reader so I had to install Kindle and after downloading it I had to download library books through the internet. ugh so many things. This has everything in one place audible, ebook and reader. Highly recommended.

R70%
by R####:

I love this app! Audiobooks are my housework companions, and help me get my annual booklist done, and this app makes it easy to borrow them from my library, rather than having to buy books I will only read once. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it isn't Chromecast compatible.
