After the latest update the app broke. I can't even login. It reports some network problems... I had no problems prior this update. Hopping for a fast fix.
Timer setting doesn't work correctly because in the latest version of the app, timezone is fixed at GMT+00:00. This means that if you are un Singapore and you set the timer to turn on at 6am, it will activate at 2pm instead because Singapore time zone is GMT+08:00.

Fed up of having to reconfigure these sockets every time there's an update. I wouldn't recommend them at all. They are currently down again for the 6th time since I've had them. I can't even login now it saying " abnormal connection " I've tried everything ! Oh and good luck with the Chinese New year it will be off until it's over. Terrible service. DONT BUY.
It was working fine until I updated it, now it won't connect to the server, it keeps saying there is a network error? I have tried unistalling & reinstalling the app' but it's still not working? I am having the same issues across all my devices including my Amazon Echo? Come on Orbivo, get this problem fixed or my devices are useless & I'll have to return them all...
Doesn't work. Failed to detect the ZettaGuard S25 smart outlet. Also asked me to side load an update. No app has ever asked me to do something fishy like that.
Was working well until an update was installed. Now I get a "Login failed" message when I try to login to my account. If I select "Forgotten password" I get a "Network connection abnormal" message. Same problems happened after previous update.
Getting much better
Hardware unrealible. Do not use as a baby monitor. Sound and motion alerts used to work, now they don't. Tried resetting camera, repairing. Still doesn't work. I suspect they turned off this functionality. Avoid their products!
Starting to take shape and get much better than the previous generation WIWO app. Widget support for Android would be a good next step

Needs more integrations with ifft and Google home.
IT STILL " Turns on or off your plug/device when opening the app ". after 5/25/2017 update ??? PLEASE FIX ! FIX if you want a better review. Other than that, It seems to work OK and fairly relyable (So far). I will give an updated review if/when another update rolls out. Please make widget for 1x1. Thanks
(Originally a 5 star review) Works very well for my smart socket, door and motion sensors (including the Zigbee Hub). Everything is cloud based so it works even when you're on another network. No issues whatsoever. Have been working well for the past two months. ******UPDATE*(2.0.4.306)********* Font is smaller and fits better. Icons for the "family" now looks ugly and "Default room" is now always there even when another room is added. Furthermore, room management is now harder to find... ********UPDATE (2.4.2.300)******** This update came from thier server: Not Google play store. Nothing else other than the ability to set multiple scenes even without connect to their servers. (I'm testing it). Family still unable to be deleted after lots of emails and two updates. Good luck if you accidentally added a Family.
I have Orvibo Allone Pro. I tried to connect it but it can't discover it. Note: I pushed the button for 6 Secs until flashes red and opened the app but nothing it cannot discover it.
Your device is powered on, 1600? The clock is 1000! Turn on 0600 nothing happened? Weekend, on 1200! So Monday it's turned on 1200? And and.
Works great for me - I use with 3 wifi plugs - all with lamps attached. I have timer set to turn on/off the lights automatically. I also have "scenes" set up to enable me to turn all the lights on/off at once works pretty flawlessly - happy with the app and the support which i have used a number of times ***I would love a widget to turn off/on my lights, and wear integration would be nice to see

Why does this little app need so much access and so many permissions to control the phone? Why do I get random Google playstore notification now?

Work every single time
You would expect an app for Orvibo smart plugs to support ALL Orvibo smart plugs, but this doesn't. You can't use this app with the S20 smart plug (commonly sold on Amazon), you have to use the WiWo app (which is actually a better app & doesn't require a login). The Countdown timer in WiWo can trigger after switch on or off, but in Homemate it's a basic time to switch on/off. The Homemate widget can't be added to any screen, even if the screen is completely empty, so basically the widget doesn't work. LATEST UPDATE: Months after installing, this app is *STILL* garbage! Latest version won't install due to some issue 'parsing the package'. RELEASE UPDATES THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY STORE *NOT* VIA SELF DOWNLOADING UPDATE PACKAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This app is terrible just got it working then down loaded an update now can't log in and keeps telling me no connectivity really bad
The latest update wiped out my settings and attempts to add my smart socket does not work at all until I uninstalled and re-installed this app.
DOESN'T WORK, NEITHER DOES PASSWORD RESET, TERRRIBLE CONNECTIVITY, A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. DONT BOTHER

Yes it is that bad. The failed connection, abnormal connection and poor response from customer services has made this the nightmare you see. In all I had about two proper working days of the product. The rest, bought the plug two months ago, has been attempting to get it to work and e-mailed the support. That big orangy red bar below is well deserved.
The worst type of junk straight off the boat from China. All looks great but I keep losing the plug and have to set it up again. At time of writing the Home mate App no longer connects to the servers - hasn't done so in several days. The support team are all off for Chinese New Year - Well that's ok then guys.......
Please, please do not buy this product. Avoid it like the plague, in fact having the plague would be more pleasurable that getting this product to work! I would prefer to papercut my eyeballs than spend anymore time trying to get this up and running. Dismal!!
AVOID! Always going offline, login always fails, always tells you your network connection is 'abnormal', requires access to virtually everything on your phone for no good reason: just an awful, awful, awful app! Please don't waste your time on this product.
This app asks for your email address and immediately tried to update itself outside of the play store. Totally dodgy Chinese application. Return your smart plug and avoid the dodgy company.
Inline with other comments this app is truly dire. Frequently goes offline, reports 'abnormal network', won't login, etc. Update shows as available but won't install due to 'parsing error', a shame as when it does work it's actually good! Unfortunately the reliability renders it virtually unusable. I suspect there is better out there and I'm off to find out!

***UPDATE*** After the latest update, the smart socket will not update its status (ON/OFF) when you use the timer functions. Now I can't really rely completely on the smart socket since I wouldn't know if an appliance is On or Off. *******Original Review****** Great app for All Orvibo products like Smart Sockets, IR Cube, Human Sensors. After an update, it does not seem like anything much has changed and does not do any harm....(at least for both of my phones) However, the app needs to be updated in the play store Not by its own source. Everytime it tried to update itself, there will be an error: "There was a problem while parsing the package". Luckily I managed to update the app by clearing app data and enabling "installation from Unknown Sources". Now it works like it should.
