ConnectLine for Android
It needs some more security features. Bluetooth can be an open hack to the world and whenever I have Oticon on; my home network has problems. I won't use it anymore, I'll just use speaker phone and talk the old fashioned way. Yes, this is after I added Oticon to windows 10 bluetooth.
It was working great when I first started using it a month ago. Just last week something changed. It will longer show that the streamer js connected to my phone, even tho it is. Its anonnying since this app is theonly way to control the settings.
This app requires a connection to a streamer in order to work. My previous hearing aids only needed an app and bluetooth. Very costly to use this. I'll be looking for a more sophisticated set of hearing aids and not Oticon
Is a great app but lacks just one thing. When starting any media it doesn't automatically turn off the microphones. This has to be done manually. It can be annoying when every time you get a notification it turns the microphone back on
I'm not sure if there was an upgrade that got installed since July of this year or exactly what but it worked fine when I first installed it with my new Alta 2 hearing aids then it stopped. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice now the first time I got it to work once and then it stopped and I have been unable to get it to work since. Attempting another uninstall/reinstall and see if that works. Nope. It tries to connect to streamer (paired to phone and/or in pairing mode) and never does. Help?
This app is not reliable at all. Was losing my connection while listening to music. Now won't connect at all. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve problem. Come on oticon. Get with it. I liked it very much when it worked.
I would find it helpful if the app could send a notification to the phone when the streamer's battery is low so I can plug in before it quits.
Looks and feel likes a token jester by a multinational company to have a presence in the market place. Battery levels clearer please. Hearing instrument Programmes....what is the point of this page and how do you assign a program to a symbol? How do you assign a music program to the music symbol? Graphic equaliser would be good Oh dear Oh dear just why why does it some time take for ever to connect, and my phone is connected anyway. We need a FAQ, we need a clearer way of contacting you with queries Nice artwork and clear, all signs of a large company app, needs a lot of work before it becomes a great app. Do you ever read these Oticon? there are no replies to previous crits.
Is for hearing impaired to communicate with you hearing aids and your device..it fine with all cellphone and tablet too. I love it...
The most glitchy app I've ever used so far
With My Apple 5s this app is Underwhelming at best , sure it allows one to listen to media but will it link with Bluetooth when one wants to listen to media ? .....Mmmmm nope ...one spends $4900.on Oticon hearing aid devices and a Connect Pro to have the possibility of connection with our Cell devices/Bluetooth....Please fix the crappy Bluetooth linking and add a spot in the menu to add a favorite media app would be Awesome .....
Won't connect to my streamer at all. Makes the app completely unusable.
They managed to solve the take control issue with latest version.
Please create PS4 Bluetooth driver.
A Real POS
The best Is good Quality never disconnects good app
I own a new pair of Oticon Nera2 Pro Ti devices. I also own a new Streamer Pro 1.3a, both paired and communicating well with my new Galaxy S7 Edge via Bluetooth. The Connectline App, also Oticon, does not recognize, & views my hearing aids when paired with streamer as some foreign, unknown device. The connectline app continually tells me another device has control over streamer. The app regularly looses it's pairing connection. Oticon devices, and Connectline app resist complete unity of operation
They need to fix the problem with the app taking control. Need to add battery meter so we know how much battery is left.more sound options would me nice also.
App needs a lot of work. Not easy to work. Could benefit from a more user friendly interface. Hard to figure out
With my Droid phone. If my audiologist can get the devices to pair then I may raise my rating.
Working on iOS
Ever since i tried this app my streamer does its own thing like pushing a botton without actually hitting one. I cant even keep my streamer hooked up now because the beep sound drives me nuts clicking on and off every 30 sec to a min.
My favorite feature is the ability to have presets for environments (bar, movies, etc.) at the press of a button. Some suggestions I'd include are: stickied minimized control panel on the lock screen, hotbar, or even just a widget; battery life status (I only get notified when battery is <5‰); and documentation/help pages. There's no info on how to set up or utilize the app. Everything I found was on my own and took some time to get used to the app.
Frequently disconnects, must uninstall reinstall to regain functions... doesn't last. Very frustrating. A good idea but needs lots of work.
Not a bad app, needs some work. It would be nice if it didn't override the phone screen when calling or receiving a call. While the app is open, be nice to see the battery level instead of having to enter options. Also a chance to add personal ring tone as the built in ringtones is hard to hear over everyday noises. Overall, its better then nothing.
Usable, but not really suitable for the Galay Y (GT-S5360). Various elements of the user interface overflow the screen, although I haven't found anything that is not at least partially on the screen. Also tin information page has headings overlapping with details. Won't install on SD card, and this device is very memory starved and is already difficult to update because built in stuff insists on going in internal memory. "Disable Volume" seems to mean Enable Volume! The only added value seems to be battery level reading and the ability to set parameters that can normally only be set with Genie. Identities of paired and connected devices would be useful.
What extra options does the app add? I can see the battery level of the streamer!! Seriously.. Is that it? Sure I can change programme on the app, but it is easier to use the streamer anyway for that. No option to change the volume on one or both hearing aids, no chance of getting an equaliser. I know - they don't want to take work / money from the shops selling hearing aids. The app needs a proper re-design to offer customers some real value.
Oticon ought to get some high school techie to debug this thing. How hard can it be to get this software to detect when the streamer is already paired with the same phone its installed on? It also resets the volume control every time there is an event on the telephone.
Nicely laid out and intuitive to use. The one change I'd like is displaying the battery level on the main control page, instead of only in the about page. Thanks
Would love this if it had more options. Like a battery monitor or widget. Did not see a place where there is a contact info. Like this app otherwise.
PLEASE EXPLAIN THE BACK DIR OPTION! It paired up and worked right away with my Alta 2 pro's and Streamer 1.3. Not sure what it contributes. Battery level of Streamer is available. Controls that are available from the streamer are available. Maybe an equalizer ? I do like the mute button. And a display and alert on battery levels of the aids would make this a big winner.
I own a new pair of Oticon Nera2 Pro Ti devices. I also own a new Streamer Pro 1.3a, both paired and communicating well with my new Galaxy S7 Edge via Bluetooth. The Connectline App, also Oticon, does not recognize and/or views my hearing devices when paired with streamer as some foreign/unknown device. The connectline app continually tells me another device has control over streamer. The app regularly looses it's pairing connection. The app, the streamer and hearing aids, all Oticon, do not work in harmony
Love this app! Jst needs some equalizer???? Lol How about a volume control for either side of hearing aids??? Although, I prefer to just use my streamers for everything, this is an otherwise good app. ☺
I have tried for two days to get the app to pair with the phone (or at least recognize the pairing). The phone pairs with it fine but the app never recognizes the streamer. I have wasted a lot of time.
Very disappointing, works great with my phone but not with my tablet.
Nobody can't understand that what is useful for the hearing aid? The person who can't hear clearly by the right position and using the hearing aid every single time for everywhere. This streamer is very helpful for impairing hear and me also. I'm always using all the time with my hearing aid cuz it help for the receiving call, listening music or video and put volume high or low of the hearing aid.
Trying to pair my streamer to it for 30 minutes now and it just keeps scanning (I have the streamer around my neck). I've had my hearing devices for a couple of years now, so I thought it would work.
If it doesn't work for you, likely you need a firmware update for your steamer. Don't rate the app low if you have this problem. Mine was 1.0 and my audiologist updated it to 1.3. With the app now working, I see most of the controls in the app are on the streamer itself. There are a few additional controls in the app. For example, I can control whether I want to also listen to background noise or not. So basically, with this app I got some controls I've been wanting for a while.
What is the point of this app if you have to wear the streamer?

This is an OK app....user interface can be obtuse and Bluetooth connection is a continuing mystery. I hope back backdir is still in here. I wish TV and phone had an option to be louder and that tinnitus volume control was added
