What are users saying about Sprint Reader PRO

by S####:

The most basic function of any e-reader is to remember where you stopped reading and start then wen you open it up the next time. Sprint Reader Pro won't do this, making it basically unusable for books. This is a show-stopper. Other more minor but aggravating problems: There is no setting to let you select the folder where ebooks are stored. There is no navigation tools to select a chapter or page in a book. The speed of the Spriz words coming across the screen jumps around when you stop and start.

I don't know who came up with this idea but this dev perfected it. No crashes, no skipped words, small app, plenty of controls and you will keep upping the speed the more you get used to it. At 725 words per minute right now & started out with 300. Try the free version which let's you get up to 501, 600 if you share with friends.

I have mild dislexia but this sort of reading has been transformative. I have tried a lot of these apps and this is by far the best.

S70%

Crashes every time I use it.

I70%
by I####:

Love the speed reading part but I can't get books or articles into the program.

But the UI needs to be trashed and rebuilt from the ground up. Invisible hotspots is a bad idea, looking through the reviews, this is the only problem with this app, what's wrong with a few arrows to navigate around the book?

U70%
by U####:

Doesn't scroll at all. Absolutely useless. Can't move forward or backword in a book. Complete waste of money

U70%
by U####:

Can be useful but shut down when you try to read from clipboard board

Kept crashing on my tab pro

After half an hour I'm closing in on 600wpm and am absolutely gobbling up my first novel. Not only is it fast, but it forces you to focus completely while reading. It does need some type of bookmarking feature, and maybe a different colour to highlight text inside quotation marks, but a great starting point.

Don't buy Pro! The demo works but the full version crashes repeatedly and it must be programmed by monkies. Seriously how hard is it to create a stable program that does nothing but flash words on a screen. It is shameful they would ask for money when they haven't made a working product yet.

If it would let me bookmark where I left off reading this would be a 5 star app!

Love it

K70%
by K####:

The interface on this app is total crap - don't waste your money. The swipe controls are severely limited, the scroll bar will help you lose your place in a book faster than anything I've ever seen, and if you're on an S3, the layout of the active scrolling area limits you to less than 680WPM.

O70%
by O####:

Needs a couple of features/fixes to make it 5 stars. 1) fix bug where it loses the page I last left off 2) show page number I'm currently on 3) allow me to specify a page to jump to

Z70%
by Z####:

If the free version is installed, the pro version will "read" way too fast. Make sure you uninstall the free one if you are going for the paid version. Lacking in features as bookmarks, page numbers, and punctuation timing. Paid version not worth it at this point, but probably the best one so far

I70%
by I####:

Needs a page count or at least a search so I can find the chapter I was on.

K70%
by K####:

Great app , please add a bookmark function

O70%
by O####:

Great concept, works well.. However, every time I open the app, and go back to reading my book, it seems to jump to a random location.

C70%
by C####:

Found many articles (either in an app or on the web) are not able to be copied which limits what can be read using the app. Wish it would be available under the "share with" option. When you can use the clipboard, it's great.

C70%
by C####:

Amazing app. Please implement with other apps such as Pocket, or create an offline reader. The potential is huge.

I love this thing. One issue is that I can get two words when a sentence ends... that is annoying. Still, five stars.
