Oticon ON for Android
This app is horrible for all the reasons the other one star ratings describe. Oticon, you should be ashamed for providing such a poor app to support such an expensive hearing aid. Just ridiculous that you would allow this to continue for soooo long. Pitiful.
Works great on iPhone, garbage on Android. I know that it is harder to develop a app for Android but most of the world runs on Android. So please spend some money and develop a proper app for Android also new phones can handle streaming. Thanks
The app does everything except connect calls to my hearing aids (Google Pixel2 XL). It misreads battery levels most of the time. Loses connection multiple times a day. Notice that the only customer support is via Facebook. Is that some sort of joke? Apparently this app is an afterthought. You spend $6000-8000 on product and that's Oticons idea of customer service. GARBAGE. Buy hearing aids from another company probably for less money. All time rip off.
Keeps crashing. Not managed to keep it open long enough to see if it's any good. Not very good is it?
Will not connect to right hearing aid since 12/2017 update. Very disappointed
The update has made it so the app cannot find my left hearing aid.
Limited functionality (volume control only). Hearing aids keep disconnecting from app. Unreliable.
You would think if your paying nearly $6000.00 for a pair of these hearing aids they would have an app that worked, but this app is junk. I can't even get it to find mine, much less control them. Garbage!
It's total garbage for the android and my Phonak worked so much better than the Opticon ones. I'm switching back
Works excellent on my android. All I have to do is to reset my hearing aids by turning them off and back on to pair up. Easy instructions.
Won't even connect with my galaxy note 5 no matter how many times I restart the hearing aids.
Does not find hearing aid on Moto g4
Hate it. Limited volume control
Will not connect to my left hearing aid.
Won't connect to left hearing aid.
Does not connect to Minirite.
Always say disconnected
When it connect to my minirites it works great. Sometimes it has a hard time connecting. Noticed if i turn bluetooth off on phone and let the app turn bluetooth on then it connect immediately. 1 star if that is fixed. Another star if streaming is implemented. Added 1 star for improved connectability. Still would love direct streaming The newer app does improve connectivity. Would still love to stream my audio books directly to them
This is a comment on the 1.4.0 version that just came out. I was very happy to see that the volume could be adjusted independently; however, I'm finding that after adjusting the settings to my liking I can return to the app in a short time & find the settings have reverted back to the same volume level on both sides.
Wonder who wrote this software. I have to say its the biggest piece of junk in the market. Connected to my aids with a total more than 3 days. After that it wont connect and just taking up spaces. Whoever wrote this software needs to be fired. He get paid doing nothing basically.
Using Samsung s7 edge. Hearing aides work as they should. Volume control is nice... but why is android not able to connect for audio and for making calls? Would live to give 5 stars to oticon when they make these features available to Android devices.
Useless will not pair with sam. Note 4. States that it will,it won't . I was upset so much it had audiologist in tears. She was helpless thanks to you. $7,000.00 worth of hearing aids some of the best money can buy. No app so much for bells and whistles. Was unable to give zero stars. So state it. Thanks for nothing.
I have Oticon Opn1 hearing aids and was hoping I could use the Oticon On app to control volume and programme settings using my LG Stylus 3 which runs on Android version 7. I have been able to pair the aids with the phone without much trouble but keeping the connection is a nightmare. I can follow exactly the same procedure and one day it will connect and the next it won't. It's a shame because when it does connect it works well. I have now given up on the App and have gone back to using the separate remote control.
I have been waiting for over a year for their app to work with my Android phone. I have sent their support organiztion all the information they have asked for and they still can't or will not get it working. First they blamed Google, then Samsung and lastly Apple.
Piece of junk. Only finds one unit. Does very little. Faster to adjust units directly. Very dissapointing. Hearing units are paired! They communicate just fine with each other. Its the app that's poor. There is a reason the app is rated 64% 1 star and 78% 1 or 2 starts. Wake up. Stop blaming the user and look at your product! Hard to recommend Oticon with this attitude.
Not compatible to android. Have to reset each time when making adjustment at the office. Get home and have to reset, alot of issues. Not told needed pair, instead of one. Don't like it at all. Need to have my phone all the times for volume and constant resetting is insane. And unlock my phone all the time when resetting. Reset again, again, to keep phone locked. Very inconvenience. U must have pair, to work properly on a i phone, not smart phone what i have. Will return and i prefer to control my volume, not by phone. Not recommended.
Was finicky, but working on my Neuxs 6P. Since upgrading to a Pixel XL, it cannot seem to successfully pair. Finds the right unit, but not the left. Tried clearing the app data, turning off bluetooth and restarting the phone. No luck. To make matters worse, if the screen turns off while trying to pair, it loses the one connection it had. The one time it supposedly did pair the devices, it showed they were disconnected, then under no circumstance could I kickstart it into connecting to them again. Update: Managed to finally get it, after trying for 30 minutes, by leaving the aids immediately next to the phone.
I get connection loss and trouble reconnecting, like others. Its annoying and makes owning Oticon aids not so great. Hard to see others with awesome, working apps and great features and yet Oticon can't seem to get it together.
Sometimes it connects left ear only, reinstall doesn't help. Get to work Oticon. "People First", right? There are more Android users than iPhone users. We are dissatisfied customers. And for the price we paid? Be real.
This app is an improvement over the previous version, but needs serious work. Pairing is better, but still fails regularly. My phone NEVER fails to pair with my car, despite my repeatedly walking in and out of range. But do that once with this app and it's a pairing nightmare. Yes, you can fix it with a reset, but that's simply unsatisfactory. Come on Oticon. Hire some people who know what they are doing!
I can't get it to connect to my hearing aid since the last update so it's useless to me. It also needs to be able to connect to phone content like Apple phones can otherwise it's still pretty poor :/
I am reinstalling the app for a third time on my phone (Pixel 2 XL).. The app routinely either unpairs or is just unable to connect to my hearing aids. I had no problems with it on my old Note 4..so I'm hoping this will be resolved. Currently, even when I open and close the battery doors and /or reset the app, the app and devices do not hold pairing and /or it is unable to connect and report info.
Using Moto G5 with Android 7 and hearing aids Opn 1. This app is not reliable enough. It is a wonderful concept, but its implementation comes very short. My phone is able to pair with my hearing aids just fine with no issues. But the app always shows them as disconnected and there is no button to retry connecting, and the user can't understand what's going on. What is even weirder is that I can see where my devices are from "Find my hearing aids". It irritates me that I can't find some trouble shooting guide to try fixing the issue by myself. I do really hope that Oticon will make fixes. This is an app which many folks need to make their lives a lot easier. Please Oticon developers, we need it badly. I'm certain you can do better.
Upgraded from iPhone 5 to Samsung j7v. Oticon on was excellent on iPhone but does not have same functionability as advertised on Android. It pairs well although there are ocassions when the phone must be booted to get pairing working again. (My be due to other Bluetooth devices in range) Main problem is phone calls and music not routed to aids. If coders can make that work in IOS, why can't they make it work in Android? Or is this a marketing tactic to force purchasing an accessory or an Apple device? Android owners should not have to buy a Connect Clip or anything else to get the same features that Apple owners get.
My app is on samsung galaxy S5. I would appreciate if this app provided battery life in percent versus a bar The bar is useless. It seems like people with I phones have more functionality in the app than android users. Not a happy camper
Horrible Bluetooth connection. They need to get with one of the major Bluetooth manufacturers and learn how to pair with Android phones. I cannot pair even with aids laying on the phone. They also need to make them work like a Jabra so calls can be made via voice control
First off the world doesn't just use Apple products. Your company should treat both Apple and Android equally. Why would you just go with one first and disregard the other? If I were you I'd hurry up with the development of being able to stream with Android. How come the TV icon isn't shown anymore in this app, you remove it? You want us to buy an expensive product but not support all the features.
Misleading in fact ALL find my hearing aids are. The app never found my HA and the reason is because when you get your HA they have to be program to accept apps. Also most apps only work with iPhone
This App will not pair with my daughters hearing aids. She has the Oticon Sensei Pro. I thought this app would be nice but I must concur with other users and say it is junk. Nice concept but it fails to perform

This app is horrible! I am a veteran and got these through the VA. I have done everything that was suggested in the reviews and responses from Oticon. "(people first)" is on the case. That's a joke! Every day I try to pair and connect. Maybe one of every 15 times it will pair and work for a few hours. I have uninstalled, re-installed, reset, updated app and phone and everything else. I am ready to take them back and go with something else. I don't have, nor do I want facebook , so what is this company going to do? It appears that "nothing" is the answer!
