Easy Menu Planner for Android
I would like one week at a time on the shopping list. It also doesn't let me remove meals once their in. If I tap it it just says something about the ingredients. I would like the shopping list to group items together in food groups so that I'm not having to go backwards in the supermarket and return to the fruit n veg because red peppers were at the bottom of the list. A web version too so that I can go on while at the computer would be good. EDIT IN RESPONSE TO REPLY: Thankyou for the help, when i add a meal the little dots at the left disappear but now that i know where to tap it works. thanks
Easy to use. Would love a companion web application.
Deleted it right away as it only let's you add dinner and not breakfast lunch or snacks.... update so after clicking arou d I found breakfast and lunch options but still no snack option
Brilliant menu app. Fulfils my basic requirements for a menu planner and shopping list. I love the look of the list and plans when I share them and I find the app interface attractive and well organised.
Can't get it to sync anymore. Never had a problem before
Interface can be a bit wonky, but otherwise this app does everything I need for planning meals and groceries for my family.
Very easy and usefull. But need to be able to re-order/move dinners to another date. Sometimes things don't go according to plan and I make tomorrow's dinner today and wish there's away to quickly reflect that update in my plan instead of removing and re-adding
It's ok and works but not ideal. Some of the recipes I've added have gotten merged with others.
Very useful I like it
I love that I can set the day to start on and that I can plan as far ahead as I want. This would be a 5 star app if the shopping list was more functional with categories. Also if the seach allowed you to seach all categories of items. For example I was trying to add green beans as a side, I was not able to locate iit in a search, would not allow me to add it as it said it was already a food. Finally figured out it was set as an entree once I checked that it was a side as well it worked fine. Would have saved a lot of time and frustration if it would have come up in the search.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Most of the other menu/meal planning apps were more recipe driven. The thing is that I know my recipes, I wasn't looking to discover new recipes. I just wanted SIMPLE app to help me put together my weekly meal planning and shopping. Some of the pre-loaded food items were miscategorized (based on what I am used to). For example, like the last reviewed mentioned, I couldn't add green beans as a side dish because it was categorized as an Entree . So I spent like 3 to 5 minutes going down the list to fix the preloaded foods to my preference. No biggie. Do it once and you're done. I love the flexibility. I easily added a few more of my recipes and even added, "leftovers", "Freezer meal", a few restaurant Names. After I was done I sent the Plan and shopping list (checked off the items we already had) to my huspand via Google Hangouts and via email The formatting is easy to read. Thank for your good work!
Easy to use... i love it. .. i just request for web intergration, so can do planning at my dekstop... :D ... and need a slightly bigger font for the widget
I liked this app a lot until it suddenly stopped generating shopping lists which was the best feature.
Does the Job Doesn't catagorize shopping list, doesn't allow enough sides, doesnt allow any catagories to ingredients (frozen, fresh, canned ect.) Needs some sort of "dish" customization, to suit all recipes. Overall, simplifies the shopping to meals process; does well at creating a list. But you will still have to process this list to suit the need.
It was fine up until I actually stated adding meals into my calender. Then it wouldn't show everything, so when I tried to create a new meal from that screen it told me it already existed. Then when I tried searching for it the app crashed multiple times.
I could not find any way to reorder the shopping list, which is crucial during shopping, since I always order the items by aisle.
I like it. It's simple and easy to use. But the font size is too small. It would be nice if you could increase the font.
Pleasantly surprised Truly simple while being sufficient! Widget doesn't work
A brilliant meal planner and grocery list app that isn't tied to a stock of pre-loaded recipes! (There's a short inbuilt meal list as demo but this is completely adjustable) Switched to add-free version within half-hour of use!
Nice app with simple UI. Need to include custom meal options & Dish types to allow user to customize o their own.
Would be greater if the share icon worked. Shows picture of Out of Milk but doesn't seem to do anything.
Perfect meal plan App. Easy to use calendar format.
I really expected your previous reply to my comment. Now I'm disappointed. Previous Comment: It's the only food/meal/menu planner in the playstore that has widgets; however, I can't customize the widgets. A simple color customization and removal of the small app icon, and it would be sleek and perfect!
I think the concept and widgets are great but it would so much better if: -The dishes selection/creation menu would have categories. Ex. Poultry, Beef, Pork, Pasta, Crockpot, Casseroles, etc.... ...it would make sifting through all added recipes so much easier. -The shopping list would have a list of stores that we can create ourselves to be able to seperate the items added to our list. And also a way of sorting the items into categories. Ex. Cans, Meat, Dairy, Vegetables, Fruits, Condiments, etc. + Alphabetical order, etc ...I've been playing around with the way I enter items in my recipes but its time consuming which you dont really have time for when you have a kids! Thanks though! Awesome job! :-)
Doesn't pick up weight measurements of food so shopping list disorganised as several items come up multiple times in different places due to weight
Love it. Very user friendly in functionality and display. Exactly what I needed
Love the ease of features. Would love to see measurements of ingredients needed. But overall simple to use.
Lightweight app that lets you organize your recipes, mealplan, ingredients and generates a shopping list. Exactly what I'm looking for.
Exactly what I needed. I installed and removed alot of them. I like it so much I got rid of the ads for .99 cents now it's even better I wish I could store the app on my SD card but I did find a way to save the meals to my SD card. Thanks! I have uninstalled the others and kept this one. I have it on my tablet and my phone. They are syncing great.
Upgrading 1 star as dev great in allowing offliners a chance to use!! Now an acct no longer needed for this to work. Awesome!! Thx, dev! I keep checking back but dev still undecided as to allowing local export/backup. This is _very_ important on so many levels. I can't use this in the end unless this is added. Too limiting when just syncing is available +for users a recipe for future disaster on so many levels. Dev, pls provide!! Great permissions, no acct needed, so looks like just bkp is missing. Thx!!
It's almost just what I was looking for! I can put in my recipes and plan out the following week and have it all added to a shopping list. Yeah it takes a while to add the recipes but that's fine. However I can't put a quantity for the ingredients in which case the grocery list is pointless because how do I know how much potatoes I need?
Loved the app spent ages typing in my recipes only to discover the fatal flaw. When you have set your weekly menu then go to your shopping list you will quickly spot the major flaw in this app, the shopping list is a daily list so you do not have all total to do a weekly shop i.e. if on 3 separate days I need an Apple for my recipes you would think your shopping list would say Apple's 3. It does not, just says Apple's 1 todays menu.....duh
I think I figured out my issue. Maybe I'll like it more as I use it more?
The update said it fixed the crashes but after loading things in for three weeks mine crashed and it's all gone :/
Exactly what I needed. It's simple (no diet stuff, which is good) and easy to use. Takes a while to set up the dishes, but worth it for the shopping list based on it.
Loved using this app spent hours putting our favourite meals on it, then my phone died and I lost it all so disappointed. If there is a way to save my data I cant find it. Update sept 16, brilliant now its able to store my info to the cloud I will start using again. I can see alot of improvements so thank you for continuing to improve this handy app.
I have this on my phone and tablet. I synced from my phone and lost everything I had inputted on my tablet over the last week. No way of contacting devs. Very frustrated.
I could add more than one thing in the side area. I want to make meal plans for my toddler. Kinda hard if I can only have the main thing and one or two sides considering he gets something from every food group. And sometimes he gets 2 different things from one group so he's actually getting like 7 different things. I just want to be able to shop for the week with ease. We're over prepared meals and want to eat cleaner... Please help!
Really simple and easy to use. No unnecessary complicated functionality added.

It could really use a time filter on the shopping list. If I plan the entire month of meals every ingredient shows up in the list. Some ingredients would spoil before I had a chance to cook them.
