Perhaps because I live in a provincial area, far from Tokyo, the temperature info is totally off.

This app is completely useless. Forecasts are all off by over 15 degrees compared to supplied by Met office; eg Osaka next day this app says 2 degrees and snow (!), real forecast is 18 degrees. Is this some kind of joke app?
