I have loved Shop Ethical since I first purchased the little pocket paper book - now I love having it on hand, all the time and the rad barcode scanner is efficient & comprehensive. Keep it up kids! This is a winner and I refer to it constantly. I'm empowered by voting with my dollar. Good app but not enough product information from outside the US

For almost $5 I would expect much more than a limited search style database. Has anyone ever heard of google? Hopefully with all the money they are making they will do something good and make a better app...

My favourite app by far. I check everything when im shopping.. and always find ethical alternatives to generic brands that turn out to be better anyway !

Best app and easy to use to find all catergories of items ethically ranked. Informative and eye opening. You'll never look at some products the same after knowing their chain of production! Barcode scanner is the cherry on top! Well done Shop ethical!

This app will not open on my Moto G4. Says "unfortunately, Shop Ethical has stopped". I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no success. Very disappointing as I have used the app on an iPad for years successfully, and found it to be tremendously useful.

I love the Shop Ethical app and have used it for years on previous phones. But when I installed it on my Moto X Play phone it does not open, showing an error of 'this is app has unexpectedly closed' before the app has even opened. I have tried installing and re-installing and also installing on both an SD card and phone memory to no avail.

In a world where it can be so hard to make the right choices, this app helps guide the way to ethical shopping and educates at the same time. It's Australian, it's easy to use and it's certainly not a one-use download. For its price it's a bargain! Love it.

This forces criteria onto you that is not ethical or may not fit your personal values, and you can't deselect them. It assumes all GMs are bad although most aren't, some are very ethical (look at Golden Rice!), and the scientific consensus is that GMs are BETTER for the environment. Foods are derated for non-vegan ingredients, but I'm not vegan. Normal foods are derated over organic foods, although normal foods use far less land mass. If I use this, I have to look though EVERY item to ignore the nonsense!!!

I always use this app when I go shopping. You can read why they have rated companies the way they have and if you don't agree then you can just discount it and buy the product anyway! I usually agree with all of it though ;) so much research has gone into this app and I am so grateful I can make more informed consumer choices. Thanks a bunch!!

The amount of information that has been researched and put into this app is incredible. I can't fathom just how long it took to find all this info. Thanks very much for creating this app!!

The Barcode scanner doesn't work for me so I can't find any clothing I search for. Very bummed!!

But I kinda expected like a filter option n stuff for the $5 price... Could have just bookmarked the website for free..

Started using this app when I became vegan last year & highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know what they're buying. Not too sure how often the database is updated, though, hence no fifth star. Hopefully will find out soon.

Just because it's GM doesn't mean its bad...

A few more categories would be great. Overall though it's well designed, easy to use, information is clear and I like being able to favourite brands to look at quickly later.
